Trapped in the house with everything going on in the world and I thought, I might actually have all these ingredients in the house!! I did so I made this and it was amazing. Thanks for the inspiration. I know that I am going to make it again!! Adding the dried cherries that I have in the pantry to make this even more yummy!
Be lucky to have a home. And your probably not living next to businesses with bars on their window and graffiti in the alleys😊 so ya....be lucky and grateful 🎉. Most people only see the world's problems and the filth of America on TV not in their own neighborhoods and definitely not in their own households🎉
I absolutely adore your videos! You give such healthy tips, but you are so real and relatable! Such a friendly voice and demeanor.... I always enjoy!! Keep it up!!
Just tried it and came to this video so you would get a feedback. It is AMAZING, thank you so much Christine! I put more coconut and adjusted ratios for the dried fruits to have dates and almonds. Of course I had to make my own version for adjusted ratios in general but it still came out so great. I personally did not add any salt nor honey (just a squeeze of agave syrup) while I added a vanilla sugar packet (which you can find where I live) on top of the regular liquid vanilla. Didn't count the nutmeg nor the cinnamon, eyeballing was fine. I had one part granola with two spoons of *vegan* almond yogurt. Could not even tell it was vegan, although I have no specific diet.
wow cloves and nutmeg? sounds really yummy. I will make it,I have a very delicious recipie thay I been using for more then 10 years but you convence me lol so I will give it atrt.thanks.
Oh my goodness! I added golden raisins and cacao nips with almonds all together while baking. Still came out great. I did cut in half due to only 1/2 cup honey left
I made this last year right after I found your channel, and seriously, you have ruined me for any other granola. I store it in the snack pantry in half gallon mason jars, and it lasts quite a while. Thank you for all the great content you provide.
Honeys that don't crystallize that I use are Sage and Wild Flower. The most common honey at the grocery store is Clover honey and it definitely crystallizes. FYI, I don't like Tupelo honey, even though it the more expensive honey.
Finally got around to making this recipe this morning since I was out of granola but miraculously had all the ingredients on hand to make this, sorta (replaced 1/3c honey with maple syrup since I only had 2/3c honey. It doesn't have the same crunch I'm used to with store bought granola, but it made a whopping 3 lbs 6oz of granola with ingredients I already had, so I'd definitely call that a win.
You reminded me of memories with my grandpa he is no longer with us. He had alot of bee gives and when I was little he would get his hat on in and go out past the huge garden and he said he planted bee's and I love the wax. I believed him for years it was always a joke with the family and this honey talk reminded me about that.. That looks awesome I may have to fix some but I don't need that much could you cut it in half by change? TFS,awesome recipe.. Blessings
So let me get this right… I put each pan in for 7 minutes, one at a time. When pan 1 is done, take out and stir, add the second, bake 7 minutes, stir, then third. Then repeat this process again at 5 minutes each. But why not do the whole set of 3 for 7 minutes, stir, rotate the pans, then 5 minutes? Why do each pan one at a time? Just clarifying. I love all your content!
Yummy! Granola is so $$$ to buy and I love being able to control the ingredients so no preservatives. Do you store in like a Tupperware container to keep fresh?
My daughter is celiac and I've been buying the gluten free granola which costs a fortune and is hit and miss for yumminess. I finally tried this recipe tonight. I'll never buy granola again! Thanks so much! It really is delicious and customizable to her tastes.
Would this work the same if I just adjusted ratios and didn't add the coconut, or does it do something specific? I've never enjoyed the texture or taste, but otherwise this looks delicious!
I like this recipe. I tried both coconut oil and butter. Love the butter.

Skipped the coconut, almonds, & pecans, then halved it. It was a hit!
Thanks.

Thanks for all you do. Fyi. Pure tupelo honey, doesn't crystallize, but it's the only honey I know of that won't.

Omg I'm going to make this!!!
Great video
MMmmm, vannillllaaaa. Definitely the more the better!

I'm allergic to coconut...what would be a good substitute?
There’s nothing else that tastes like coconut lmaoo
Just leave the coconut out. Maybe add more tree nuts instead
I use barley flakes instead of Oates
That bag of pecans was worth about 2 hours of work at my job.😮 your smart. Some of us are not smart😊
Do you think this is more cost effective than buying pre made from the store?
yes!
you use either walnuts or almonds? or both?
Whatever nut you prefer!
thanks the recipe said 1cup of walmuts 1 cup of almonds.thanks
Would this work the same if I just adjusted ratios and didn't add the coconut, or does it do something specific? I've never enjoyed the texture or taste, but otherwise this looks delicious!
It should
@@FrugalFitMom Thank you for responding :)
How long does it last?
If i don’t add nut should I add more oats? My daughter is allergic to nuts so I don’t want to add it so she can still eat it
You can just leave them out
Is the coconut sweetened?
Yes. :)
Thank you for asking. I knew someone would have already asked and the answer would be here
It's called a sprinkidink :)
Haha! You are totally right!
Do you think this would work with olive oil instead of coconut?
Sure!
@@FrugalFitMom I made some and it is yummy, thanks!
does this last long.?
It lasts us quite a while. 1-2 months?
Maybe use applesauce instead of oil
Looks good to me but I'd probably leave out the coconut
What could I use in place of coconut?
You could just leave it out
Frugal Fit Mom ok great. Thanks!! Will definitely make this!! Love your channel❤️❤️
i just add in more oats to make up the difference.
Ashley Sears okey dokey!! Thanks!!
How do you eat your granola most often and not as often, 😂 Thanks!
Is this the same granola she makes in one of her most recent videos of meal prepping?
YES!
I hate the taste of coconut so I am screwed! LOL
