Bro I literally was watching all your videos yesterday to hack my vita and i was like "oh man im gonna have to watch someone confusing tell me how to emulate n64 on the vita cuz RGC hasn't made a video on it" and then you do.... Couldn't have been more perfect timing
Perfect!
@@RetroGameCorps It's been a while, do you know if there's been any improvement to this emulator?
@@Vulpas hi, unfortunately the emulator hasn’t been updated since December 2020.
@@RetroGameCorps Oh, that sucks, but thanks.
@@RetroGameCorps Hi, there is a nightly build that is being updated with the last update being on 24th April 2022 but yes there hasn't been a new stable build since December 2022.
UA-cam recommendations "Do you wanna watch the new RGC video?"
Me "yeah man, I wanna do it!"
I love how the most-liked comment on all my videos is usually people saying something along the lines of "yeah man I wanna do it" 😀
Beautiful, you've made so much vita content now you're a good and reliable source for vita modding that isn't confusing. I'm picking up a second vita to mod it and will using your guides. Thank you for all your hard work!
Lier
When PS Vita runs N64 Emulation better than the Switch.
AND Wii U, which is also hackable
cuz nintendo lazy asf thats why I'll never buy a product from them again unless i can hack it from their control
Looks like fun. We’re can I get one
@@clayton9136 still the Vita's homebrew community did a better effort than Nintendo

Just bought a second hand ps vita last friday and followed all your tutorial so far. This one came with the perfect timing to go further in the extension of my library! Huge thanks and I look forward for more video around the vita
Man, thanks for yet another great video. You're the reason I went and bought a rg351p and now you're the reason why I'll be digging up my modded vita again. Lots of love from Belgium, keep making these chill and accessible videos!
Your guides are amazing, clear, concise. Thanks for everything you do!
Watched your guide on setting up retroarch for the Vita, now I find this. You've definitely earned a sub.
Never got Daedadlus to work properly. Finally, a video like this surfaced. I'll test this on my Vita 1000! Thank you.
This was a very thorough set of tutorials and I found them very enjoyable to watch.
Glad you enjoyed it!
PSVshell is one of the greatest things to happen on the Vita. You can get a lot of extra battery life out of the system if you're using emulators in RetroArch. Set all the clocks at their highest, except the gpu clock. Put that one on 83 MHz and you'll get more battery life without any noticeable drawbacks. As for DaedalusX64... Just max out everything and deal with the lower battery life
What about cpu temp? lol
@Thomas Strickland you wont even feel it
Thanks, got my Vita setup with the help of all your tutorials 👍
Your videos for the Vita are the best, thank you so much!
Great video! Always easy to follow. :)
thank you for guiding me through completely modding my vita i subbed
Thanks for covering N64 on the Vita! You also showed me a better OC utility than the one I am running. I run my 1000 at 500 when I run emulation apps and normal when I am not running anything.
The timing of this upload couldn't have been better. I recently modded my vita and wanted to get emulators and then bam, new n64 emulator vid
this is working perfectly. some games glitch out (e.g kirby 64) but it doesnt take long to just uninstall. thanks retro! you earned a subscriber
That is interesting .. thanks buddy for a new awesome video 👍
Man your videos are excellent!!!!
Big BRAVO!!!!
Thank you!
You videos so simple to understand, big fan of your work!
Right?! 100% this
Thanks!
Can't wait to see a update for this emulator
Great video
@RepostVideoTheodort Yeah it's definitely been awhile
"Sometimes we have our view fixed well beyond the mountains that we forget to look right under our noses"
I've been watching your channel searching for the perfect retro device to buy. Even being a little tight on money I was fixed on the idea of getting an Anbernic. I remembered that i have an almost like new Vita i have not used in years. Well, i know what I'll be doing for the next few days.
Hope you enjoy it, this will unlock a lot of fun with your Vita!
Awesome! "You say, Yeah man, I wanna do it!" Like heck yes!
Ok, my sd2vita card is coming today and will follow your updated guide. Will let you know how it works out. Love my Vita, that thing was way ahead of its time, and if I can get n64, psx, dc and more working on this baby, I'll start doing backflips in my sleep.
Great video.. very helpful
WOW! Had no idea that there was such an optimized update for this emulator! Thanks for making this video!
