Not that it would make a difference with the cycling issues but when running the shield arms mags, have you guys also changed to a metal mag release? Because I’ve heard the shield arms metal mags will eat up the polymer mag releases. Maybe that can cause some seating issues
I’ve never changed mine out even with the 43X and it’s never given me a problem although the other guy that’s in the video @TNTactical said he had some problems with his eating up the magazines
I have had nothing but good luck with PSAs rifles and rifle parts . HOWEVER, I have built out 3 daggers (g19) using dagger frames, aftermarket trigs and barrels , ect . Of the 3 , one is running right now . The PSA dagger can NOT be regarded as a platform . Best I can tell the tolerances are to wonky to use with other Glock compatible parts without being a huge pain . Also , one of my daggers has a dead trigger too . If you buy just a dagger , a whole gun , you probably won’t have any trouble. If you buy dagger parts as a Glock compatible platform , you most assuredly will .
I have a PSA Dagger slide on my G19. Haven't had any problems other then a couple jams which I'm chalking that up to the slide, barrel etc all being brand new still, and not broken in yet.
I got my Micro frame back from PSA, they said that a break in period would help. They claimed tolerance stacking from the dagger frame coupled with the G43 slide, also the slide being Cerakoted was the problem. Neither my G43, PF9ss nor my SCT G43x frames had these problems.
The sleeve is used to basically make it a smoother area for the striker to slide. As far as the glock mag issue, I would be interested to is where the mag catch is on each mag. The PSA mag be designed to sit a little lower. Or your slide is too tight against the lower.
I dont accept break in periods. My hellcat has run 5k rounds without one failure with every kind of ammo you can think of. Only other micro compact I trust is SW Shield Plus.
@@sebastianpoe3799 My friends and I never had a problem with dozens of glocks, SW, and springfield XD right out of the box. Break in period in this case means that the product is unreliable out of the box until a certain amount of initial use.
@@sladeoriginal again, everything mechanical has a break in period. The motor in my truck worked right off the lot too, but it still has a break in period. Sorry about your room temp iq and lack of mechanical knowledge.
Well I'm definitely not a PSA handgun supporter somebody is going to tout their handgun products is great I do agree with his statement as somebody who's done CNC work before that there is always a break-in. Especially for things who have very tight tolerances like Shadow systems and custom guns once you start getting down to 20 30 40 thousandths of an inch things are starting to get really really tight when it comes to fitting so yeah don't sit there and say there's no such thing as a break-in. And blah blah no that's because they are actually fitting things on the very loose tolerance to make sure they work in a state reliable but that works itself in so that's all a bunch of nonsense it doesn't prove itself in that statement whatsoever in regard to intelligence standards or common practice in Machining
Does the PSA micro dagger have a steel/aluminum/ metal alloy magazine release or a polymer magazine release like the Glock 43x? Because if it's metal, it's going to tear up those polymer glock mags, which would cause a feed issue. If it's polymer, the shield arms mags are going to tear up the polymer catch on the magazine, which would again cause feed issues. You can only do metal to metal and polymer to polymer. With you mixing of mags, YOU might be the problem. Not the gun.
The first 43x I did was a PSA Micro frame and an off brand slide (psa didn't have slides in stock at the time) it had the trigger not wanting to release the striker issue. It never stopped working like yours but it got progressively worse until the trigger pull was obscene. I checked the trigger bar to striker engagement and it was like 130%. I adjusted the tab and corrected the geometry. I was surprised at the Micro trigger bar metal. It's not as hard as a glock oem trigger bar. That said, after that it functioned 100% the next trip to the range. Then I installed a p80 flat trigger shoe and a ghost connector, and tightened down the slide rails on the km tactical slide. I like it enough that I bought another micro frame with the two mags to do another pistol. Have only used psa mags. Have about 10 more hours of dry fire on it.
I bought some mag pull mags 15rd for my G26 and a couple of OEM G19 mags, the mag pulls just didn’t work. I run the OEM mags on the G26 and now I’m running them on my Dagger compact and ZERO issues after 150rds. I’m not interested in the Micro so I wouldn’t be able to give my thoughts but with the Dagger compact OEM Gmags are the way to go.
