Linkara: “Nimue.”
Nimue: “Online.”
Linkara: “You’re a good Spaceship.”
Nimue: “Confirmed.”
That’s adorable.
SO adorable!!
She is a good ship.
"Amazing how effective an apology, even an insincere one can be isn't it?!"
I see what you did there.
Now if only someone else could.
TroyTroodon what did he do?
He's referring to The Walker Brothers and the rest of The Chicago Team. (possibly Mike McChaud to) You will note that since the recent outings of the miss treatment to other creators that those individuals did not issue a proper apology to anyone.
TroyTroodon ah.
TroyTroodon I mean, I feel like that was just at Mike Michaud and the Walker Brothers. The rest of the Chicago crew had nothing to do with it.
Shout out to Linkara calling Nimue and telling her that she's a good spaceship. It's adorable.
I always love little bits of continuity like that.
Also one more TFS refference. homageing Piccolos "your a good kid" to Gohan after TFS Vegeta reveals that he is a way worse parent then TFS Goku.
my thoughts adorable
(calls my dad who left when i was little but fixed his life up and we keep in contact)
me: hey dad....
dad: yeah mitch?
me: your still a good father
dad: ........ you watching linkara again....
me: yah...
@@Azmodeus87 Vegeta: Sorry, but I don't listen to bastards
That compliment to NIMUE was really adorable.
"Nimue, you're a good ship."
"Confirmed :)"
Okay, that was sweet.
Comic about sentient trunk coming alive.
Linkara remembers he has a heavily armed starship with its own AI...an AI that once tried to kill him.
Linkara gives quick compliment to Nimue.
World Peace.
"Are you real?"
"No, I am just your figment of your imagination."
"But how did you know Wide Load was mindcontr..."
"I said, I'm your figment of imagination."
(*flashes neuralyzer.*)
Okay, at the absolute perfect moment, just after "Oh well, that's the way it goes when you're an inanimate object.", an error message popped up, covering the exact center of the screen and covering Linkara's face. It took me a few seconds to realize it was not part of the episode.
"Huh...amazing how an apology, even an insincere one, can be, isn't it?"
Do I hear elephants in the distance?
Linkara don't let random idiot get your rights lol
"Amazing how effective an apology even an insincere one can be isn't it?" I see what you did there, Awesome wording.
*The Truck is narrating*
Me: Oh, this is going to be a *trip*.
*Ba-dum-tiss!*
*rings the bell* SHAME!!!
"It's not X's fault you're an idiot" would probably work as a retort on a lot of villains. And heroes, come to think of it, given how often characters get angry over things that are their own damn fault.
hmm, so I was thinking if there was a multiverse there has to be a universe where Linkara is a Trucker reviewing trucks...
I would watch that
hoyl700 ...Truckara?
He does interdimensional crossovers with Lampkara.
hoyl700 Maybe he’s also Super Android 13 there.
This is my favorite common Linkra alt skin but personally I think the Mechakara skin is the best. Too bad it's a legendary from premium loot boxes.
I'm partial to 'Pimp-kara the White Zeo Ranger' myself.
The best skin has gotta be 'Possessed by Missingno', the voice lines are the best!
wouldn't mechakara be a pollo alt skin or would that be the robo skeleton from the movie?
It's why I like to call Mechakara 'Pollo-loco'. I'd imagine it'd tick him off.
Feenie "No Huuuuman! This is a game and its one I intend to win!"
IT'S ON TIME!!! WHAT NEW SPORE OF MADNESS IS THIS???
13:47
These little moments of attention are why I like you so much as a writer.
I don't know, being secure in one's identity and not letting others' words hurt you is a pretty good moral.
omg i'm lovin the Frieza bits lol. also this needs to be a meme 9:48
I would love if they had US-1 guest star in GoTG 3 as some space trucker. Or if he had a race with Robbie Reyes Ghost Rider
Coincidently, US-1 is Android 13's favourite comicbook
I've a theory. And this could totally be an arc in the show after the Contest of Champions stuff. Basically the idea would be Vice has returned, and now has his human form reformed due to the properties of his home universe and the properties of the pocket universe. He arrives, and wants to feel for the first time in god knows how long. He removes his helmet, and we see a face identical to Jairus. Linkara asks why Vice looks like Jairus. Vice gasps. "Jairus? Well, if it's the Jairus I think it is, I don't look like him, he looks like his father." End of the episode.
Basically the idea is that the arc would be an origin to Vice. When his planet was taken by the Entity, him and a group of survivors, including his wife, left the planet in a ship. They eventually learned how to hop Universes, and Vice, who had the name, let's say Victor Bolivar(because Simon Bolivar was a freedom fighter that eventually became a dictator, and Victor as in Victor Fries, which will make sense later) led the crew through many adventures to try to fight the Entity and help those along the way. Eventually he had to take control of the ship and become the new leader after his older sister Jairus(let's just say it's like Sam and Alex and applies to all genders) was killed in action. He has a child with his wife, and names him after his sister. However after many incidents, Victor becomes more of an anti-hero, taking over parts of a world to ensure that they will prepare for the Entity as he wishes. However he never mistreats any of the worlds he takes over. That is until one surprise attack by a radical group against Victor launches an attack that kills his wife. Then, he destroys the planet. His best friend eventually sees no choice but to take Victor's child and travel to another universe that Vice still never found. However said best friend died, and Victor, now having no reason to ignore his evils, or his Vices, becomes a Conqueror to ensure things like this never happen again.
>Boots up vid
>Sees outfit
>Split-second, spit-take-like, laughing convulsion
I wonder if Linkara did this episode after he was finished using his combine harvester on his 20 acres.
