What a lovely simple recipe for granola! Glad I found this, the old man and I are big peanut butter lovers. We've been know to eat peanut butter & crackers supper if we're tired from a busy day. That's the advantage of being seniors, you get to eat what you want and everybody just rolls their eyes and thinks, "old people" 🙄 😆
Peanut butter granola is in my oven right now as I type this. We're cutting down on store bought cereals, most of the time are not even worth the money especially for the amount in the box. My husband loves peanut butter he will like this Thanks!👍🤍
Yum. Ive gotta try it for my yogurt. By the way, your skin and hair looks really healthy. Your glowing! I love that . I didnt realize how healthy mine could look after years of dull skin and hair till i quit chemicals, soda, sugar and started eating healthy and also the no soap and shampoo. It really kicked it up a notch as well when i started the lavender and baking soda scrub. Thanks for your awsome videos.
Thank you Jennifer! Yes, it is amazing how getting away from all the chemical garbage that they try to convince us that we NEED to have healthy skin and hair makes a huge difference and my homemade natural skin cream is the best I have ever used. I still use soap to wash with but only my own homemade soap that does not strip all the natural oils from my skin.
wow I am glad I came across your video, I wanted to make granola but every recipe calls for nuts which for health reasons I cannot have them. so this is perfect for me. tks for the recipe and video Nicky
I know this is a 1 yr. old comment I'm replying to, but I just wanted to remind you there is indeed 'peanut' butter in this recipe which means there are indeed ground up nuts as an ingredient which you said you can't have for health reasons.
We made your granola peanut butter and honey granola recipe! My eight year old granddaughter and I had so much fun. We even filmed our adventure my son ate it for dinner and loves it. He even said it's easy enough that he will make it himself. Great alternative to those boxed cereals with all kinds of additives in it. Will let you know when I post our video and will credit you back.
I would have to check my granola bar recipe to make sure you did not need more honey and peanut butter to get it to hold together but it might work, one would simply just need to press into the pan, then cut into rectangles and bake without stirring.
Ok, now I'm hungry! Reminds me of when I was a kid I would mix peanut butter and honey in a bowl and eat it with a spoon! LOL This video is going in my saved list for sure...and an FB share is in order I think. Thanks Heidi!
Thank you sister - making it now! Oh - if i vacuum seal the jars, how long will it keep? then when I open I use within 2 weeks right? Thank you again! :)
Rain Country peanut butter is my weakness! I love it and the bit of crunch ya get from granola is perfect! Salty/sweet is what I crrrrraave at those “special times” we ladies have. This is going to be my “go to” snack. I’m really tickled you shared this one. YAYYYYY MOM!!!! 😆💕
Ok - im going to make this today! One question: is your peanut butter already sweetened? I have jar of PB wanting to use up that has sugar in it plus little palm oil. People im making for love sweet so sure it wont be critical. Im a beginner at granola making and your simple method with few ingredients won me!
orange cream chocolate the other day, peanut butter granola today, YUMMMMMM! You're in Rain Country, I think if I were up there I could probably follow my nose to your door! lol
As long as you vacuum seal it into your jars, it should last for quite a long time, When it is finished, it is already very dry so no need to dehydrate again
Yes, of course. This is just one recipe out of many you can create but I do have two other recipes one involving using jam or jelly of your choice in place of honey and no peanut butter, another involving honey with coconut and bananas, but the possibilities are endless
Any way of making something like this without oats for those of us with Celiac's ?? We can't have oats rye wheat or barley & Many of us have other restrictions as well. Maybe Just using seeds instead of oats???
Yes, you can use whatever seeds you want. I have considered trying cooked rice and quinoa as well to see how it would turn out once it was baked. I need to experiment with that.
I had not thought to say in the video, but this is mainly what I make it for is a cereal but also is a great snack and is perfect for long trips or backpacking.
I see this and it looks FAB, and then I remember Oats make me sick. The smell of Porridge cooking? Sends me running for the loo in urgent evacuation mode, Curry is the same lol. I have tried some of the Organic, (aka Expensive) natural ones that also had seeds & dried fruit in them, because I was seduced in the Cereal Aisle by the box & the look of it, only to discover it still tastes of Oats! I've got bags of it Vacuum Sealed thinking I might make Flapjacks with it. Don't know who for. Can you tell me if it stays crunchy under the vacuum (mine's in bags, we don't have Mason Jars over here)
Is that *one down the road* going to be the raspberry cream?!? I hope I hope I HOPE?!? man oh MAN!!! I watched this in the morning ... made it ... ate it... and I think my FB post said it all. :-D !!!!!!!!!!!! Love & prayers
I actually plan on shooting that other granola video today, though it may be at least a week or so before I get it out. Sorry to say though, it is not raspberry cream! haha
That's OK ... You know I look forward to every single one of your videos every single day :-D But, , , HURRY UP already! Just kidding! um.... NO, Im NOT! No pressure here, eh? LOL!!!
I did not even think to say that but it can be used as either. We use it mostly as a cereal but I love to snack on it as well. It can be packed up for taking hiking or on long trips :D
You think it is stupid to be able to actually see what I am doing? I would set the camera that high creating recipes because prior to that, people would complain that could not see, you are complaining because you can. Good gravy, people who get information for free are so hard to please
Awesome. Thank you. I live in brookings oregon on the west coast ocean

I am fairly new to all this you tube stuff but I sure am happy I found you. What a blessing you have been. Thank you ❤️
Hi Heidi, God is good all the time. Hallelujah.❤❤
My parents didn't actually cook on the heater/wood stove.. but they did use it to keep the already cooked food warm! I miss them so much.
Thanks for the reminder. I haven't made any granola in a long time. I think I'll make your recipe today with a few added things. Peace and blessings.

My husband would love this for breakfast! Could it be made into granola bars? He likes to grab and go!
I would have to check my granola bar recipe to make sure you did not need more honey and peanut butter to get it to hold together but it might work, one would simply just need to press into the pan, then cut into rectangles and bake without stirring.

My kids melt honey and peanut butter together for sandwiches.
I still like to eat honey and peanut butter mixed together just as is on occasion :D

Rain Country thank you for responding
Is pure maple syrup ok. Or half and half?
Yes
Thanks for sharing a big ole hand full about would be awesome
Do you think you could do this with just honey? Not wild about the peanut butter honey combination
Yes, of course. This is just one recipe out of many you can create but I do have two other recipes one involving using jam or jelly of your choice in place of honey and no peanut butter, another involving honey with coconut and bananas, but the possibilities are endless
Good recipe. Local honey from a bee keeper is the best
O my word. Gonna happen here. Gonna add carob chips after cooling!!

I can never get to making the granola. I always end up eating the peanut butter honey mixture all by itself.
Peanut butter and honey is a snack I have enjoyed since childhood :)

Can I substitute huney for black treacle. Of molasses
Yes, you can use molasses instead of honey if you choose
Yum! 😋
YUMMY, GREAT VIDEO
Thank you Deborha!
How long will this last vacuum sealed?
As long as the seal holds, it should last indefinitely
Are those Instant Oats or Old Fashioned? Looks so good 😍
I always use old fashioned :)
@@RainCountryHomestead thank you, that's exactly what I have 😱❣️
What type of Oates do you use?
Organic old fashioned rolled oats
@@RainCountryHomestead thank you so much.
Did you use rolled oats?
yes, thick ones, but you can use any kind
Looks going d!

Probably because this is a pretty old video and I am not doing the blog any more due to my more limited time. For all I know it has been shut down.