I've got some experience working on/ modifying Glocks. The way your trigger was acting in the last video, it seems like your cruciform never disengaged from your striker sear surface. As you pull the trigger back, the cruciform should drop off the ledge in the trigger housing, thereby disengaging from the striker sear surface. Instead, you could pull back as far as you wanted, as hard as you wanted, and never drop the striker. I don't think that was debris in the striker channel, because I don't think your trigger bar cruciform ever let go of the striker. Get an armorer's backplate and you should be able to see if that's what's happening. It could also be out of spec geometry on the trigger hole, trigger bar, or even something jammed in the trigger housing not letting the cruciform drop, or the actual trigger shoe could be broken/ no longer engaging with the trigger bar (I could see a cracked trigger pin hole causing this issue intermittently). This is my guess on the dead trigger issue, and doesn't have to do with your mag issues.
My sample size of 2 has zero issues with both psa and Glock mags. Personally it seems like you are the cause of the feeding issues. The shield arms mags have a bad name but ETS has an absolutely terrible name in the industry. Glock OEM and PSA OEM mags I have 10 of each and have run about 1500 rounds through them, no issues. The only issues I had came yesterday with S&B 115 ball, that ammo jammed both pistols every other round. I stripped a couple mags and gave a box to the guy next to me and it worked great for them. It was jam city for me with that ammo. Otherwise the c-1 and extreme carry cut in fde have been flawless
I’m calling PSA customer service tomorrow to request a new barrel. Feed ramp on my brand new MDC-1 has deep horizontal scratches. QC seems to be slipping. I’m hoping PSA will make it right.
I have a Glock 43X MOS with a PSA comp slide on it so far no issues with the Glock mags . I thought you weren’t supposed to use the Shield arms mags until you changed out the polymer mag catch to a metal one?
I'm not making this comment to say you DONT do this. I'm making it as a PSA When I got to my first duty station in the army, we had a Master Armorer who should have been a SGM 2 times over but for whatever reason chose to stay an SFC and stay in the armory, passion for gun, whatever. Any who my buddies and I would go to an off post range every weekend and he'd be there. He came over and asked if any of us had new weapon systems we've recently purchased. Some of us did, he showed us that whenever you buy a new gun, rifle or pistol, to take it apart. Wipe factory oil/lube, put in some car oil, hoppes no 9, whatever gun oil you like best. Rack the slide/charging handle around 200 times to simulate an average range day. break in the spring, let the slide shave any uneven polymer or metal that it would while you were shooting, with occasional dry fires. I've done that with every gun for the last 12 years Ive owned personal firearms and have never, over 12 different manufacturers and around 3 guns per brand. have ever had my weapon malfunction on me. the closest thing was a Canik TP9V2 that a girl I took to the range limp wristed, had a stove pipe. That procedure pre wears the springs, "mills" the slide to the polymer or metal frame for you and prevents sharp edges from causing misfires at the range. Try it out
Looks like it shoots good with PSA MAGAZINES. Also I know the Glock slim lines do not have the sleeves like the full size. Probably the same with PSA micros.
video out there on doing after market trigger jobs, when they are just slightly out of alignment, trigger reset are a common issue, like trigger bar, shoe, etc.. if you keep factory items in, no issues, so when you install after market items, you will have to make adjustment with various part(s) whole trigger assembly, inluding the housing, etc. oh, there is also a video out there about mags, if you look closely at all 3, PSA fits best, more snugg in the mag well, where the others have some play, cause some of the hang ups. and yes that upper may be out of spec too
In my Micro D there was a metal burr in firing pin channel from the extractor cutout being drilled too deep and pushed the edge of burr into the channel. After bending sliver it popped off.
If you run a shield arms mag it doesn't seat and can fall out whether it's in 43x 48 or micro dagger. If you run the metal mags you need the metal mag release. Psa mags are meant for polymer. My only issue with psa mags is that the plastic melted through consistent use. I was loading them with a speed loader and mag dumping. After a 800 end day the mag was melting. Had to take a file to it to clear the plastic lump
ive read that the comp micro dagger slides are the issue. from what i understand the slides heat up real fast transfering that heat to the rest of the gun. If thats the case i bet those internals are hating the heat something to think about. Mag issues are mag issues.. even the psa mags are not good.
Hey guys, I'm just trying to help. Had a similar issue on the compact series. I just pushed the slide stop level spring down, and it solved the problem.
