Tina S has four pieces you absolutely have to watch : moonlight sonata, this dragon force cover, Jason Becker‘s Altitudes and her masterpiece, her cover of Steve Vai’s for the love of god. So, two more to go!
"For The Love Of God" Steve Vai cover is an ABSOLUTE MASTERPIECE... I think it's one of her favorites also... Can't wait for your reaction on this one 🤘
I saw Tina for the first time on her channel when she was 14. I was emotionally stricken by her crazy skills. Technically she's the best guitarist i've ever heard and seen.
Many people say Tina is a robot or a machine. These people have never heard her cover of Steve Vai's "For the Love of God". Every time I hear it, tears come to my eyes. So much emotion.
This is the first time I'm watching one of your reactions. I have no idea who Tina s is either and I'm 58 years old and have listened to rock my whole life and I play music
What's wrong with you Allen?!? 😉 Lots of great music out there to find for us all - new and old. It'd make reactions pretty dull if we had all heard everything, wouldn't it? 😊

I love all her covers and the way she puts her own stamp on what she plays. All her covers are a masterclass but my personal favorite is The Loner. So much emotion put into the song (you can't play Gary Moore correctly unless it drips with emotion). Her bends and vibrato are top class. Also, give the solo from Dream Theater a listen. This song really helped her to master cross-picking and the co-ordination between the left and right hand. She is my favorite guitarist because of her musical choices- Classical, Rock, Blues, Progressive, and Finger-Style. What is there left to say about this girl? Only this, She received her first E-guitar at 13 and, over the next 5 years, she began to slay the best guitarists out there. I think she has the talent to tackle a couple of hot Jazz tunes just to round-out her skills!
she was 15 years old here doing this playing at this level... it is really a mind blowing performance and puts to rest any doubt that she is a true prodigy. just incase anyone think this is not that hard Tap or move your fingers this fast for the same amount of time she plays and see how your fingers and arms feel..
Ok, I am already out of breath....can't help but just laugh watching this, so freaking incredible...my brain cannot keep up with the speed of this... Herman Li guitarist for Dragon Force featured this on his YT channel and just shook his head and invited Tina to come play...she never answered him I do not believe.
Hi Melvin, This is the insane guitar picking also known as shredding by Tina s (amazing speed, brilliant legato, great sound, killer picking, huge vibrato, precise string bending, lightning whammy bar, total guitar mastery, clever arrangements, calm and focus while chewing gum) plus years of studying classical guitar turned Tina, her real name Tina Setkic, a 15 years old girl from France into a worldwide guitar legend.
The solo of the song lasts 2 min 4 s. This song features in the video game Guitar Hero III : Legends of Rock : it is considered one of the longest and most difficult songs to play due to the large number of notes (3,722 notes) and its high speed .
I never really understood why people would dedicate hours and days of their lives mastering a computer game when they could just try and learn to play an actual guitar instead? I'm old-school, I guess 😁
Tina may look like a robot (I think she's just chillin'), but notice that, unlike many shredders, she really rocks the whole time - her rhythmic sense is as strong at full speed as when playing slow. She brings her own style and ornamentations to her covers instead of slavishly following note-for-note.
I know a lot of us (myself included) make light hearted fun at her and say she is robotic and too relaxed, but as a guitar player that TOTALLY works in her favour. The more you can prevent yourself from tensing up, the quicker you will play and the risk of incurring repetitive strain disorders, tendonitis etc. are heavily reduced.
You must do For the love of God. Tina is an absolutely amazing talent...I love her to bits. She disappeared from social media for several years and there was a load of shit conspiracy theories by total dickheads posted on her social media about her, but all us real fans knew she would come back. I must admit, I was surprised the direction she took, being a classic rock and metal fan, but good look to her ❤ All you rock/metal fans must admit that you hoped she went down THAT route...you all know know that she'd totally nail it!! 🤘🤘
I blows my mind how some people just can’t help themselves. with their negativity and maligned comments. Bunch of inadequate muppets IMO! Just keep on reacting to the extraordinary talent that you will keep finding on you tube. It’s great entertainment following your reaction as you go down their rabbit holes!
Thanks Tony! 😁 There's so much great stuff out there, not just Tina S, so it's impossible to hear and react to it all. But I'm certainly having fun trying and it's great having people join me for the ride!
