Here's our reaction to The Walking Dead s01e02!
I watched this show during its initial run, but never got to finish it. Erika, on the other hand, has never seen an episode. So, we decided to take the plunge and start it up with all of you.
We quickly realized that I didn't remember much of the show.. at all. haha -- So join us as we navigate the world of The Walking Dead, and get our zombie prep on.

It aired Halloween night In 2010. On their universe, they have no knowledge of zombies, George Romero, night of the living dead. All they know is the dead are coming back and walking
thats how most zombie shows operate unless its a comedy.
The living dead movies were made years before 2010, so they dhould have seen them

@@peko7553 that's just cuz they wrote it that way, but Rick did watch tv before the virus, so really they would have heard of them. They just made that up to seem scarier to the actors
To create the feelings he did just shows how well Michael Rooker acted the part of Merle.

T-Dog dropping the key and it going down the drain was hilarious, ridiculous, & chefs 💋 all at the same time. It's been about 60 days since Rick was left behind in the hospital. Way too soon for Lori to be moving on from her husband onto his best friend. Yes, they were having issues, but dang.
I think she was feeling Shane all along and vice versa, that's why it happened so soon.

Fresher Zombies may have more use of their decomposing human bodies than rotting bodies Plus maybe some infected where physically fit which allowed some to Jog and Shamble instead of wobble and shuffle.
Fun Fact: Certain older models depending on the state of the mechanism CAN be started with a Screwdriver.
Rick is the ultimate badass
Although yes this Season was directed by Frank Darabont who made particularly choices about the Walkers physicality (how they can run and climb etc) But It also kinda fits in with the story of decay In the beginning the Walkers are kinda fresh and as the series goes on the Walkers start decaying making them lose more motor functions as time passes.

I dont blame Lori for attaching herself to the ONLY Familiar person she knew. I think she gets a lot of unwarranted hate because of her affair with Shane. She was on her way to her family in Atlanta when they saw it bombed and had to take refuge in the Atlanta Camp they're at right now with a bunch of strangers who also had nowhere else to go. She was scared. She was alone with her son. She was lost. Lori Grimes deserves better from the fandom overall.
Lori is not a good wife or mother. Who just starts having sex a couple weeks after he husband is presumed dead?

When they filmed the first Season Michael Rooker ended up getting the cops called on him because people in other buildings thought he was a sniper The Atlanta SWAT team rushed to the scene and learned that Michael Rooker was just an actor Lol.
