This song, about the last man standing out of the van der linde gang. Brought down Micah and his gang almost single handed. Brought down the remaining bandits in new Austin. Brought down the Mexican government. (Something the rebels couldn’t do for 100+ years) Brought down Bill Williamson and his gang. Brought down Javier. Brought down Dutch van der linde. And then it took an army to kill the man. And even they had to put nearly every bullet into the man. RIP John Marston. The biggest badass in gaming

Whenever I hear this, I always think of the final mission of RDR2, it was such an epic moment, John taking out all of Micah's men while yelling out to him.
I love how RDR1 was still a little bit like a Spaghetti Western like we were experiencing a crazy movie, and RDR2 was more like seeing the real thing. It was much sadder.
All began back in the 18 hundreds, a noticed gang by the Pinkertons ‘Van der linde’ gang. Being noticed after robbing Blackwater’s bank. Around 150K. Eventually forced to retreat and losing members of their gang. (Callander Boys). Forced to leave the money behind. Then settling in the snow. United with a enemy gang, the O’driscolls. Hated by the gang, they attacked them stole some train plans, after an almost failed train rob from said plans, gang discovered Mr Cornwall. Fast forward a little bit and the gang move west, into Horseshoe Overlook. Going into Valentine, a nearby livestock town. Arthur Morgan a gang member, a lead gang member, gets into a fight in Valentine, causing more attention to the gang. Fast forward again and the gang gets noticed by the local sheriff office. They knew who they was and the gang shot up Valentine and moved to Rhodes. State of Lemoyne. Rhodes was corrupted by 2 plantation families, Grays, Braithwaites. The gang used this to their advantage and worked with them. Worked with the local law to gain trust. They was underestimated. Grays ambushed Micah Bell, Arthur Morgan, Bill Williamson, Sean Maguire who later got blasted in the head. Braithwaites capturing the child of the the gang, Jack Marston. Destroyed the braithwaites and moved to saint denis. Where they later found Angelo Bronte. Found jack, took Jack and later, killed Angelo and went on a bank heist. Failing miserably, losing Hosea Matthews, co-founder of the gang, Lenny Summers, the youngest gunslinger of the gang to the pinkertons. Being deserted on an island called Guarma. Eventually, killing it’s leader and escaping with the help of the resistance. Tides shifted. The gang got assaulted when camp was made at Lagras. Moved to Beaver Hollow. Gang falling apart and Arthur getting TB. Doing missions for Rains Fall and getting vaccines for the camp. The gang had a rat, and a snitch, Molly’Oshea. The rat was Micah, yet nobody knew. Join being captured. Sadie and Arthur embark and rescue him. Finally, Abigail getting captured. Pinkerton leading agent Miltion getting blasted. Sadie, Abigail, Tilly, Jack. All escape. Arthur goes back to camp where the gang fell apart. John survived. They all separated. Eventually Arthur had to pick an option, in this case going with John. John escaped with Abigail while arthur holded them off. Died eventually. Then John, Abigail, Jack all settle. John finding Sadie, Charles. All ganged up to kill Micah. Leading up to these events.
