Hi Janis, all i know is this tune apparently dates back into the 1830’s! and called Possum up a gum stump, maybe look that up, you will find much history. Also have seen noted as Possum on a gum stump, I guess here they ate in Australia and being from overseas it was fittingly chosen! 👍

Nadine is a Canadian from the east coast, Gaspe, and Sammy Lind from Minnesota. They are also part of Foghorn String Band. Nadine would for sure have been raised around french style fiddle, which is same as played in Louisiana. Minnesota would would also contain some french style from early fur traders.

no generally as you may know the bass is kept very bouncingly busy, i have more footage but lack of lnternet is a major issue at home, and its not done for funds either. nice to see you appreciate such