Well, my take is a bit different than the first sourpuss you read during your intro. I LOVE watching people see her for the first, especially guitarists. I’m still amazed by her gift. But it’s not the same as a first time viewing of her. Realizing HOW talented she is is such an awakening! That being said, welcome aboard - you’re gonna love this ride. The guitar coaches love to talk about her technical expertise on Steve Vai’s ‘For the love of God’, but they’re all incredible. Enjoy! * Oh, and she’s chewing gum and not looking while doing this*
Well, then it's good people like yourself, Dean, like watching other guitarists like me, albeit not anywhere NEAR her level, watch and experience her talent 😁 It's also strange, because although this was my second Tina experience, I probably found this second time even more mind blowing vs the first. That is some of the best praise I can give!
@ Not yet! Watch a super technical piece for an even more rounded opinion. Her Steve Vai - For the Love of God - really illustrates how ideal her technique is. Many people used to say they thought she didn’t ever show any emotion while she played, but I disagree. No, she doesn’t flit around the stage, doing the splits and gyrating, she emotes through incredibly disciplined play. This song isn’t about her showing her super speed, it’s very technical and she does get a little more immersed than we normally see her. It’s obvious that she really likes this song, and plays it like she was playing for Steve Vai (and his approval) which she was. He gave it the day after she posted it, which is high praise indeed. He even re-posted it and simply said “Enjoy” to his fans. I am glad to hear that you aren’t breaking your guitars and throwing into the river so you can pursue your career as a chef.
As others have stated, to me her covers of For the Love of God, Altitudes, and The Loner are her best work. They require just as much technical skill but also require feel and emotion and she is fantastic on all 3. It always amazes me how she rarely looks at her fretboard. I was a trumpet player and understand memorization and muscle memory but not like this. She shreds the entire length of the neck without looking. One finger out of place and she has to start over. Just amazing.
100% agree. It's simply effortless and I can't even fathom how much time and effort she must have put in to play this well. But it's definitely paid off, that's for sure!
@@melvinthinks Not as much time as you might think. While she was learning to slay million of guitarists, she was going to high (secondary) school and maintaining an 'A' average. She quit posting on YT for 5 years while she attended University. This girl is unique and very special!

you're just missing watching her cover of Altitudes and For the Love God from the "must watch" list. after you can watch the rest at your own leisure. lol
I hate it when people put you down just because you've only just discovered something amazing. For me it was roughly 4 years ago for Tina S. ( So I was late to the party too but who cares.) And yet her 1st video (when I think she was 13) playing Eruption is a "close your eyes & see if you can tell the difference to Eddie's original." I like to imagine that she met a new boyfriend who took her home & said "Do you want me to teach you how to play?" She gives him 10 minutes, then he faints when he hears her. She did disappear for about 5 years with some saying she'd died which was just a terrible thing to say. She has a new band & boy does she look different. And she plays at about 20% of her capability with this band. Someone here may remember the name of her new band, sorry but I've forgotten. It's kind of radio friendly & would appeal to a wider audience. And I believe she has a 4 song E.P. on sale already. I believe she could play for any band as lead or rhythm guitarist, she's just got natiural amazing ability. So ignore trolls, they are the ones who look stupid. And enjoy Tina.
Great reaction. Her demeanour reminds me a bit of Miyako from Lovebites! Drum covers would be good. Junna would be a great start, either this song or Lux AEterna by Metallica. Sina drums has a massive catalogue of covers (plus three albums of original music) and she really shows how individual drummers performed. Also Kalonika Nicx and MistakesHaveBeenMade are good. All women, but I find that, with a few exceptions, the guys who do drum covers follow a pattern. They start out a bit rubbish, then as soon as they get a few compliments they feel the need to quadruple the size of their kit and start “putting their own stamp” on the production!!!
@ Seriously, look at Junna doing Lux AEterna, Sina Drums has done several from when she was around 14 years old to fairly recently. Probably not something to do reactions to, but worth a look for yourself. People may mock Lars for his lack of talent (including himself and rest of the band) but he’s still there and it hasn’t exactly left him a pauper!!!
So right Ronnie, it's my favourite by Tina. I think it was used as the title music to the UK series "The Hammer House of Horror." But it just sounds beautiful.
"I want you write this comment again when I release the Tina S video 😁" OK, here it is. We stand by our opinions. 😜 "By the way, her [Ayu Gusfanz] cover as a 13 year old is on the same level as the Tina S version." And while we're at it, we'd like to renew our suggestion of Ayu's Canon Rock Cover. So that you can watch Ayu's development, please first watch the cute version when she was 10 years old and not the later perfect version.