I really like my standard dagger build. But like all my guns i waited over a year, waited for demand to slow down and let them work the kinks out. Its been 100% ordered a complete lower and completely built the upper, only splurged on my "hackathorn" sights and an all steel recoil rod. Im gunna do the same with the micro. Hopeful they run a non optic cut line. A bit of a boomer i guess 😅
I had issues with mine out of the box, These pistols from what I have learned have to be broken in before they work.. mine didn't wanna go into battery and had feeding issues, to fix the issue all I did was literally sit and rack the slide over and over and over for an hour.
I have the same micro c-1 and it’s so hard to rack the slide , I have kept the slide locked back for 24 hours and I have sat here and racked it so many times and it is still rough to rack like something is holding it back
When you buy a new firearm that has never been fired, it often has problems. Pretty much every pistol I have purchased has some kind of problem the first 100-200 rounds. Once you break it in a clean it good you will be good to go. Patience.
I love my dagger tbh sure it’s not perfect but with a little adjustment and some parts swapping they can be reliable the main issue is there trigger system the cruciform on the trigger usually needs adjustment and after that there normally solid your problem was 100 Pepe cent the cruciform
That’s what Mat said from PSA. He commented on the first video that I did. He said that exact same thing. my point would be this if he knows that that’s the issue obviously that has happened to a lot of people. So why is this issue still leaving the factory?
Got 2 Daggers and a Rock57 love them. For what I am seeing most folks are having problems with the Micros. So, I will be not buying one for now. Good to see little Josh.
Mirco Dagger frame, with Tactical Pontoon Peacemaker Daily 4.0lb Drop In Trigger System, Shield Arms steel mag catch, S15 magazines and OEM Glock 48 slide and barrel, with EPS Carry. Runs like a top. Streamlight TLR-7 X Sub coming soon.
My micro dagger had lots of problems. Dead trigger and the recoil spring was out of spec. It wouldn’t run a whole mag. I have now replaced almost every part I can with OEM Glock parts. Tactical Pontoon trigger. I run Gen 2 Shield Arms mags and it now runs perfect. I will not be buying any more. I could have almost bought two Glocks for the money I have in this PSA.
Had dead trigger every 5-7 rounds, then i saw some videos on it, pulled some of trigger spring help it, then i just did a little bit of polishing of some parts now i haven't had an issue, yet with both the micro fancy mag and the cheaper one. And it was tactical pantoon who's video i saw Also it seems to eject rounds pretty hard
My Glock 19x would stove pipe every 2-4 rounds ended up buying a new barrel and fixed my issue my dagger did the same as yours but the fix was free Glock was no help psa told me my issue right away and offered to send the part free
I like the price and made in USA. But it has to work with their mags. If not it’s a no go. I got my 43x when they came out the silver slide so far no problems but if I didn’t have the Glock the PSA would be tempting.
The 43 has no channel liner.. so that has nothing to do with the dead trigger anyways. You need to pull the trigger housing out of the frame and adjust the connector then problem solved
Well this makes me sad. I have a dagger full size sw4 slide threaded barrel with a Herrington comp and it’s been one of the most reliable guns. I’ve shot 3000 rounds through it to date and Ive only done 2 cleanings. I put every gun I have through the paces to determine what gets carried and what’s a range/practice piece. But I orders a micro frame one a whim giving it was on sale as a blem hoping it’s not a total bust.
My uncle gave me his G19 that he had for 8 years. I carried it for almost 6 years, but my buddy wanted it pretty bad, so when I went S&W M&P, he got it. He carried it for another 3 or 4 years. I must have put at least 1000 rounds through it. My uncle probably put close to that though it, and my buddy another 1000 easy. No failures to feed, eject, fire, or cycle. With the exception of my uncle, perhaps limp-wristing a few shots because of him developing Parkinson's. That's why I got the G19. There's just something about a Glock. I just like the grip, thickness, and carry-ability of my M&P Shield. So I don't see the need to switch out. Great video, bro. Thanks & God speed.
