Standard Evo IX FQ360 over here in the UK... Not a thing id change about it and ive modified every car I ever owned... Mad eh. A car from 2006 that is factory perfect. Had many Subaru's in the past too but I matured lol... Evoooooooo!
Here's The simple recipe: (From a single owner, 06 Mitsubishi Evo RS with a 150 k + miles on it) All you need is brakes tires, coilovers, an alignment, and a STOCK MOTOR!. Don't chase horsepower, the stock motor has enough power if your driving the car like it was designed for and it's reliable. Don't just go straight (because any fool can go straight.) Find some corners and it'll be nothing but smiles. Trust me, I had an ND 1 Miata, but the Evo is still here. I just got a new GR86 and already I want to get rid of it.
It’s a good car back in 2003-2015ish. When other cars started coming with turbos for the same price new as a used Evo it wasn’t a good value anymore. Only people who get them are enthusiasts
I understand why the evos why the 8 and 9 are expensive. They only made them for 3 years and didn't make that many for the usdm market. We only got 8201 evo 9 and for the 8 its 12,846. To the 04 to 07 sti 25,813. Evo 9 will always be over priced 8 not as much.
Not sure why you think the proven strongest 4 cylinder ever made is less reliable than wrx/sti that blow up engines and transmissions bone stock from the factory. Evo owners daily these cars at 500hp reliably for many years. Please stop spreading misinformation these cars are easily more reliable than subarus and just as reliable as a grocery getter daily driver most people get as their first car.
Ok guys question. Do you excuse a few scratches in your wheels when they come brand new in the mail? I’m not talking just the inner rim either. The outward facing side that everyone sees? Like god dang. Hurts to see
I really like the fact that it’s rare to see an Evo on the road versus what everyone else is driving these days. Sure I could buy any new modern car with all the amenities but I chose to drop money on a classic.

If doing just bolt ons....dont go with 3" intercooler piping like he suggested....stay with 2.5"
