Not sure why I'm watching as I don't own an evo. But this one looks clean. Really like the pops of colour on the calipers too 👌. Will definitely be sticking around and seeing what comes next.
Thanks for your video. I agree almost everything, except for a couple of things. For the fourth mod, with the Evo 8's stock turbo, with full 3" exaust line, the power is usually around 350hp with gasoline. If you want to use E85, you need to upgrade the injectors. On the other hand, I do not see the need to change the stock ECU. Before that I would put a lot of things, (better tires, better brake pads, metal hoses, sway bars...)
I spose it's based on what I use the car for. After the track day, if I did more in the Evo, then I'd definitely want pads changed, more track orientated tyres etc.
Hi Dom. Thanks for the good advices. Yes, neighbors will hate me if I got me a loud exhaust. 130 km/h will knock ears drums out on express ways. Is there any tuning future with the plain 2WD? 4G63 got half the HP stock than the Evo and is Naturally Aspirated. Too much power on the front wheels can be a bit messy, Maybe a Eco ECU tune could do the work? BR NGK
Hey NGK, I'm not too sure. From owning an Evo and not driving the 2WD Lancer I don't know what they're like, but when I've spoke to tuners they've said the tuning capabilities is a bit pointless and a waste of money. They're 1.6 engines I believe so you could add a turbo, but again, without the traction would it take the power? Maybe not.
It is a 2.0 DOHC 16 valve with a Maniverter (manifold and catalytic exhaust in one part). Hearing your drives in the gears, sounds familiar, just no turbo. It likes a twisty road with the low ratio gears. The weight is 1.275 kg. In Denmark we have too many laws on tuning and when caught they send the car to a authorized dealer to go standard again or scrap it. BR NGK
@ngk68 ah that's gutting, I know a guy in the UK with a Lancer that is a 1.6 which I why I thought they all are. Gutting about modifying for sure, you'll have to move to the UK 🤣
@@dominichills so what you've got there is about 280kw. You reckon that's a safe amount of power with stock internals and stock turbo? Just got my 8 and ready to get a little more power. Cheers for the mod info!
@BenPascoeMusic yes for sure it's fine. It's the standard upgrade for most Evo 7, 8, or 9 owners who want more power before changing turbos, forging etc.

Thanks for watching, and I'm glad you like the Evo! Yes, more things to come soon 👌

Really, where an Evo is enjoyed is in the mountains, that is what it is made for.
@@ManuEvo8 if only I had those around where I live 🤣 land as flat as a pancake!
Loving the Vids Dom. Hope I can bring mine to a show with yours next year! Keep up the great work :D
Thanks dude, yes hopefully get to a show next year where we are both at. I've got a few lined up!

I hope we can still be friends? 🤣
@@dominichills most definitely, although my bank account might disagree lol
@connorlake4675 ah don't worry about that! 😜
Lowkey jealous you got 40% gain from £1k worth of upgrades 🥲
I know right, Evo's are so de-tuned in reality there is so much you can do up to about 420ish, and then you need to build the engine.