I would like to suggest a drum cover. I know that's not really your thing, but this is no ordinary drummer. Her name is Junna, she's a Japanese drummer who posts covers, similar to what Tina does, and even covered this same song. Unfortunately they use different version because it would be great to see them side-by-side. In any case I'd actually like to suggest her cover of Painkiller by Judas Priest. I don't want to spoil anything but she has to be the most entertaining drummer on Earth and her talent is beyond reproach. Also, she looks really young, but is in her 20's.
I don't mind drum covers. It's something I've been thinking about doing a bit more of on the channel tbh when I get the opportunity. So thanks for the rec! 👍 I like instrumental playthroughs, like stuff from Jinjer, where they isolate certain instruments. And I love watching the Drumeo vids too.
Oh my God.. That Michael guy desperately needs anger management courses... wth?.. And don't worry Melvin, I've never heard of her before either, so together we'll lead the "TWITT" GANG PROUDLY... 😉 ♥ 🙏
@@melvinthinks i played guitar for 15 years, then i watched Tina many years ago and gave my guitar to my older kid, he is enjoying the gretch immensely so it was worth it, it is just impossible for me to reach such levels when you are 52 like me now..
I don't think it's ever too late. If you are trying to reach elite levels then of course time can work against you, but if you just want to learn and have fun, I think playing an instrument is one of the most meditative and therapeutic things there is. I'll never be Tina S, but I can be Melvin T 😃
Her cover of Steve Vai “for the love of God” is even better. Not so much shred, more melodic and all about tone, sustain, bending and whammy bar technique. Mesmerising ! You’re welcome
Her technique is remarkable and overall her style is (used to be) amazing! But honestly I never understood what is it about this song that people find it so good... 🤷🏻♂
@@melvinthinks Oh yeah, she's great! In fact, the previous video (Moonlight Sonata) you reacted to, she was doing someone else's arrangement (Dr. Viossy or such), but her perfomance of it was significantly better in my opinion.
I preferred this because she showcases more variety in her playing. But then a lot of others are saying "For The Love Of God" is her standout performance. I guess I'll find out 😃
Not to take anything away from Tina, but there are some telltale signs that this wasn't all done in a single performance. The "take 1" thing was probably a bit ironic. Still absolutely feckin' amazing though.
When this was originally posted, her teacher, Renaud Louis-Servais, said it took multiple takes because of the different camera angles and that he wasn't great on the editing because it was his first time, If I remember correct he said it was 4 takes but that might be off.
Would like to remind that she has probably practiced this song for at least a couple of months for hours on end before filming this video so saying that she "doesnt give a shit" is somewhat diminishing her skill as a guitarist. She makes it seem effortless because of her natural talent and motivation to practice the song for hours on end.
HOW DARE YOU CALL YOURSELF A REACTOR WHEN YOU HAVEN'T HEARD WHAT YOU ARE REACTING TO!?!? IM SUPPOSED TO TAKE YOUR FIRST TIME REACTION SERIOUSLY WHEN YOU HAVE T SEEN THE BILLIONS OF VIDEOS ON UA-cam?!?!?! Sorry had to 😂😂😂 what a putts 😂 She is freaking top notch! 🤩 Like idk even know to react to this but just say damn. It's talent like this that puts me between a rock and a hard place. Should I try and get better at playing an instrument or should I just burn them because what's the point 😂
LMFAO! 🤣😂😂 I forgot I mentioned this at the start of the video!!! She is bloody good though, isn't she? I just love how she is so effortless and natural. I think I'd pass out trying to play her stuff or get tendonitis. Even at half or "stepdad speed" as Mr Ben Eller would say.
@melvinthinks Yeah some people are just crazy talented and make everything seem effortless. I know a lot of work goes into getting that good but sheesh. Tremendous talent! 👏
While she is good she isn't the best. Until recently everything she put has been a cover with no original works of her own and the new material that she has put out has been lacking in my opinion. Ayu Gusfanz on the other hand has a catalog of music she has composed herself and at a much younger age.
Tina is a 15 year old schoolgirl !! It's not her job, she wants to be an engineer ! Don't ask her to compose, she plays for fun, not to put on a show, look at her black studio !!!

Cheers Graeme. New band is Spin Twice, although I haven't heard them yet, as am still on the Tina S solo journey of discovery 😁
If she had to look she wouldn't be a prodigy, she is actually Pitch Perfect.
I'd forgive her if she did. Especially as she is playing 1000's of notes! 😁
Nearly forgot, Murata Tamu, the drummer from Nemophila, has her own channel.
I'd love to one day see a proper drummer play a Metallica song 😉
@ Seriously, look at Junna doing Lux AEterna, Sina Drums has done several from when she was around 14 years old to fairly recently. Probably not something to do reactions to, but worth a look for yourself.
