My son had a problem with a Ford Fusion. Low volts on the battery, would not turn over, he then tried bump starting it. Bad decision Low volts equals high amps which burned some of the wirings into the ECU. Alternative there could be a way of disabling the security using the key in the lock. If you have an OBD2 code reader you could possibly see the code in the ECU. The ECU could have lost the security code on the key. Need Reprograming. Again battery went flat which could cause it. Hope this helps and glad to see you on your feet again. All the best.
Good info! Unfortunately, it was my fault. Somebody suggested I check the MAF sensor with a meter. I did and must have shorted it accidentally. It blew fuse 12! The only one I didn't check!!
Hi mate try locking the car from outside and holding the lock button down for 30 seconds to reset transponder 👍. Sometimes when battery go's flat it works?
duno if this is appicable but if leave ign on, the emob light should pause and then flash slow x amount of times indication a fault number count flashes, duno where u would go to look up fault code flashes.
About the oil from the turbo, have you considered it could be related to the pcv system? Maybe the oil separator is no more working correctly so it leaks some oil into the intake hose of the turbo... I'm just wondering, i think it's very ulikely to break 4 turbos so often... Let me know what you discover
mine fiesta is doing the same the starter works if I short the ]battery lead and the solenoid it whirrs over well but will not start the engine, ie not firing. the key does nothing and the screen 0n the dash goes out, it comes back when off the second position. checked all the fuses i mean ALL and the relays got swapped over. Analyser tells me there is starter relay disabled and that is controlled by the ECU? How to enable is the question. Why no communication? Feels expensive and more than the car is worth. It has a whirring noise that came on the day before, that is rpm dependent so maybe alternator , which share the same fuse system. Must look there now.
going though my fiesta 1.4 tdci, it takes a few cranks b4 starting, when it starts it smokes for 3 or 4 min mins, gets les as it warms up, i suspect glow plugs, glow relay, best case a fuse, think i found the relay big fat odd looking relay 10mm nut on the battery shelf? where might i find the fuse, guessing it wont be in the car, and likly to be 40a 60a fuse, where is it lol....
Yes, Old Stinky did that until I had the glow plugs changed. Fires straight up now. The relay shares the mounting bracket for the engine PCM behind the left-hand headlight. Sorry, don't know where the fuse is.

@@markwhitfield5412 Ah, there are two types of glow plug. the ones with push on wires and the other with threads and nuts. in answer, I don't know. It's best to get the same type as the ones that are in. The caps might fit if the diameter is similar, if they can go far enough down before hitting the base of the thread. With only two out of four working, that explains the slow starting, especialy in this cold weather.
@@sleepycatpictures1176 the 1st set i got have nuts on the glow plugs, there the same as my fiesta van 2005, the 2006 fiesta car has push on caps, so ive ordered another set, cheap ebay sets £16 for 4, vs £48 for a set of ngk glow plugs, i guess time will tell.
I have the Fiesta version of this car , and the glow plug light doesn't come on either, even in the winter. Apparently it is only due to do so when the temp is below zero. I assume the compression is sufficient enough on its own to not be needed other than then ?

Mine woas fine starting until the last heater went wrong and it went to limp. The heaters work at various times during running to keep emissions down and that is why they went to limp although still started ok.. they are sometimes corroded in or break but three would still fool the system, mine were easy to replace but make sure you put coppegrease on the new ones as stainless and alloy are electrically dissimilar and corrode easily.
Hi I have got a problem with my Ford Fusion fiesta when I am driving the car cut off on it on without a warning but when I started again it goes on what could be the problem
Hi Amos. Difficult to give a diagnoses on that information. Best bet is to take it to someone with a diagnostic kit and get them to check it thouroughly. Try some WD40 on the electrical connections, particularly the battery ones and wiggle the wires to see if any are broken. If it's a petrol engine then try cleaning the idle control valve with carb cleaner. Also check the plug on the mass air flow sensor. Another thing could be the crank position sensor failing. Good Luck!
I had the same problem on my fusion. She cuts off while driving and the RPM counter goes to 0 (while the car is still moving and the engine turning). Also sometimes she shuts off by herself. The problem was a bad Crankshaft position sensor near the crankshaft pulley. Found it with an obd scanner. Changed it and now she works fine
Hi, I blew that fuse when I tested the MAF sensor, very badly! The MAF sensor was okay but the fuse blew. F12 covers a few things and one of them is the ignition. But Ultimately, it was my fault.
Thank you Chas, unfortunately, the answer was more simple, Fuse 12. I blew it by accident and did not notice. Anyway, cheap repair. Easily found with the right diagnostic tool!
You can also use the key to disable the alarm system by manual lock and unlock of drivers door hope that helps 👍.

Low volts=low amps!! High amps only if the load have no resistance (short circuit).
If it burned some wiring it's due to a short somewhere.

Thanks Chas, I'll try that next time. Unfortunately, the answer was much more mundane. Fuse 12. My fault. Cheers, Derek.

Thanks Mark, but the issue was down to me blowing a fuse. No 12 if I recall!
You’d put the code in online to read code.. didn’t know these done that though. 👍🏻
Hi, just would like to know where the glow plug relay located on this car
The relay is in the engine compartment behind the left hand headlight. It shares a mounting bracket with the engine PCM.
This simptome also looks like a anlanser (starter) foult
It is the chip reader at your ignition lock that is broken 100%
Ah, another possibility. As it turns out, it was Number 12 fuse which I had blown when I carelessly checked the MAF sensor.

Yes, more than likely, which is why I was disappointed to see oil in the turbo after changing the rocker cover. To be honest, I don't know.
Yeah... Very strange what else could it be? Maybe the wastegate valve stucked closed that blows the turbo?
@@william_mazza Mm, might have a look at that.
I've got the exact same problem with my fusion. Did you get it sorted?
What was the problem and the fix??
I believe it was fuse 12. I had blown it by accident checking the MAF sensor. It's behind the glove box.
