@@motionsic its interesting! It’s that part where theres someone checking those red strips attached to the plane underneath for example! Thanks for the link!
Pretty cool. I didn’t even know that head tracking FPV was a thing until I saw your vids… maybe just me but I think you could save the trouble of the music track. The wind and motor sounds are an important part of the experience and should, imo, be pure.
HT really adds to scale realism to FPV flying and increase situational awareness tremendously. I do post videos occasionally without music but my viewers have voted that some music with real sounds mixed-in is what they prefer. Here’s a recent that’s pure and “untainted” by music. Enjoy: ua-cam.com/video/phwtlb_cHdk/v-deo.html
Certainly more cost effective and less risky! The cost of renting an aerobatic plane an hour is probably close to the cost of these foamy EDF jets. It’s like crashing an RC plane each time you go up in a full scale…
@@motionsic Maybe, I started off in RC and went to full scale, now RC is a distant third compared to hang gliding and GA. I can't imagine life without it now. We were doing FPV/EDF Formation flying 12-13 years ago, but the gear is vastly better now so it's a good option when it's MVFR conditions.
You guys are killing it with thos gimbal! Would you guys do setup video's on some of the planes. Like the viper 90 and this jet. Example: are you using the stock recievers or a flight controller. If stock reciever are you adjusting strength. Viper on the way but this bird looks 👌 stable.
See picture link below of the camera/ pan & tilt on the Cobra jet - very easy to make with existing camera mount (or 3d print one from thingverse) with a couple of servos (180° on pan) and linkages. static.rcgroups.net/forums/attachments/2/7/0/7/6/7/a14066095-10-F7090F8C-D332-4BA2-AE5F-F4FF766FAD44.jpeg
Really love your vids. Working on getting my stuff ready to do some jet fpv this year but I think it's going to be a while before I can hope to produce anything on this level. Is this a recording from the dji au itself'? Looks very clean.
I have not flown using these goggles nor any other analog goggles. So I really can not say if they are good or bad. They might be good entry goggles to get a taste for FPV. But resolution wise, they really don’t come close digital goggles/systems.
My teammate and I fly Mig-29 and F-14 for mock fighting. Can’t do much about 20 mm cannons or tracers (don’t want trouble with the Feds), but we can do laser tag though.
I would love to have working HUD or OSD on goggles. My friend’s rig does have airspeed & altitude numbers. But OSD options on DJI FPV is somewhat limited for now. I do have a reflector Gun sight on my Spitfire that I love! ua-cam.com/video/C88coyfe1nc/v-deo.html Do you have a source for working HUD?
Hey, super nice! How do you relay signal from head tracking gyro to the gimbal- PPM via TX? What hardware used for head racking, I mean gyro to ppm, arduino or separate controller? How do you set up the transmitter? Thank you, I'm enjoying

@@motionsic Thanks. could you please show how you have fixed the Module on the DJI fpv goggles ? i have the exact same setup . it would be really helpful
Sameer My friend 3D printed a HT case that clips onto the metal ring/hardware where the top elastic head band loops through. But you can just Velcro the Trinity Headtracker on top of the goggles. I can send a picture if you use messenger or email...
Fatshark Trinity Headtracker External Module, be forewarned though, the trainer cable it came with develops bad contact over time. Several users I know have similar issues. My HT signal is intermittent now...
Nice video but the music took away from the experience ...I think most RCers would prefer to hear the EDF engine and wind noises of the flight uninterrupted.
Thank you for the feed back! I polled my subscribers a few weeks ago about music or no music. 33% preferred no music. 17% preferred music only. 50% preferred some music mixed in. So I will walk a fine balance with some segments with no music, but majority with music mixed in - by popular demand😄

Nicely done, loved the music! :)
Thanks, Jandro!

W video bro. Amazing shots and amazing music. 10/10
Thanks, cheers!
Checking flaps like in a real jet plane thats cool! Rc stuff is getting better everyday!
Thanks! We also do GUMPS check before landing on downwind...
@@motionsic I dont know what GUMPS check is, but im curious.

That was enjoyable! Thanks for sharing and nice flight. 👍
That was fantastic! Very smooth. Inverted over the runway was excellent!
Thanks SkyBug! Technically, just outside of runway - club safety deadline, can’t be on top of runway except for landings...
It is just awesome !!
Nice and smooth, may have to build something like this to use in place of full scale aerobatics!

I wanted to see how your camera assembly looks like which is mounted on servos for head tracker

Awesome Brother!!! I WANT ONE!!!!😃👍🏻✌🏻🖖🏻
Right on!
I seen where Spectrum has a head tracking goggle set out now. Have you seen this what’s your thoughts on the Fatshark Recon or Scout ?

Very good. But where we all can buy this head tracker ha ha ha...
Wow
You can probably make some mods to make this one work: www.getfpv.com/fat-shark-trinity-head-tracker-module-for-hdo-2.html
Yeah i thinked about it but i dont know from what to start. I dont know pinout of this HT.
Let me know when you figure out how to mount a scaled 20 MM Cannon with tracer rounds on it and some migs to shoot.

How much is the plane setup minus the air unit / video gear?
Wonder do u see as clear as this? Or only the recording shows this clear?
It’s as clear as this in the goggles. DJI FPV is very clear.
Oh wow.. So. I'm just poor huh
Most excellent! Have you tried a dynamic HUD versus the static dash instraments?

great video!! What did you use for pan/tilt? Or how did you mount the DJI camera? Looks like just on servo?

Normally 1 mile on regular RC setup. There are specialized equipment for long range.