I’m so glad I found you. Great video. I’m new to this. Where do you get the library of ROMs
Unbelievable!! I remember when vita couldn't emulate n64 well and we had to use PSP emulation to emulate n64 all on the vita, this is great!!
Has anyone tried pilotwings on the vita? Always loved that game!
Thanks for the instruction video man!
You’re on a roll right now!
Really impressed with the performance! I'd consider Ocarina of Time completely playable start to finish. Couple of audio hitches once every now and again but nothing bad. Happy as hell!
i honesty prefer the 3ds version imo, native full speed and has the 3d effect
@@HUYI1 not really, since you can patch the N64 version to run at 60fps. I don't know if Vita can handle it, at least, my phone does
@Cuca Beludo yeah the 3d is awful.
where did you get your rom from because mine doesn't work
@@vin_sirr8838 Reddit
OoT runs stable but with some FPS drops, the audio crackling can be a bit distracting but so far so good. Paper Mario is pretty much unplayble cuz of the textures but other optimized games run really good! Looking forward to new releases
I'm disappointed that I got rid of my White Vita with the OLED. I knew it would eventually get good emulation support but I didn't want to wait. What an absolute beast of a system though. Killzone: Mercenaries was an amazing game. (seriously, it was *amazing* for a handheld game)
Sweeeeet. I saw a video showcasing what you can do with a hacked vita in 2021 and it showed the n64 emulator. Didn't think it was actually playable til I saw this
Just in time! thanks!
nice work!
My Vita is about to reawaken from its deep and dusty slumber thanks to this video. Thanks for the great tuto!
Awesome as always thx for this update , definitely will do this on my vita 👌
Thanks 🙏🏾 works like a charm other versions were 💩. You nailed it man appreciate it
Fortunately I’m able to transfer without use of PC again by copy/paste within VitaShell, original ROMS section of N64, after creating new ROMS folder in Daedalus. Great tutorial.
so did u download the roms from the ps vita browser or were they preloaded already when u downloaded the n64 emulator? just need tips on where to download the roms from
@@CalveZilla9 did you figure it out?
@@thibautheiser3544 go to reddit and look under their emulator subreddit. lots of info of websites u can download roma from
Awesome 👏 thank you
I'm one of those people that can enjoy any game at 30fps so this is perfect for me
I can if it's native. Unless it requires a shit ton of camera movement. Literally got bad motion sickness after a binge session of Flower due to that once
Is Autoplugin II getting its own video anytime soon? As well as any of the other apps attainable from modding? Btw VitaDeploy video helped me get everything done perfectly, thank you!
Nicw video, thank you.
games are getting optimized more and more, so maybe we will see the whole catalogue of games, that would be great.
Personnaly i would love to see the bounty on the dead space port (android game version obviously) being taken on, that would be dope to have a dead space game on ps vita
Really good video man, Can you share a link as to where to get Roms? Could you also do a video on how to make Daedalus bubbles?
Thank YOU brother
Thank You So Much
To see the FPS all the time you just need to have the hide menu bar unticked :)
I love your channel and all your videos, thank you very much!
✌️😁
Downloading these videos for reference.
Excellent guide, thank you.
Thanks for another great video. Just curious if you ever had the issue when you copy over your N64 Roms that when you open DaedalusX64 you see your playable rom but also a copy of the filename beginning with ._ and then the rom name. I have this for each of my N64 Rom files in the Vita DaedalusX64 app.
thx this worked
Hey man I like your video! Just wondering I’ve got the emulator installed I was just wondering how do you set up the cheat codes for it?? Thanks please I would really like to know?
Thank you good sir
Hey RGC, could you recommend us a good website for downloading ROMS ?
ty so much
That light blue the best looking ps Vita version
trying to run it but it isn't working. saying that it needs a shader compiler
now if drastic shows up on this device, Dreamcast emulation got a bit less wonky, it would have coverage of all my classic console itches it already has a major advantage for the psp emulation.
Hi sir I’m a fan i followed your processes for ps vita and Im very happy with the result but i dont have that much games Im wondering if you’re selling game files for all play station available and others? Ty
it says runtime shader complier not installed and then crashes
Was totally about to give the Vita away and then your vid randomly appeared on my for you page. Thank you! Any plans on a Neo Geo Section? That is the last one I can not get to run at all.
