Thank you for your vids! Just replaced mu 04 Fusion's clutch with everything I learned from your videos. This is a good guide, but I had no wrench like you, so I had to take battery and everything under it to get to the top fastenings. Now the car is up and running! Had a problem with bearing, clutch was still in good shape. Have a good year 2022 and thank you again for filming every moment.
Great video on one of the few jobs I always avoided due to no confidence but your no nonsense, simple step by step video has inspired me. Thanks for Uploading. 👍
Remind me of when I once did a clutch in a fiesta ztech, put the box back in with new clutch and concentric cylinder , came to fit the feed pipe and the numpty at the parts supplier had given me the wrong size cylinder , had to take is back out and fit replacement cylinder and charged them £80 ( suppliers ) for the privaledge, stay safe Kevin , you are Mr Strong !!💪
Kevin, I applaud your work! I myself work as a mobile mechanic for a construction company just as you, always outdoors. Thank God for these cordless impacts and ratchets! Was wondering how you go about eye protection? When there is wind and rain it kinda always finds a way to put stuff into your eyes, so was wondering are you sometimes wearing googles? Biggest respect from Serbia!
Video has once again helped me so much, thank you! I'm having to do this again for my sister, only lasted 10,000 miles! Garage quoted £850+ and she was going to have to scrap the car. Instead it will cost her £18 for the clutch which was on sale and snacks for me.
Nice easy and accessible with no subframe in the way. 26:40 I think a woman owns this car because a man would not walk around with a ball of fluff in his pocket 😂😂
i would love to see you smash a transit rwd mk6 or 7 pickup clutch. been keeping up with your work your top bloke you always make it look easy its a pleasure to see you work tc
Hooked on watching your vids mate. Finally given me the confidence to have a crack myself. Just one question. Are the newer self adjusting clutches fhe same fitting process? (The ones without spring adjustment) cheers.👍👍
Thank you for your quick reply. I put 2,2 already. But there is still a noise from the gearbox, and I think it needs to fil more 100-200ml. If you have any suggestion pls let me know
Nice and fast! Why the jump starter? I wonder if it is easy for the plastic cover of the gearbox to fall down and loose it. This is not the case as this car unit seems in very good condition and care. I'm glad to see that you have not stopped working. But take care!
Which impact wrench would you recommend for a DIY mechanic to do this job? I know the Milwaukee M18 is probably one of the best out there but they are so expensive for someone that only does work every once in a while. Can you recommend a cheaper alternative?
Makita do impact wrenches, try 'ffx tools' ( no I haven't got shares in the firm). Recognized brand make I use all the time for construction tools. Buy cheap, buy twice.
Bosch has a inexpensive impact the GDS 250, but keep in mind the biggest fastener your able to do with these is about M16, or 22 size. In practice using impact rated sockets and extensions is key. I have this gun that Kevin has, but when using it with chrome sockets it looses half its power. Not to mention you ruin chrome sockets when using impacts on them, they break very quickly. All the work that you see in the video you can do with the Bosch, but the shorter extension you use, the better.
It don't matter if he talks or not. Filming all this stuff makes the job longer let alone having to explain what he is doing. Deep breaths man, it's gonna be fine 😂😂
street Mechanic , its so nice to do the jobb when all neighbours are at jobb.this Man is soldier from the jungle
You made me buy a Milwaukee impact gun and a swivel socket lol keep up the great work!

Fantastic video's as alway's though I'd thought you would have some kind of portable/universal gearbox cradle built by now just to assist 👍
