Least we can be reassured that Sonic Movie 3 will be just fine. Same writers and same director. Though looking at the new additional cast, it seems ALL of them will be playing *human* characters... *Uh-oh...*
I think they might go with a different tone for the third movie. After all, it's taking inspiration from SA2’s storyline, one of the darkest storylines in the Sonic Game franchise. Plus, this movie has been very hush-hush about its details, and given that one of the writers said that they aren't going to make Shadow into like a Lego Batman parody because one of the writers did work on the Lego Batman movie, plus the director has experience on working with Shadow’s origin since he worked on the cinematic scenes for the Shadow solo game from 2005. Also, the creator who created the character Shadow has been working with the people working on the film to have Shadow be who he's supposed to be and hopefully not be like the edge lord he's been made out to be for years. Plus, a couple of the new characters will be playing Maria, so any of you Sonic fans know what happens to her, so be prepared for that scene. Plus, Kristen Ritter in the movie plays someone named Captain Rockwell, assuming she's someone from GUN, and you don't waste a good actor just playing a silly role when they have a lot of experience playing a lot of serious roles. I'm very excited about this movie. I don't have low expectations for this, but I'm keeping them in the middle ground until I see the trailer or the movie
I thought the Knuckles series was pretty amazing. It's a nice continuation of Sonic 2 before Sonic 3 comes out later this year. Although many complained how Wade Whipple has more screen time than Knuckles, even though the later is the main character of his own show. But they don't understand that the miniseries balanced the two characters. Knuckles help Wade becomes a warrior in his own way while Wade help Knuckles in saying that Earth is his home.
If that was all the show was about it would be fine. But wade wasn’t the problem. His family, bowling and cringey jokes at the expense of the lore were the problem for me.
I just finished watching the Knuckles Series and honestly it would have been better as a Movie but I Enjoyed it for the Most Part, sure Wade was the Main Focus but I knew that it would have been expensive to make a CGI Character the Main Focus in a Series but I have Fun, I will admit that in the Future of this Cinematic Universe there how to limit the Human Cast and focus on the Real Stars but because this is a Start I give it a Pass for Now and who knows maybe putting humor is to balance out the Sonic 3 Movie to be Serious, I have to say that this show isn’t the worst thing to ever happen to the Sonic Franchise, that would be Forces, and I will admit that one thing I will admit with Everyone is Wanda(although that Finger Scene made me Laugh so Hard like in Episode 2 Knuckles imagining to do a MK2 Jax Fatality), I enjoy the Series that it’s a 7 out of 10, the only way this Knuckles Project would have worked was if it was a Movie or a Animated Series with Angel Island, Rouge, and the Chaotix but I had Fun and I loved the References from past Game like Tails Bed being Purple like the Tornado 2, the Beginning being a Homage to the Games, Shadow being hinted at a Event of 1974, The Buyer maybe being connected to either Ivo or Gerald, the Rogue Agents interesting Motivations to Neutralize the Morbians as Humanity Fears what they don’t understand, Knuckles getting his Hat and Love for Music, and that Musical being Fun to watch with 2 amazing references to 06 with Iblis and the Flames of Disaster, 7 out of 10.
As someone who really enjoyed watching the show for what it was, to the point where I actually prefer this show over Sonic Prime, believe it or not, it makes me sad seeing all the negativity towards it. But I do understand where those criticisms come from. The lows do get really low. I absolutely despise Wanda, I see no point to her existence other than to make you sympathise more with Wade. Ultimately, I wish the lore drops in episode 4 weren't presented in the form of a low budget rock opera, and I wish The Buyer had more of a presence as the 'villain' of the show. But despite that, I can't hate this show. I had fun watching the show, and that's ultimately what I care most about.
That’s probably the point of the show, it’s just meant to be more fun, comedic, and easier for kids to understand. They’re the next generation of fans after all, and sure I’d have loved to see more Knuckles being himself, but when it’s good, it’s really good.