People may mock Lars for his lack of talent (including himself and rest of the band) but he’s still there and it hasn’t exactly left him a pauper!!!
Yeah, he's done alright out of it hasn't he 😂
I love all of her work but make sure you do not skip the slower based Gary Moore cover of The Loner, still my favourite of her covers to date!
A Gary Moore cover will be great to hear!
Hahahaha! You've both got a much better memory than me 😂 I will certainly add Ayu to my Excel reaction to do list for you 😘
Definitely do Steve Vai's for the love of God
It's on my list 👍
You should check out Miu Miu Guitar girl doing Dream Theatre for her 9th Birthday.
Yet another child guitar prodigy 🙏👌😁
I agree, I don't believe her performance can be topped.
Unless she does it whilst smiling 😬
She has a new band, Spin Twice
I've heard mixed reviews from viewers. But I'll make my one judgement one day.
Oh my God..
That Michael guy desperately needs anger management courses... wth?..
And don't worry Melvin, I've never heard of her before either, so together we'll lead the "TWITT" GANG PROUDLY... 😉
♥ 🙏
I don't actually know anyone that "has completed the internet" do you? 🤣😀
If you want to hear her do everything +++ react to for the love of god
Next on my list, mate 😁
ignore idiots online ; ) great reaction
Hahahaha! Thanks mate. Can't let "keyboard warriors" have all the fun. I can bite back 😬
@@melvinthinks i played guitar for 15 years, then i watched Tina many years ago and gave my guitar to my older kid, he is enjoying the gretch immensely so it was worth it, it is just impossible for me to reach such levels when you are 52 like me now..
Video is coming out tomorrow, Johnny 😁
Her technique is remarkable and overall her style is (used to be) amazing!
But honestly I never understood what is it about this song that people find it so good... 🤷🏻♂
I personally am not a huge fan of power metal/DragonForce, but I'd happily watch Tina play anything from this genre in isolation!
I guess I'll find out 😃
@@melvinthinks you don't have to pick and choose... both? both!
Not to take anything away from Tina, but there are some telltale signs that this wasn't all done in a single performance. The "take 1" thing was probably a bit ironic. Still absolutely feckin' amazing though.
I still couldn't't play this even if I did one note at a time and someone edited it all together! lol
I mean that it looks like she doesn't give a shit 😁 Of course she does. No one that good doesn't pour blood, sweat and tears into their craft.
she is just chewing gum and havin fun
Can you imagine how good she'd be if she took guitar seriously 😁😆😉
HOW DARE YOU CALL YOURSELF A REACTOR WHEN YOU HAVEN'T HEARD WHAT YOU ARE REACTING TO!?!? IM SUPPOSED TO TAKE YOUR FIRST TIME REACTION SERIOUSLY WHEN YOU HAVE T SEEN THE BILLIONS OF VIDEOS ON UA-cam?!?!?!
Sorry had to 😂😂😂 what a putts 😂
She is freaking top notch!
Hell. To. The. Fuck. Yeah.
Do for the love of god by Steve Vai. When people say she in a robot it is wrong.
It's a joke. Robots would never be able to play as well as Tina 😉
She looking at tabs on a screen and play that to perfection but tabs are not 100 so Herman comments on that......
I don't think that really matters tbh. Can't deny her skill and technique.
While she is good she isn't the best. Until recently everything she put has been a cover with no original works of her own and the new material that she has put out has been lacking in my opinion. Ayu Gusfanz on the other hand has a catalog of music she has composed herself and at a much younger age.
Ayu has had a couple of mentions via this thread. I think she has to go on my list now 😁
Tina is a 15 year old schoolgirl !! It's not her job, she wants to be an engineer ! Don't ask her to compose, she plays for fun, not to put on a show, look at her black studio !!!
@@IA_Information_Paris Tina is a 25 year old woman that has been professionally trained from the age of 9. She is currently in a band called Spin Twice and has had corporate sponsors backing her for over a decade. She hasn't been a school girl for long time.
@@stevend474 Poor idiot!!! Tina is not a professional. She made her videos when she was a schoolgirl!! It's not his job! She left the University of Evry where she lived in 2023 after her engineering degree at Telecom SudParis!! Her little sister Léa is a student there at the moment!!
@@stevend474 TINA S's interview : "As far as my working time is concerned, it is quite limited. I go to school all week, which doesn't allow me to play my guitar. I started with a standard curriculum by enrolling at the age of 6 years at the conservatory of classical music. At the age of 13, I decided to turn to a more rock'n'roll world starting to play on the electric guitar. It is a mistake to talk about career for me."
