    I have a C1 slide on my 43x and so for I've run about 2500 rounds through it with two malfunctions. Its been good to me so far. The one thing so far about this slide is, the port area is starting to erode away. I only have 3 months with it. I going how much longer it last till the port hole will be bigger.

    Have a c-1 on a sct43 frame. Shot it about 100 rounds to break it in than it kept being out of battery. Took it apart was really dry no gun oil so improvised with motor oil ran like a champ! Definitely a few 100 more rounds and I'll carry it.

      Awesome man - thanks for the feedback. How do you like the SCT frame? Have you compared it to the micro frame?

    • @hemihayden

      @VPTACTICAL can't compare it to the micro frame because I didn't have one but I did have the bigger dagger. Honestly I like it alot more reminds me of my shadow systems grip. Definitely very rough texture already and it comes with oem glock internals. Only issue I had was a small cruciform adjustment it shoots great even for a glock trigger.

    Unfortunately, I received my micro dagger yesterday and its already on the way back to PSA. Slide kept getting jammed without cycling back far enough to chamber the round. It settled down after 50 rds but PSA wanted me to send it back so they could look at it. I have no doubt they will make it right.

    Wanted to put a Micro C1 (Comp) on my old Glock Factory (early model) 43x frame, so I bought the complete slide from PSA. Haven't shot it yet but playing w/ it today. The slide is stiff but functional, just dry firing (between 100 & 150 dry fire reps). My research on the Micro has resulted in the possible presence of some PSA QC issues. As of right now (again, dry fire only) everything looks A-OK. Now, I have a Factory Glock 48 MOS as well. I actually prefer the longer slide of the 48 over the 43x for Appendix carry. I only use the old 43x to pocket carry (in a Sticky Holster of course), which is rare.
    So my thoughts were I'd put a Micro Dagger C1 slide on the old 43x frame & have the benefit of reduced muzzle flip while rapid fire shooting. If the Micro slide runs as well as my Glock(s), and w/ the built in slide Comp, then what the heck...I'll use it in my EDC rotation. And, if that's the case, I'd just feel more confident replacing the Micro slide internals w/ Factory Glock 43x internals.
    W/ that in mind, I got a bit ahead of myself today...again, brand new, dry fired only, PSA Dagger Micro C1 Cerekote slide...I thought I'd swap the slide parts of my 43x over to the new Micro C1 slide (Cerekote). Interestingly enough, Glock striker group wouldn't insert (into the Micro) and neither would the Glock Firing Pin Safety. The Micro is too tight for those mentioned Glock Factory (used) parts. At this moment I'm thinking it may be the Cerekote finish on the new Micro slide.
    Alas, looks like I'll leave well enough alone for now until I get about 500rnds through the new Micro slide.

    • @VPTACTICAL
      @VPTACTICAL  3 місяці тому +2

      Hello sir - thanks for the feedback. There's certainly a lot to customize and a number folks swapping parts back & forth between the 43X and Micro. Initially I thought the small package would have some uncomfortable recoil, however, after shooting the heck out of it: I've come to really like it and enjoy it shooting it. The C1 is just a slightly softer shooting version and its a favorite of mine as well. You're not lying and I agree with you the fitment is incredibly tight, my bet is that its related to the Cerakote finish & machining tolerances. Get out and shoot that thing, time to break it in. Thanks for the honest feedback, you're comment reminds me a lot of how I think and process information. I appreciate you being part of the squad, and hope that you stick around the channel. Be safe and stay vigilant!

      So, 300rnds to 400rnds later, Micro slide has been flawless. Sadly, I'm still undecided (ref. internals) if I trust the PSA Micro enough in my EDC rotation. Mind you, it's only because of the few horror stories/video's I've found ref. PSA internal parts issues. If I could only fit Glock Factory internals into the PSA! Anyway, my youngest son talked me out of the slide...he shoots & EDC's it now and loves it (on his 43x Factory frame). Not sure how many rounds he's got through it but thus far no issues. I will say, neither of us can tell the difference in recoil compared to a Glock 48...LOL. He says it shoots softer/flatter than a 43x. I might agree? Regardless, I still think it's a great option for the 43x, not so sure ref. a 48.

      @VPTACTICAL  2 місяці тому +1

      @retiredsergeantroefaro4137 I hear you, you’ve got to be comfortable at the end of the day with what your carrying. Most parts are glock swappable - minus the trigger, unless you do a full drop in with a trigger housing. I know some folks that have swapped over parts from glock into their micro dagger. It may have some trial and error as the dagger tolerances are tight. From everything I’ve read and seen it’s possible.

    How much of a recoil difference is there with the c1 vs the regular dagger

    • @VPTACTICAL
      @VPTACTICAL  3 місяці тому +2

      Great question - it’s hard to quantify in terms of a percentage or otherwise. The perceived recoil is less and follow up shots are faster. It’s definitely noticeable but not ground breaking lol. Overall given the added length/weight plus the slide ports it’s a softer shooting gun overall. @Jwilliamstech Awesome, got some toys and good knowledge to boot. I’m with you on the hinged triggers, not a fan. Apex does make some solid triggers, different trigger housings in the micro dagger. I’m sure you knew that but a friendly heads up. I love projects too, at least when they’re upgrades and fun to do. Are you planning a full drop in for the micro?

    • @Jwilliamstech
      @Jwilliamstech 2 місяці тому +1

      @VPTACTICAL Not sure yet, I know the 43X trigger is a little different and there are dedicated PSA Micro triggers out there. Probably going to .25 cent the bar and other metal-to-metal areas first and maybe a 3.5lb connector. If I can get it smooth enough I'll just get a shoe or bar & shoe. If it's still a trash trigger pull I'll go ahead and get a complete drop-in. Either a Holosun Carry or 407K and a TLR-7 for sure, undecided on the trigger until I do some tinkering 😆.

    My dagger C1's extractor was literally broken right out of the box. Would not extract whatsoever. I ended up having to replace every single internal with a Glock part, thus negating any savings I had saved in putting it together and leaving me regretting not just getting a 43X MOS slide.

    I don't get the apparent popularity of the Micro with longer barrels and slides that make it not so micro anymore. The appeal for me was 15 rounds 9mm and small and light as possible for cc. I'm sure the cuts help with rise a bit but then the gun is just about as long as other ones

    • @VPTACTICAL

      The "Micro e/ longer slide", ie Glock 48, just sits/carries so much better...for me. I carry a G19 size pistol during the winter/cold weather months, often OWB 3-4 O'clock position. Warm (T-Shirt) weather, I prefer Appendix & thinner pistol. The longer (48) slide flattens the pistol better & barrel doesn't dig into me bending over (the 43x does). I also get less print w/ 48. We R all built & move different. I'm 58yrs old, 6', 225lbs & by no means washboard abs...I've got alittle padding but exercise regular & do not have a "gut". Longer slide of G48 may not work for all, just does for me.