There is no liner in the 43/48 glocks either, I have 2 micro daggers well over 1k rounds through each swapped out trigger group in my x1 all factory c1 and carry them , only issues I have had were using sct frames but after 50rds both frames were good. Your disconnector was the problem with the trigger resetting as psa commented just like I did, a very common problem with striker guns oem glocks incuded

Awsome update. I just went out and shot my mirco dagger, and I'll just say it hates steel case ammo 😢, sorry magtech lol so ima end up getting an oem glock barrel for it. But I have got a shield mag for it, too, but no issues there. Other than that, I like the feel and the way it shoots, got an Align tactical thumb rest for it, and like it more.
i tried to put an oem glock trigger assembly in the micro dagger and got a dead trigger. but put the psa trigger back in and ran flawlessly. Keep it stock stupid
I love PSA products but their pistols are not as reliable as a Glock. They have some slight QC issues and the consistency is not there yet. One issue with a dead trigger is the connector has to be bent out a bit to fix it. Johhny Glock has an excellent video on how to fix that.
@x3overland114 Let me ammend this response I actually had about 4 failures checked my notes, and it was on one magazine the 15 plus 5 extension, returned under warranty and SA replaced the magazine with a gen 3 .
My micro dagger will not chamber 124 gr. Federal, 124gr. Fiocci hollow point ammo. Rounds Stick in the chamber locking the slide out of battery. Anyone else have this problem?
Have a sct frame with micro c-1 slide. But I also have a glock oe barrel and guide rod. Mine was shooting great than started to act up just a little more lube and was good to go. But being a cerakoted slide definitely needs to wear the paint etc. Off.
You aren’t supposed to use the shield arms s15 mags unless you have their mag release because it’s also metal… the oem glock mags and PSA micro mags both have polymer where the mag catch hits the mag, so with your polymer mag catch it’s plastic on plastic and fine… with the s15 mags, the more you run those metal mags through it, the more those metal mags will chew away at the plastic mag catch and start causing problems, even after you start putting other mags in because your mag catch is starting to slightly change where it isn’t holding the magazines in quite the same as it did… which will start causing issues like you’re having… Either replace your mag catch and only use the metal s15 mags Or replace with new oem plastic mag catch and only use plastic Glock or PSA mags. Try that and let me know if you have issues again.
I wouldn't blame PSA for aftermarket parts not functioning properly. Aftermarket parts are a likely failure point with Glocks too. Clint Smith has some comments on that. Are you sure you're not pushing on the slide release when firing? A camera on the other side of the pistol would have been helpful. But it does prompt the question is it wise to save a little money on a budget pistol or just get a Glock or Walthter PDP-F.
PSA's AR's have better QC then Aero Precision..... My Experience = 11 PSA's (a few blems) 0 issues 9 Aero's 2 issues both needing complete returns for NEW serialized product and extra cost (transfer fees) + time. Perspective = A $450 Radical firearms complete firearm with ambidextrous safety has had less issues than %20 of the Aero's..... Conclusion = Quality Control is rather hit or miss with most companies. Ex. Daniel Defenses new H9 pistol Keyholeing.... unacceptable - Godspeed
@@BlackDiamondgunsandgear I'm thinking more along the lines of manufacturer and whether they are reloads or remanufactured ammo. Just an example, I have an IWI Masada Slim and it does not like Winchester white box 9mm 115gr. It eats up every other brand no problem.
I didn’t modify mine at all. @TNTactical the content creator I was collaborating with did modify his, and he hasn’t had a problem out of it so I don’t know where u got that from….🤷🏼♂️
PSA recommends you don't use a metal mag release with the micro mags and shield recommends you do with s15 mags. PSA could definitely use some better QC but that might be causing your mag issues
So basically you are reporting problems with aftermarket triggers, and aftermarket magazines. So their is a problem with the compatibility of aftermarket triggers, and aftermarket magazines not the firearm its self... Idk why you would want to run a Shield Arms mag that's more expensive then the stock mags when stock mags have the4 same round count... Seem like a hit piece then a actual issue.

One of my family members bought a new Glock 43-X . The trigger would not reset had to send it back to be repaired. Nothing new under the sun .
Thanks for showing. I have the compact dagger and just ran 300 rds today and its been perfect. Looks like more issues with the micro dagger
Yup
Recently bought a PSA dagger compact and it’s the first gun I’ve bought that came with 10-15rd mags 🤯 ended up buying 1 OEM Glock mag about 200 rounds done the barrel so far and runs just fine.
