I just bought one and shot it without doing anything to it out of the box. It worked flawlessly and felt great. I've ordered a cross-draw holster for it and put some Glow On florescent green paint on the front site to aim in the dark. I really like the gun so far.
I had heard about the problems you were having so, I just ordered a new guide rod and spring, $23.00. Saved me the trouble of sending the gun in. Have not had any issues. Great gun!! Thanks for sharing!!

@@dougie4146 I know exactly what you are talking about and after some research decided to preempt any problems. The problem with factory springs seems to be tension is too high to handle 115 grloads. Have not had any issues since replacing the recoil spring. Good luck!!

The trigger is very light and the pretravel is an added layer of safety. Once you know the trigger, the pretravel is none existent and you can go immediately to the wall for a great accurate shooting.

A deputy and one other guy have already picked up Canicks as a result>> Great guns, but here is a side tip...Canik mags will fit my Walther and visa versa. All of the 15,18 and 20 rounders I bought for my daughter will fit the PDP and my Walther mags fit, lock, feed and drop free on the Canik. Remember the Canik is designed after the SW99, an early Walther pistol. So winners all around!!
I've got over 3,000 rds of primarily 115gr remanufactured fmj with no issues. My wife has maybe around 400rds of 115gr with no issues. Mines a 2021 production and hers is 2021 or 22 production.
@Jim S shoots fine now with a new rod. I can tell you, the first rod had a red marking. The new rod was blue marking. I have the sms dot on mine. I was ringing the steel! Shooting from hunker and sitting on my butt.
Picky on ammo is common for Canik. 115g is not an option for these firearms. 124g is best. Great firearms for the money I carry the elite sc every day and have a light and red dot on my rival for a bed side gun. Love Canik!

I bought the pistol 2 months ago or so and only have about 400 rounds through it. I'm getting jamming as the 124 grain bullet is leaving the magazine and into the chamber. I emailed Canik a couple of days ago and still awaiting their response. I hope that it's a quick fix.
I own a canik tp9 mete sft and I love it but I just bought this canik tp9 elite sc yesterday. So I can use it for conceal carry cas my tp9 mete sft is full size and let me tell ya sometimes it's hard to conceal that gun but I still love it hope I'll love this new canik :)
I had exact same one put lights and Romeo on it. It jammed on me so much. They sent me a new spring and it still jammed. Bought a sig xl ran flawlessly, Now I got the Glock 19 and it runs smoother than both.
canik is not only getting number one in usa but in canada in afrika in asia in everywhere. why? it simply is the best of the best. you can not beat this beast even by so called big brands in the market.
Canik is certainly a great gun. I wouldn't necessarily call it the best of the best, but it is a great value for what it offers. I think Canik needs some more QC.

Guns made to nato spec won't run weak ammo very well their made to hold up to hard round counts... a true mil spec ar can't shoot weak commercial ammo that's the reason companies over gas them

The one i have has had no failures have ran or lots of rounds through it. Definitely recommend this gun. I put my Glock in the safe and I’ll run Canik.
Well that's not a good comparison. Gl💩CK is junk. Most people with half a brain would choose a Canik over it. I would take my Walther, CZ, HK, M&P, Beretta, Springfield, Sig, Arex, SAR, Shadow Systems, Zev, Ruger, BUL Armory, Lone Wolf, Wilson Combat, and SAR over Canik and without hesitation over GL💩CK.

@@All4YAH they are both great. Mc9 is just a smaller version of the tp9 elite but they are both excellent choices
Update: just ran 1000 rnds of magtech and 1000 rnds of CCi blazers and no problems. Great buy 👍🏽

I have the TP9SF-Elite 4" bbl and it's one of my favorites ... my Canik has been 100% flawless from Day 1 ...

I have one as well and decided to run it in my carry rotation with a holosun 407k. I found an aluminum plate for it.

Not to mention optic ready and tough iron sights that promote one handed racking of the slide even off jeans since the rear sight grabs hold.

@Jim S I think OG rod was too heavy, man. And the new spring is just a touch lighter. Guide rod appears to be the same material as OG

Got a Walther P99 and this is almost an exact copy.
I have a brand new one. Racking repeatedly with rounds I keep having the slide catch and not fully seat and also jams rounds.

Has anybody put a reduced spring from Canik in it ? How did it work with 114 ammo ? That seems to have been the problem here.
Research shows the lighter spring kit solves low grain ammo problems. from factory they run 124gr and higher.

Sights are stock. Only the guide rod spring was changed.
