Friend recently filed for Individual Unemployability.. He is 65 years old. VA reexamined him for his approved disabilities, even though he is older than 55, and has had the approved disabilities for over the 10 and 20 year points! As I understand it, IU awards are capable of being reviewed on an annual basis as well.

I see plenty of people being reduced way after the 10 year rule. They're not fully following the rules.
I have prostate cancer that metastisized to my lymph nodes and numerous bones. My oncologist told me there is no cure, I'm on hormone therapy to extend life. I'm told that I have about 5 years. VA gave me 100% temporary. I don't understand.

That’s because cancer is always reviewed on a yearly basis and is RARELY static. It’s just how the schedule of ratings work.
Would all of this be affected by Project 2025?
You don't have to prove anything. The VA has to prove your conditions have gotten better. Which black and white evidence not an absence from the va doctor.

Ive been 100 for almost eight years, i got reduced for missing appointments. Im not in the USA, my conditions haven't gotten any better, they have gotten worse. They don't have evidence of getting better, I added two dependents, a wife, and a stepson. The stepson is still available for school since he isn't 23, hes turning 21 this year, so would my dependents be qualified for benefits since i married into the relationship, the son isn't my blood, and im the only US citizen. We live in Mexico. They're Mexican.