I also have not had any problems out of their ARs
Mine runs fine with my zen slide and also the psa slide
I have a PSA Dagger slide on my G19. Haven't had any problems other then a couple jams which I'm chalking that up to the slide, barrel etc all being brand new still, and not broken in yet.
I got my Micro frame back from PSA, they said that a break in period would help. They claimed tolerance stacking from the dagger frame coupled with the G43 slide, also the slide being Cerakoted was the problem. Neither my G43, PF9ss nor my SCT G43x frames had these problems.
Yup
Good seeing Mini Josh on the Channel, hope the Family is doing well and thriving buddy 🤘
Yesssir!! Thanks
The sleeve is used to basically make it a smoother area for the striker to slide. As far as the glock mag issue, I would be interested to is where the mag catch is on each mag. The PSA mag be designed to sit a little lower. Or your slide is too tight against the lower.
I agree.
I dont accept break in periods. My hellcat has run 5k rounds without one failure with every kind of ammo you can think of. Only other micro compact I trust is SW Shield Plus.
Pretty much all things mechanical have a break in period. Really no way around it.
Agreed
Pretty much sums up why I won’t buy any gun when it first comes out. Great video guys 👊🇺🇸
Yesssir
Good seeing you Jesse!
Thanks
Wow
I’m calling PSA customer service tomorrow to request a new barrel. Feed ramp on my brand new MDC-1 has deep horizontal scratches. QC seems to be slipping. I’m hoping PSA will make it right.
Oh wow
I have a micro dagger frame with a Glock 43 original slide and haven't had any issues.
Nice
Same with mine but I also did swap to an oem trigger and housing that came with my 48 slide, so far haven’t had any issues so far!
Agree 100% use OEM mags. Have a Glock 48 tried multiple Sheild and PSA mags and have got not one to work without feeding or jamming problems.
Thank you for educating me on the micro dagger WOW
You bet! Thanks for commenting
I have a Glock 43X MOS with a PSA comp slide on it so far no issues with the Glock mags . I thought you weren’t supposed to use the Shield arms mags until you changed out the polymer mag catch to a metal one?
I'm not making this comment to say you DONT do this. I'm making it as a PSA
When I got to my first duty station in the army, we had a Master Armorer who should have been a SGM 2 times over but for whatever reason chose to stay an SFC and stay in the armory, passion for gun, whatever. Try it out
No issues with the one I have! All stock no upgrades.
I didn’t have any upgrades in mine
Looks like it shoots good with PSA MAGAZINES. Also I know the Glock slim lines do not have the sleeves like the full size. Probably the same with PSA micros.
Yeah I found that out afterwards lol
video out there on doing after market trigger jobs, when they are just slightly out of alignment, trigger reset are a common issue, like trigger bar, shoe, etc.. if you keep factory items in, no issues, so when you install after market items, you will have to make adjustment with various part(s) whole trigger assembly, inluding the housing, etc. oh, there is also a video out there about mags, if you look closely at all 3, PSA fits best, more snugg in the mag well, where the others have some play, cause some of the hang ups. and yes that upper may be out of spec too
In my Micro D there was a metal burr in firing pin channel from the extractor cutout being drilled too deep and pushed the edge of burr into the channel. After bending sliver it popped off.
Wow
Yeah
Hey guys, I'm just trying to help. Had a similar issue on the compact series. I just pushed the slide stop level spring down, and it solved the problem.
Cool
Thanks for sharing
I really like my standard dagger build. But like all my guns i waited over a year, waited for demand to slow down and let them work the kinks out. Its been 100% ordered a complete lower and completely built the upper, only splurged on my "hackathorn" sights and an all steel recoil rod. Im gunna do the same with the micro. Hopeful they run a non optic cut line. A bit of a boomer i guess 😅
I have a few of the ar lowers, for the price they haven't exactly failed by any means but the fitment could definitely be better
Lol
It’s definitely better to wait
I had issues with mine out of the box, These pistols from what I have learned have to be broken in before they work.. mine didn't wanna go into battery and had feeding issues, to fix the issue all I did was literally sit and rack the slide over and over and over for an hour.
Nice
I have the same micro c-1 and it’s so hard to rack the slide , I have kept the slide locked back for 24 hours and I have sat here and racked it so many times and it is still rough to rack like something is holding it back
So, when you are shooting your Dagger Compact what magazines are you using ?