Check out my RetroArch video, got Neo Geo working like a champ 😎
@@RetroGameCorps It was my error. Your tutorial was spot on. I had the wrong system roms. Thank You!
It’s really good I have had this for a while but it’s most definitely an improvement
How did you setup the Cheats drop down menu? I don't see it at the top of my menu.
Hey Russ, would it be possible to get a DosBox guide for Vita? I've noticed RetroArch has a few DosBox cores and I feel like there's a huge untapped section of the retro gaming world that could be utilized on this device!
Really nice really nice!
Man this emulation is unbelievable the Chinese have really made it easy for us!! Thanks for the videos Bro
Amazing man, i can't wait to get it on my vita 1000!
*shows list of ROM loaded onto VITA*
Nintendo: *breathing intensifies* SEND IN THE NINJAS
Me: well okay's it's late i might go sleep.
*sees Retro Game Corps's new video*
Me: well nevermind.
And btw i hope you make a video about the nintendo ds in the psvita
Any expected date for a new version of Daedalus ?
Hey man,I love your video..been watching since the first vita video, would u mind giving the zip file of the n64 roms? I feel like it’s easier to do that instead of search it up on google and downloading it one by one😅
www.romsgames.net/roms/nintendo-64/
thanks
he can't, that would violate copyright.
I hope their next update will help make the other games run better
I love it! It works for the games I need it to!
So I installed daedalus but there are no files in the data folder?
The Vita touch screen really loves playing up sometimes
Excellent video 👍 just hacked my vita it's great just struggling with snes emulation what's the best?
Hey, can we get a video on how to migrate my physical games to the sd2vita> i tried looking at other tutorials and some of the stuff they have in their psvitas I do not have like a storage manager script, I do not have it in my files. I saw nonpdrm but could not follow it
Seems like a great option but I still see irregular frame pacing and jutter. Which handheld device other than Steam Deck runs them at more stable fps?
dumb question but can we do this through the vita itself? after issue after issue i got all my jailbreak stuff to work but content manager wont install properly on my computer so until i get a reader for the laptop i wanted to attempt downloading these through the vita, is that possible?
thank you for the video
Hey man I’m new to roms how did you get all those games as Roms?
what page do you use to download all of your emu games?
Does killer instinct gold work on this emulator? This definitely has me more than willing to add this on my Vita.
I did the guide and it worked like a charm, but I donpt have any games like Conker. Where do I download the N64 rom games for the Vita?
Are you going to release a video showing how to download vita back ups?
Nope, that's a little too close to copyright infringement for my tastes, but there are plenty of other videos and sources out there for that :)
Whenever i try and make a vpk folder or roms folder it doesnt show up on my vitashell . Any help?
is there a way to transfer the savegames to a retroarch system and back? if so how do you do that ?
Do you have a link where there are the Roms to Download (dont know where to go) thanks !
I can't wait til they get Dreamcast working well on the PS Vita, I have a physical Dreamcast, but I can't exactly bring a TV, my Dreamcast & games, and a generator to work every day lol.
That's why I've been eyeing up a Steam Deck, but being able to use my Vita would save so much money.
Man I feel you on that.
and the vita is actually portable. the steam deck looks like it need a whole backpack to itself.
Every time I download theDaedalusx64 and follow your instructions..but when I open my PSvita the Daedalus file is not there. Even though it's actually on my PSvita. When I open it with my with my PC. Any reason why my vita shell is not recognizing it?
Do I have to create a cheats folder? If so, what format should the cheats be in?
Where do you get the games from i could be missing something. In a few of his videos he refers to his game library with the ps1 and psp and n64 games. Is it a website or he has them on his only laptop/pc
CDROMANCE
I need help when it comes to the downloaded Nintendo 64 games. Where did you get them exactly from? I’m at the part of the video where I’m supposed to drag them into the “roms” folder what do you get the games from?
Did you ever figure it out?
Search up “vimms lair n64” that’s where you download the games from
hi sir, im following your video but i always get sha256sum mismatch on final h-encore. any solution to this? thanks in advance!
Great video
The issue I’m having is to download the first part of the video for the 64 download I just keep getting error ? And I’m not sure why
@Retro Game Corps Hi have you tried Doom 64 on it?
Any news on a controller fix for the latest 351elec n64 core?
