- Yes, there are actually things on my Mitsubishi Evo 8 that I dislike, and that annoy me. Now don't get me wrong, I still love this car, but there are just a few niggles. They can be changed, don't sweat, and today we run through my 5 things that I feel the Evo 8 could've done with to just make it that little bit better. Some will same I'm clutching at straws, some will say there are other factors that annoy them from their ownership, so lets jump in and give you an honest review of the small things I would have, or have changed.

Turning circle used to bug me on mine, trying to manoeuvre out something, needed a 40 point turn lol
Haha tbh I forgot about that, and I think I've got used to it 🤣 What's the Civic like?
1. You can have the Tial bov fabricated anywhere along the upper pipe to work around the stock battery location.
2. Get a CAE shifter and or do all the interior and under the hood bushings to help out the shifter
3. Easy swap to jdm rear bumper
4. Always swap to the Evo 9 turbo
5. Need to get a wagon for flat seats :)

Cheers for watching. Yes I changed the bumper as the 9 looks better. Never knew that on the shifter, good to know. I thought on swapping the Evo 9 turbo but for 15-20bhp I can't be bothered. Haha.
Teal is a nice color for the bov but I like it when they make it purple
I have a 7 and these cars are so much fun to drive and you can feel the rawness in their engineering and provide so much vibes but when you have an issue and it's making you chase your tail it makes you want to throw the car as far as you can. You mentioned the weather strips, can you provide us with a link to where you can purchase those?
Sure thing, I got mine from Ross Sport which is collection only. If not, your local mitsubishi dealership can also get them. Their official name is a drip moulding.

And yes, the cars are amazing. If something goes wrong I'm lucky I have Gary at AP Tuning 20 minutes from me as he is an Evo expert. I thought about getting rid of it, but I can't, I love it!
@@dominichills thank you. I'll have to looking into it because I am in Barbados but I just love the look of new OEM mouldings and finding them is pretty difficult

My evo 8 has the start up 1st and reverse issue too lol. I put it into 3rd with clutch in. Then it will go into 1st or reverse

My 5rs does this from cold. It’s pretty common on these boxes.
Ah yes exactly as I thought, it's all good when warm so just must be a little old haha
I have an Evo 6 yes the Evo has annoying issues and niggles but the minute you drive it that all goes away and you understand what there all about.
Exactly this! I couldn't agree more, and when I drive it, the smile on my face is what it's all about.
My EVO 8 2.3 stroker with the 5speed fitted does the same gearbox fussy with reverse when cold

9gt 5 speed gearbox the same haha. It is abit notchy in first and reverse from cold.
Yep! I'm running a 6 speed, classic Evo 🤣
haha got the same problem with my gears, but its my 2nd that wont go in for a bit, just wants the rev to drop then it will go in when its still cold, my reverse is 80% okay, my picky this are the foot pedals, don't really like them that much.

I've never had it on any of my other cars which is why I thought it was an Evo thing
