      Dude, same and this was my first gun too. Did you clean it before first ever shooting it? And are you running 124 grain to break it in? I’ve been doing lots of research but I haven’t asked anyone.

    • @pewpewswithmr.x
      @pewpewswithmr.x  5 місяців тому

      @dkcrawley9166 I did not clean before shooting, but I always inspect guns before I buy them to make sure they function like they should! It’s not necessary to clean a new gun and gun manufacturers also put break in grease on the gun. 124 grain is great for break in, but not 100% needed unless you have failures to feed? I shoot 115 grain all the time unless a gun is having FTF issues. I hope you stay in contact and thank you for watching!

    I just bought this gun and watched several videos on of to clean and reassemble. You are the first one it looks like when you re install the slide that you only push back a little and not full cock back. It even says it in the manual if you pull it all the way back it will damage the gun. Even though you have to pull it back afterwards to load. I will do it just like this. Thanks man. 👍🏻

      Within my 1st 50 shots, mine stovepiped once, and because the slide spring is so stiff it failed to catch the next rd at least once. You will need to contact Canik to send you a lighter recoil spring. They know this is a problem as they readily send one out. Also dont believe the accuracy hype. Mine was 3 inches to the left at 5 ft. Bought a lazer bullet to confirm and it was confirmed. Payed an extra 25 for a rear sight adjuster, and the rear sight is so tight you almost break the adjuster correcting it. Top this all off with canik never having the capacity to keep other accessories in stock for purchase. Need new mag? Forget it. Want to upgrade barrel to accomodate a dampener? Not happening. Checked back their website weekly for an entire year and still nothing is ever available. I believed the hype like channels like this and not till after purchase did i find similar complaints. Good luck.

      @@DickRileyTheConquistador I feel your pain just not with my CANIKS, because they shoot amazing now that they are fully broken in! My Heritage rough rider Revolver is a pain in my A**, because it will light strike the primer. What that means is when I pull the trigger sometimes the gun won't go BANG and its super annoying. Why I shared this story is, because sometimes a gun that might have a flaw gets shipped out to consumers. That flat out sucks and I'm sorry your Canik isn't performing like it should. Thank you for sharing and I'm not only gonna do reviews on Caniks. I like all Pew-Pews(AKA Guns) and love shooting them all. @@pewpewswithmr.x You feel my pain, just not with your caniks. Well then, you must love the non availability of parts and accessories for those turds you love so much. Thats the biggest complaint and its widespread all over youtube. Dont forget to mention that in your beloved reviews. Whats sad is when theyre so bad at restocking accessories and their online store is a ghost town that there are widespread rumors of Canik creating artificial scarcity to force owners to buy another canik simply just for the extra mags. That is a huge problem.
      And sorry but i probably wont stick around for said reviews. If you convince even 1 person to buy this GREATEST GUN KNOWN TO MAN but leave out the accessories issue in your reviews, you owe it to that person to give them one free magazine for their troubles. Later.

      @@DickRileyTheConquistador I'm sorry if I upset you with my videos or my reply and that's not my intentions for why I wanted to start making videos. I have not had any bad experience with my Canik firearms besides the jamming issues. That was because the gun was built to run heavier grain and I was shooting 115G, but now that both of my Caniks are broken in I have had no issues running 115G. I will 100% Include your experience with Caniks bad customer service and the fact that parts are hard to get if you'd like me too?? I personally have not tried to order anything extra at this time. After hearing your story it makes me annoyed/nervous to even try. Let me know if you want me to do a shout out for you and see what other Canik gun owners think/what they have experienced? When you cock the slide on any pistol make sure you let it go completely, don’t move it forward with your hand, it’s more likely to jam that way and the shell casing is more likely to stay in the chamber, I’m saying this to save your life just in case you get into a shooting so it doesn’t jam on you cause I use to do it too I just learned this like 3 years ago

      Maybe that’s the issue that I’m having with this same canik. I cocked it and let it go on its own like you mentioned and it wouldn’t shoot I took the bullet out and redid it and still nothing. The third time I had a hard time taking the bullet out. Since I’ve bought this gun I’ve had the same issue I mean I love the look of it and when it actually shoots and really would hate to get rid of it so do you happen to have any advice that way I can keep this beauty.

      It’s best to let the gun do all the work and send the round home using the slide release! Sometimes I rack the slide with my hand, but you got to be careful and make sure you don’t ride the slide. If you have the slide back and a mag inserted, using the bolt release is always going to be the best option for chambering a round. When you pull the slide back and release, you always run the risk of it pulling forward some first and not getting a clean insertion. I almost never do a pull release.

    • @pewpewswithmr.x
      @pewpewswithmr.x  2 роки тому +1

      You are correct and also its the fasts way to chamber! On the other hand there is nothing wrong doing it either way as long as you don't let your hand ride the side when its moving forward! CANIK'S slide release is super stiff if you try to use the the right side slide release!(AKA the side for lefties) I'm just saying I think its a good Idea to practice more then one way! Worries me because the rails are integrated into the frame so if that part fails a whole new gun is the only solution.