The way I see it, Wade is Knuckles' home. And I hope to see the red echidna move into the deputy's home in the near future. Aside from Sonic, Wade is the only other person Knuckles has built a bond with in this cinematic universe. Neither of these two ever gave up on the other and they always had the other's back when it mattered most. "Warrior or not, I'm strong enough to know you never betray a friend." Wow, Pachacamac really chilled out after becoming a ghost. TBH, Wanda's face already looks like she's been punched by a lot of people. I wonder why... Seriously, out of all the reoccurring characters in this mini-series, she sucked. Even her father Pistol Pete was comically bad. Wanda was just cringe and toxic towards her brother. Aside from Wade, the only likeable member of the family was the mother Wendy. A low budget rock opera is as much respect as Sonic '06 deserves. I know people *hated* this specific episode and say it's the worst one. But honestly, I *loved* it and couldn't stop smiling. This series doesn't take it self seriously. And neither did I. You know what? 2D animations for flashbacks would be great for a potential second season. But to make the perfect Knuckles series, you need to have a higher budget. Add in Rouge the Bat as Knuckles' rival/love interest. That's all I'd need actually.
This might be just me, but am I the only one who noticed how Wade's parents have a massive age gap? No seriously, I legit looked up Cary Elwes is 61 and Stockard Channing is 80...
Overall for me, the series was fine. Something I could enjoy, but not something I'd probably rewatch any time soon. I think a fully animated but less graphically impressive series might have been better. There are two things that I like that they may have set up for future films. Because the series has different people working on it, I can't really tell how whether these things were informed by the movie team or not. The first is I wondered what they would do about G.U.N. in Shadow's backstory. This series explaining they've actually been around for a while and are just trying to distance themselves from Dr. Eggman could lead to new interesting plots in the 3rd film. The other is possibly setting up a loose Sonic 06 film. While how they showed it probably wasn't the best, I could imagine that (similar to MCU films like Civil War and No Way Home) it wouldn't be a one to one reenactment of 06, but a new story that is heavily inspired by it. Would Silver blame Knuckles for releasing Iblis? Will Sonic be more important since Eggman may not be in it (I find it highly unlikely Jim Carrey is going to come back for a fourth film, even if he loves playing Eggman). Could they add some Sonic Adventure plot points by connecting Iblis to the Echidnas?
Yeah pretty much the show was good as a generic comedy with knuckles as a guest but not as a knuckles show about knuckles. I suppose on the brightside he at least got a show. We don't even know if amy is gonna be in movie 3. If they even do introduce her at some point im also nervous theyre gonna mess up her character badly as well. At least in the Knuckles show his character felt good to me just we needed more of him
@AceCardGaming Kid Cudi was ironically one of the best parts. Knowing he sang the song Star in the Star from Movie 2 was really cool too. You can tell he had so much fun on set.
"Knuckles is wearing the OVA hat! The fans will love this!" When seeing how Movie Sonic responds to Knuckles being grounded, insisting its pretty great, all I can see in my head is Maddie "thats it! You are grounded, young man!" Movie Sonic "awww yea! This is happening!" Yea, somehow I doubt, free as the wind Sonic would take too well that. Need I remind you how he responded to being stuck on a ship, in Sonic X? I can't help but think with Wade's police "training," they just stole that from Hot Fuzz!
@@AceCardGaminghaha 😂 yeah I agree with every word you said so much wasted potential this show could of been but hopefully Paramount learns from this speed bump.
While I loved Sonic 1, there were aspects of Sonic 2 I didn't care for--notably the over-emphasis on human characters and the dance scene clearly geared for kids. With that in mind, I lowered my expectations for Knuckles. While episode 1 and 2 met those expectations--and I did enjoy them--episode 3 was awful and if not for it being a Sonic media, I would have checked out right there. The actions scenes were great, but it seemed that certain scenes (non-action) weren't scripted and the actors had to ad-lib for time, and it became uncomfortable to watch during extended scenes when Knuckles wasn't present (and I mean no disrespect to Wade/Adam--I've always liked his character in the movies). The humor was hit or miss. Some scenes made me laugh out loud (I actually liked the ESPN people) while others made me cringe. Bonus points for the intro scene and song though.
