Great to hear, with Bad Obsession following an upload schedule known only to arcane gods, yourself and Sarah'N'Tuned are my main fixes for OEM plus car stuff. Oh, and Jimmy Oakes, right up until he does Wheels and Tires.
@@TheOriginalDaveJ just downloaded the app to see if it was any better than what i have, unfortunately it won't work with my OBDII scanner, but will work with any OBDII scanner with Bluetooth connection, my scanner connects via wifi through the phone. As long as you have a Bluetooth OBDII scanner and a socket to put it in (so almost anything after 1996?) it should work.
Everyone did a great job and it really shows. “Jack’s Evo” is definitely going to live on forever as an absolute legend. Wouldn’t be surprised if we see it in video games. Gimme Jack’s Evo in Forza!
@@StanleyKubick1 what you said is a bit harsh but yeah i agree, Jacks Evo cannot be really represented in its true light and the insane amount of work done into it because it looks like a stock Evo from the outside
Jack the evo series has been amazing to follow, you should be eternally proud of this build. Having Mitsubishi think so highly of it is validation of your detail and patience. Top job.
Man Jack im absolutely in love with the Evo. I’m pretty sure we’re around the same age. I’ll never forget when I was in high school how excited I was to get my SRT Neon. I would go to the car shows in the late 90’s and early 2000’s. And I only dreamed of having one of the Evo’s. It’s still today a dream car of mine. And if I ever get the money to build one I’d strive to get mine a 1/4 of what you have built. Love the build so so much. The color, the attention to detail, the power, the blowoff sound, and knowing where it come from to where it’s at now. Congrats on such a beautiful build
Dam the blow off sound and shade of blue are the icing on the cake for such an awesome build. Fantastic to see the reactions of everyone involved. Congratulations Jack on one epic ride
this build is epic! with all the ups and downs that you went through and now seeing you enjoy your car is worth waiting for the videos to come out! cant wait for your next build jack! hoping to see a colab build with you and jared with his supra, that has been buried with all his other builds, with your expertise in body work and jared the mechanical genius. that would surely be and epic colab to rebuild his supra! :)
If anyone knows anything about Mitsubishi they don't care what you think or want. Them having any type of dealership or shop is completely amazing. I love the rebuild just not the wheels I've tried so hard to like them but honestly a thin 5 spoke in a silver world really fit the car.
I really, really love that Jack took the time to go and give people who helped out on the build a ride in the finished car. That's a real touch of class. Proof you can be a full hot-boi petrol-head and still be grateful, humble and just a good person.
car looks fantastic ! Its been a joy to see all the build videos !!! One word of advise , never let the car coast in neutral in “high” speed , in case you need to swerve or change direction your accelerator is basically useless and you will lose precious time till you put a gear back in !
This is such a beautiful car and I love how the mods are not overdone. To the uneducated it could be mistaken for stock. Nothing looks amateur, everything looks so professional it’s incredible especially considering how bad a state it was to begin with. Definitely takes it to 11.
The way he went abt things and bring it back up to specification is exactly how i would work on my own car. Thru experience i dont half do anything. If im gona replace something it either has to be a original factory part or if another company improved upon that part. U do it once u do it right cuz in the long run u actually end up saving and get the piece of mind its all quality parts.
FINALLY I found the channel. I saw the TRC racing with the EVO and I didn't even make the connection it was Jack that helped out Tavarish. Glad to be a subscriber and can't wait to go back and see all the past videos!
Man this is EPIC! What on earth do you build next? You set the bar so high!! It is an absolute testimony to all the work done that no issues came up during the shake down. Way to go bro,
Congrats Jack, i grew up on the STI and to a lesser extent the evo, so loved seeing what you could urn those cars into. Looking forward to another build!
You did spectacular work man. I watched everything. It was really amazing to see the emotional happiness on your face when you drove the Evo. I could feel you from over here. You are a true master.
That was an amazing job man!! Huge reward for all the effort!! And I'm very glad that, despite having Freddy as teacher, you actually finished the build!!
I don't think people understand how insane this restoration was. I think 90% of body shops wouldn't even bother working on it even if you had the money
Those shifts,.... Sooooo Smooooth! That beast you built shifts like a dream! Seems to drive smooth and ride smooth. An all around Smoothy! Clean and Beautifull ride.
I like the video's, but not crazy about the music, prefer no lyrics because it's distracting for my ADHD, but voiceovers talking about the car when you go in ffwd mode would be better than any music at all. I have perfect pitch, and that messes with my attention span as well. I'm cold as it gets up here in michigan today, and i got the progressive multiplying sclerosis that kicks my ass a lot, and watching you car fellas get me through until i can do some stuff when the sun comes back in a couple month's. I'm nearly 53, probably one of five woman who watch this kind of stuff, because i grew up with a wrench in my hand as cheap child labor for my dad and grandpa's. You guy's probably at least grew up with a remote for the tv, but i was the remote lol. G-d bless.
Well deserved smile on your face. You know, if your ears wouldent be there, the smile would go all around, Congrats and stay out of cops sight. Regards from Sweden.
Hi Jack, followed your build from Rhodes Greece, you have definitely given life to an amazing car, i have an evo 8 from New ssl model, I'll send it over for a make over. 😊 You should be proud, great job.
Man, great car, but I must tell you something. When driving car with manual shifter, never roll car in neutral. You did some hard pulls and then just go in to neutral and let car roll or brake while in neutral. Just let go off gas pedal or upshift and than brake to slow down. Enjoy your dreamcar, hard work pays off👍
WOW! INCREDIBLE! There's so much I want to say. You should be extremely proud of yourself. It seems that everything you you have learned must have gone into this build, I really enjoyed watching you do it. Thank you for making the videos. You might want to check that passenger seat for 'staining' 😄🤣😂🤣and just check there isn't a trapped cat under the bonnet. But seriously, it sounds awesome, great work! I'd love to see it in person one day.
So proud of this build truly am think am ah take a few things out of your page Jack for my mazdaspeed I am glad when I saw your page I didn't pass it by great job and journey on the build blessings bro much love from out of 🇹🇹 💯🔥🎉😊
Wow Jack this was an epic build i absolutely applaud you for your dedication to bringing these cars back from the dead an saving one legendary car at a time ❤❤❤ Thank you !!
Please follow Tavarish's lead and add a mega-cut of the EVO build... I'd love to add it to my "Comfort Videos" playlists to put in the backgroud while I do stuff. What an amazing build, you should be very proud.. we certainly are!
Congratulations your accomplishments with your build. It looks amazing. Loving the sound it makes when changing gears. It reminds me of my old gsx eclipse.
My favorite build on youtube. I can’t quite drop everything to watch asap when the video dropped a few hours ago, as I just have a newborn daughter; but finally my poop machine is asleep and I can watch! LOL.
"Do some pulls." It's 'Ferris Buller' time! I was kinda hoping to get the mechanics reaction to the work you did by going through photo's of the repairs.
Jack, real question. Why do you throw the transmission in neutral after every pull? Is there something specific with your build that requires it? Normally is best to keep your transmission, and use the braking effect of the engine to decelerate. This helps keep the vehicle in control (by staying in gear), as well as greatly increases brake pad life. Seriously curious if it's something to do with the build, or what. Fantastic build Jack, looks like a blast.

This. This right here is the level of perfectionism we all WISH we could inspire with our work. Congratulations.
