This is sacrilege - how can a landlord charge $20,000 a month? That's extortion. I hope the landlord gets arrested and jailed. I'm glad they at least have another location, and I pray for the employees who cannot be switched to that location. Important story, amazing video. Thank you.
This resonated with me on so many levels having worked at 2 family restaurants in my 20's that closed, still friends with most of the employees, the warm atmosphere in his restaurant created by food and love and I have been living in Vietnam for the past 7 years and love sui cao, dim sum...this scenario has played out all over Vietnam in the last year and a half....much respect to the private business owners and the services they provide!
This is the third time I'm watching this film. Next month I'm doing a workshop with young people. and possibly they will watch this film just to get an idea about a short documentary film.
What is the documentary about? -About a good diner restaurant about to close down due to some circumstances. Who is documentary for? -The documentary is for the people watching and their customer to rember. List down 2 important lessons gained from the documentary. - When we give good impact towards other people we will be appreciated and remembered by others as well - We should try to concern towards others when dealing with something. Who is the narrator of the documentary? - The narrator name is Dexter
I always enjoyed short films like this, I can't believe I didn't see it for all these years haha. The place you described shows a pretty amazing story which you conveyed perfectly :>
I just crossed by this 6 years old short and i have to say. Nice job! The simplicity leads the mood and you told the story objectivly but woth emotion.
Hey Dexter! Your video's quality is great. +1 subscriber! Can't believe you only have 815 subs. Someday soon, people will know you. Keep up the good job!
Good stuff. Did you know the owner before hand? How much in advance did you plan the interviews? Great job capturing the sense of family and the loss everyone felt.
Hello Dexter It would have been an excellent film if you had used too correctly. When Wesley Law said ”Me too” you spelled it “Me to”. It just destroyed the whole film.
You hear this story over and over again …. Landlord’s wants to get rich and out goes a great long time member of the community … this country has gone to shit and it will never recover despite Republican lies to make it great again …. Our great times are behind us … it is now every man for himself as the rich get richer …

I have a question. How did you get that shot in the train?
What camera did you use for this film ?
How do you achieve this color grade 😩?
Can i ask, what's the model of your camera?
What camera you shot this with?
Did he just say $20,000 a month for rent???!!!
😢😢😢
damn 30+ years and its still not paid off yet? That's corruption there...
renting a place isnt like a morgage and buying it
$20k a month no wonder nyc is turning into a ghost town
Shoulda sued the landlord or threatened to. 20,000 a month is unreasonable

Fuck. Off.
grant huffman lol
grant huffman you definitely lack character
Anthony Hill you sound like quite the pretentious twat. He said “me to” and ruined the film for you. Lmao.
Don't be a spoilsport and just enjoy it.must people criticize everything?😕😕