I mean the show isn't bad...but I totally agree that four would of been fine. In fact, why didn't they do a 2d animated style during Knuckle's story? would of been better than a staged play...not to mention would of make Iblis even more amazing. (though you gotta admit the song sounds so catchy) Despite that though I think we are overreacting on it being bad. It has some moments that I find myself enjoying it. Could it have been better if it didn't do what it did to the show like focus on Knuckles and Wade's dynamic instead random shenanigans with say Wade's sister being a jerk or the bowling championship? yes. Was it the worst show ever? No, not by a long shot.
Upon watching it again after buying the blu-ray, it's a lot better than I remembered. Granted my issues are shared with everyone else: lack of Knuckles over Wade, some jokes not landing and lack of development for the villains. But firstly, Wade was already a good character, and he wasn't used to put down or belittle Knuckles like so many other streaming shows do to their titular characters (Loki, Picard, Boba Fett, Obi-Wan, Mando, Moon Knight, Nick Fury), and both characters had great chemistry. Secondly, there were several jokes that flew by me the first time that I really got a laugh out of on this viewing. And thirdly, yes the villains were very mishandled, particularly The Buyer, but both Mason and Willoughby were fun to watch and play off each other. Kid Cudi and Ellie Taylor was clearly having a blast. Given the likely minimal budget they had, the CGI and fight scenes were still fantastic. I think this is a mirror to the first movie; in that because it was the first streaming show for this series, it had to start small and a little basic to see if it would work (walk before it could run). Given that it was a massive success, I'm confident they'll give a hypothetical second streaming series (like one for Shadow) far more budget to go bigger. Knuckles isn’t bad. It's just fine. After being lead along and ripped off by Sonic Prime, this was just what I needed.
I finally watched this through some nickelodeon recordings...pretty much skipping scenes that had nothing to do with Knuckles. This was bad show. I hated almost ever character, The GUN agents were cringe, and Wade's sister is a psychopath...like holy @#$%. Maybe I would of liked the main villain, if he did more, I seriously didn't even know what to call him. I struggle to even understand the point of Knuckles role in the story. The whole finding home thing is fine, but why does Pachamc want this one specific dullard to carry his peoples legacy?
The whole of episode 3 is absolutely terrible and I’ve not actually watched another episode after it because it turned me off that much… it was actually the least funny thing I’ve ever watched, painful.
Even though the Knuckles show looks like garbage and I'm probably not going to watch it (even for free online), I still think of 2024 as being the Year of Knuckles instead of the Year of Shadow. I support the homie Knuckles more than Shadow and I think that Knuckles deserves better than what he's gotten for many years now. Knuckles is the OG Sonic rival. Fuck Shadow. Shadow was only good in Sonic Adventure 2 and should have stayed dead after the end of Sonic Adventure 2. Post-SA2 Shadow is Discount Vegeta and nothing more. I ride with Knuckles.

Erm. I literally said the buyer worked for GUN when it was run under a shadow op by Robotnik. You think me saying Ivo would have made that statement any better?
I liked the show for what it is. I get why some people dislike it, but I think this min series gets too much hate. I mean it felt a little out of place when compared to the other two movies, but I found it funny as some goofy buddy cop thing with cartoonish antics.
@@AceCardGaming I feel like a lot of people needlessly hate on Wanda. Sure she's rude and mean and I can understand why people don't like her. But then she said "You always pick his side". That's when I realized that she was also affected by their father leaving them, and after that she started to feel neglected. When they don't get the attention that they should get, children can start acting out in order to get that attention, even if it's bad attention. We're shown that this is what Wanda has been doing since she was a child, mostly by being awful to Wade, who she probably resents for getting all the attention that she didn't get. That doesn't justify her actions, but her feelings are valid. And even nowadays, she's overcompensating with her job at the FBI, trying to show her mother that she's worth the attention that she didn't give her. Though looking at the new additional cast, it seems ALL of them will be playing *human* characters...
*Uh-oh...*
*Oh no.*
THE FLAMES OR DISASTER ⁉️⁉️⁉️🔥🔥🔥🔥😨😨😨
Fantastic analysis as usual! Definitely a disappointment overall, but at least the Knuckles part of the Knuckles show was good.
THE FLAMES OF DISASTER
I liked the knuckles tv show even if there was more time with wade so I hope there'll be a second season acecardgaming! 👊🔥❤👍
I liked the show but it absolutely 100% could've been better. I probably will never rewatch it, but I didn't regret the 3~ hours I spent watching it.
