The proliferation and awareness of cool watches is great for enthusiasts as is the drop off of investors.

Like the talk about the industry and feel the same. I would love an Explorer 1 in 36mm because it’s iconic for me, but won’t play games at the AD. Especially since micro brands like Traska or Clemence are offering similar style with their own twists for fractions of the price.
One day I will still get an Explorer, but micros are keeping everything fun, and for me that is pretty awesome!

Thanks for sharing and I'll be catching you on the next one.

Yeah nicely articulated mate. I’m so onboard the TAG Heuer chrono train atm. If they keep bringing back the Heuer back catalogue then they’ll be on a great thing, Anson dare I say, competing with the big boys again.

    Great review Zach
Re SBGW277: you’ve had the watch for a while. Still happy with it? If so, what keeps you going back to it and putting it in the wrist? Thanks and keep up the great work. Cheers.

I still adore the SBGW277. It's a great balance of what fine watchmaking is. It mixes incredible finishing and a reserved but elegant aesthetic with a movement to match. The size is perfect on my wrist, and the color/texture of the dial never gets old. Also, more and more I find myself drawn to the idea of simple movements, well-executed. So, the 9S64 being a three-hand, no date, manual wound movement that is made, finished, and regualted to a very high level seals the deal. It's watchmaking for the love of watchmaking.

Not even the real name of the brand isn't a real world and it shows what a bad idea naming it such was, seeing an otherwise good speaker from the US struggle.

Tag is grasping for straws and those who don't sell the watch aren't so shining in their review.
