This is my favorite song to cover on my acoustic guitar. So so much emotion comes out.

Abracadabra 303 it truly does. Several times in the first few times I tried to play and sing it through I got choked up a bit at the end.

You should check out the live version of this song. What makes this song so epic is that he basically made it up in front of 3000 people.

Don't know if you made a typo, or not but, it was 13,000 people. They were opening for Limp Bizkit on the Family Values tour.
He really didn't make it up on the spot.
The band already had a version on their demo album. Their first album(that they sold at shows before they were signed by a major label), had another version on it also. However, you are correct in that, this version(major label album version)was a departure from the early versions(lyric wise)and was made up on stage. This version's lyrics are even a bit different from what he sang on stage that night.(just watch the video and pay attention and compare to the studio version)
There used to be a video on here(UA-cam) of the original, that was on their demo, that Aaron recorded before the band even brought him in. I'm not sure if it is still up but, I came across it during a late night video binge several years ago....happy hunting, it's worth searching for because it's interesting to compare them all, to say the least.
      😉👍

I've always liked how this Band makes music with lyrics that people go through, and a lot about calling your own bullshit. A lyric in one of their hits says, I cannot blame this on my father, he did the best he could for me. Been about ten years now, but there last cd, as usual, just matures.

I have to say... This isn't my favorite song and I opened this video expecting to not like it. But you're someone who can feel the music. I appreciate that. I've felt love, I've fought wars, and I've felt that music. The genre doesn't matter. Good music is good music. From Hank Williams to Pink to Wax. Good music means something and it's something for all of us. God bless.

I enjoyed this video... Mainly because of how he felt he needed to revisit for a more complete revelation. Aaron Lewis/Staind made wonderful music, much of it surrounding an optimistic view of the internal pains of life. Much of us relate to it, but without the ability to #1 verbalize it, #2 express it in a way that isn't hateful or persistently negative.

I always felt like this song was about an affliction of alcoholism. Like, alcohol consumed him and he sees it's ugliness and is on outside of it now. "I feel tomorrow will be okay". That's a common aa saying.