"Warrior or not, I'm strong enough to know you never betray a friend."
Wow, Pachacamac really chilled out after becoming a ghost.
Oh. My. Gosh... 💀💀💀
Had a friend whose parents had a 20 year age gap. Not as uncommon as you think.
@@AceCardGaming Ah, okay. But still though. Wade's father pulled an Aaron Taylor-Johnson move.
Knuckles was done dirty. I never want to see another spin off for this franchise I don’t trust anyone except Jeff Fowler.
Yup, Knuckles was done really dirty. But what to do,some of the series made today are good or bad.As for Knuckles,it was ok.
@@rossini187 I guess so, nothing matches the travesty of the halo show

@@IsaacCantwell What target audience? Their fan club?
@@nman551 no paramount does think of a 'fan club' when they are making series 💀
At least in the Knuckles show his character felt good to me just we needed more of him
The female GUN agent should have ended up being Rouge, the show seemed to be setting her up to be
Or maybe is rouge girl from sonic x.
DONT LOOK AT MEEE
I didn't like it I came for knuckles not wade
Kid Coodie 😂😂😂😂
Legit have only ever seen it written! I was way off huh? 🤣
@AceCardGaming
Kid Cudi was ironically one of the best parts. Knowing he sang the song Star in the Star from Movie 2 was really cool too. You can tell he had so much fun on set.

When seeing how Movie Sonic responds to Knuckles being grounded, insisting its pretty great, all I can see in my head is
Maddie "thats it! You are grounded, young man!"
Movie Sonic "awww yea! This is happening!"
Yea, somehow I doubt, free as the wind Sonic would take too well that. Need I remind you how he responded to being stuck on a ship, in Sonic X?
I can't help but think with Wade's police "training," they just stole that from Hot Fuzz!
o love the way you pronounce kid cudi
Yep, I’ve been told I got it wrong. 😅
**Sigh** they are pulling shit out of their ass by using Sonic lore randomly to fit their vision.
Episode 4 has the worst product placement that I’ve ever seen
Should I brace myself for this one? 😰😰😰
When you think you’ve braced enough, keep bracing! 😅
I hate Wade. It has no reason to exist. And they give it too much importance.
I mean the show isn't bad...but I totally agree that four would of been fine.
In fact, why didn't they do a 2d animated style during Knuckle's story? would of been better than a staged play...not to mention would of make Iblis even more amazing. (though you gotta admit the song sounds so catchy)
Despite that though I think we are overreacting on it being bad.
“Flames or Disaster”… Flames easy answer 🔥🔥🔥
Some disasters involve flames I guess! 😅
I'm gonna have to say disaster.
Alright to each his own 😶🌫️
This show was a flame of disaster alright.
I mean I like the show and family relations with Knuckles - was adorable
I loved everything about this show
The whole of episode 3 is absolutely terrible and I’ve not actually watched another episode after it because it turned me off that much… it was actually the least funny thing I’ve ever watched, painful.

But even if she wasn't doing the best job, I don't blame Wade's mother either, as she was also affected by her husband leaving and struggled a lot financially and emotionally.
@@Oceane1803 From what was shown on screen, Wade’s mother was just as tough on him and I don’t know what you consider to be “acting out”, but stabbing someone in the arm with a fork ain’t it. That’s a psycho! For me she had no redeeming qualities and I wasn’t about to excuse her behaviour when wade had just as tough an upbringing and he’s a nice guy.
@@Oceane1803Sorry,but for me,Wanda was just a really bad character for me,I was literally like:"Please stop!". However if you like her, then Ok.Not gonna stop you.
@@AceCardGaming I did say it didn't justify her actions. But yes, I do believe it is acting out. She's desperately looking for attention that well... at least she feels like she didn't get.
I don't think we have enough info to be sure. And I mean as I said it is bad attention, but planting a fork in someone's arm is sure to make her the center of attention.
Can't even begin to imagine how Sonic fans have such low standards to say this show is good, decent i guess would be fine but man it's clear Sonic fans will watch anything and consume anything Sonic related and think it's a grace of the franchise even with it's poor quality.