When you buy a new firearm that has never been fired, it often has problems. Pretty much every pistol I have purchased has some kind of problem the first 100-200 rounds. Once you break it in a clean it good you will be good to go. Patience.
Not true for me.
I love my dagger tbh sure it’s not perfect but with a little adjustment and some parts swapping they can be reliable the main issue is there trigger system the cruciform on the trigger usually needs adjustment and after that there normally solid your problem was 100 Pepe cent the cruciform
And yes I own Glock too lol

And it was tactical pantoon who's video i saw
Also it seems to eject rounds pretty hard
You shouldn’t have to do that is my point
I’d take some measurements and compare dagger to 43x.
Good thinking
My Glock 19x would stove pipe every 2-4 rounds ended up buying a new barrel and fixed my issue my dagger did the same as yours but the fix was free Glock was no help psa told me my issue right away and offered to send the part free
They do offer help, but my point would be they shouldn’t have to. It should just work.
Bought one a few weeks back and have put 200+ rounds through it with no issues. I’ll update this if something happens
I like the price and made in USA. But it has to work with their mags. If not it’s a no go. I got my 43x when they came out the silver slide so far no problems but if I didn’t have the Glock the PSA would be tempting.
Yup
The 43 has no channel liner.. so that has nothing to do with the dead trigger anyways. You need to pull the trigger housing out of the frame and adjust the connector then problem solved
If that’s the issue and they now that’s the issue why are they letting that issue leave their warehouse
I've got 3 daggers and it has taken alot of parts changing to make them right.in the end I wish I would have just bought a glock
Wow
So what youre sayin is never betray the Hi Point nation for PSA
Hahahhahah yeah
Thanks man!!! I agree I love S&W also

Your disconnector was the problem with the trigger resetting as psa commented just like I did, a very common problem with striker guns oem glocks incuded
Every gun company is chasing Glock's reliability and reputation...just buy a Glock. They work.

This is kind of a dumb comment tho. Of course every gun company wants to have the most reliable product I mean thats a given. Thats like saying every car company is chasing having a reliable car 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

The PSA mags have a shorter follower. You can see it if you compare them to OEM mags.
Yes they do
😂43 doesn't have a channel liner either. Forgot to mention they got past the patents b/c they shrunk down the gen 3 glock 19/17 geometry.
Ok cool
i tried to put an oem glock trigger assembly in the micro dagger and got a dead trigger. but put the psa trigger back in and ran flawlessly.
I agree
Well seems like they run well on manufacture partsr my stock one goes bang reliably💯
That’s awesome
6000 rounds no failures with my glock 48 and shield arms.
Exactly lol
Thats bullshit
Off.
You aren’t supposed to use the shield arms s15 mags unless you have their mag release because it’s also metal… the oem glock mags and PSA micro mags both have polymer where the mag catch hits the mag, so with your polymer mag catch it’s plastic on plastic and fine… with the s15 mags, the more you run those metal mags through it, the more those metal mags will chew away at the plastic mag catch and start causing problems, even after you start putting other mags in because your mag catch is starting to slightly change where it isn’t holding the magazines in quite the same as it did… which will start causing issues like you’re having…
Either replace your mag catch and only use the metal s15 mags
Or replace with new oem plastic mag catch and only use plastic Glock or PSA mags.
Try that and let me know if you have issues again.
where do i get the camo wu wear?
Woobies . Com or something lol I’ll have to ask him
I wouldn't blame PSA for aftermarket parts not functioning properly.
What camera are you using to film?
Sony A73

They commented on here. I pinned it at the top I can’t remember exactly
Have yall thought about the possibility that maybe some guns just don't like certain ammo? In all my guns, I am aware of what runs better than others.
Sure. This was just regular 115 gr brass. Nothing crazy, but that is always a possibility
@@BlackDiamondgunsandgear I'm thinking more along the lines of manufacturer and whether they are reloads or remanufactured ammo. Just an example, I have an IWI Masada Slim and it does not like Winchester white box 9mm 115gr. It eats up every other brand no problem.
So basically it runs fine stock. If you modify it it won't work? Don't modify it maybe?
I didn’t modify mine at all. @TNTactical the content creator I was collaborating with did modify his, and he hasn’t had a problem out of it so I don’t know where u got that from….🤷🏼♂️
So looks like most uour issues are your items that are not factory items other than the striker