10:33 - Linkara once again proves that he would be EXCELLENT at Cinemasins!
8:54 Whoa. Whoaaaah I caught that sick burn Linkara, wow. that was pretty awesome
ColonelSanic
Yeah, me too. Just checked all the commentd to see who else did :D
The Truck is a Yokai!
A tsukumogami to be accurate a yokai that inhabits objects
I thought that the truck was the physical manifestation of Archer's stand, 「Eastbound and Down」. I mean, with Archer's body type, surprising intelligence and weird relationship with his mom, he's more or less a trucker version of Jotaro Kujo.
@@mathieuleader8601 (puts on yokai watch) IT'S YO TIME
Lewis that was the funniest review ever. My favorite parts were 4:49 7:58 and the very end. Had me laugh my butt forever. Also the cowboy outfit was just freaking great.
you should've talked like peter Cullen
Gotta love Linkara's use of the TFS Frieza clips to react to US-1's narration!
Your US-1 reviews will always be some of my absolute favorites. Your humor plus this comic's hilariously over the top premise and execution made for some truly golden episodes :) Also, I made a Spirit of 77 character (a tabletop RPG about 70's action movies) named after him, but I made him even MORE over the top by giving him a dancer's outfit based on the US flag, and Bandit Keith's bandanna. He drove a pick-up rather than a semi, but it was amazing! :D
2:43 Introducing Herman the US-1 Truck, cousin to Herbie the Lovebug, and best friends to The General Lee
8:53 I saw that subtle jab at Channel Awesome there, Linkara. Well played. XDD
"THE TRUCK WILL ALWAYS WIN".
...And my first thought was that scene from Man of Steel.
13:59
I am the Highwayman.
I make ends meet, just like any man - I work with my hands.
Saying good ship to Nimune....checking the box off if she ever becomes sentient lol
"You're a good spaceship"... These aren't tears! It's.. uhhh. SHUDDUP!
So many good moments from this episode. Especially the Good Spaceship one, rather heart warming :)
Best moment at 6:03
I had to watch it five times over, I was cracking up so much
Hooray, more U-S #1! Say, I wonder if the Deadpool Team-Up issue with the (renamed) character would count for a review someday. I don't know if it's necessarily bad, but it could fall under the same category as the Deadpool/Brute Force crossover.
0:02 SO disappointed that you didn't open with "Howdy pardners, and welcome to this here Atop the Fourth Wall!"
"I know some people who would pay you to do it"
Never did I expect Linkara to reference BDSM on a review about a trucker comic. You think this Midnight's somehow related to the one from My Hero Academia?
Or hypno-fetishists. Not that I'm one of them.
Was wondering the same thing power is even similar
“Marvel” and “lots of requests for it” either secret empire or civil war
it would have to be civil war 2 at this point. He already did his treatise on Civil War. '15 things wrong with Civil War" if you're interested.
True but he didn’t actualy review the book just some problems with it
DEATH TO MY ENERMYS He’s already made it clear that he’s not doing a regular review of Civil War because it’s too politically charged. That said, I could see him do a review of Civil War 2.
OMIT
Magnus Prime also true but he also did a review of one more day another book he said he wouldn’t review
Ahh US-1, remember when you called it a terrible horrible comic that would be hated and be infamous by all, and now it’s like one of your favorite reviews because it’s almost always pure mockery of how dumb it is.
Also I remember the MC of the book being in an avengers book where he tried to be a babysitter, and failed because he was too broken by the experiences of his own book.
Bad is comparative. If you watch a lot of the older stuff of reviewers who been around for awhile, they have much stronger reactions to things that they would barely react to nowadays.
Holy Terror has showed him the mountain top. And now he wishes to never see it again.
dude, one never sees the true mountain top. one day he will find something that is even worse, and that would just show that he has not even reached the true top of horrible comics. Thats the thing about reviewers, they will allways find something that is much worse than what they in the past called the worse thing to exist.
There is diminishing returns of bad. While there may be something worse, it can't be to much worse, and even then he is better prepared to deal with it.
Watching this after reading the Deadpool comic where US-1 guest-stars makes me winch. Things go bad for poor US after this series. I'd love another sequel comic where things finally pick up for the poor guy. It'd be cool if he could make it back into space. I could totally see him hitting it off with the Guardians of the Galaxy, hauling freight out of Nowhere.
wdcain1 which deadpool comic? There's so many now I've lost count
_Deadpool Team-Up_ #896. It was US-1's reintroduction to to the Marvel universe renamed US-Ace. I recall him showing up in She-Hulk in the early 90s but this was his last appearance it showed things had not gone well for the lad.
#GiveUS-1aNetflixSeries
Remember the time he showed up (alongside half the Marvel universe) to answer the ad for a babysitter for Luke and Jessica's kid??

+Twilight Man So Beverly and Howard the Duck broke up? I noticed she mentioned their relationship in past tense.
That apology bit, though! Made me 'HA!' right into my office computer screen.
I've been binging this show for the past few weeks and I fell in love with the U.S-1 reviews and to see the new episode being this, I could not be happier.
"Gohan, you're a good kid"
"thanks Mr. Piccolo"
I'll get my revenge soon enough, I CUT MY OWN BRAKE LINES!
7:14
a) Holy shit, those are some big money bills
b) With the way this issue has been going, I'm pretty sure the money is the one saying "Thanks, U.S.!"
I still remember when ya uploaded the first ep on Us 1. Second video I saw of yours! Glad to be with ya all these years.
Maybe the truck is a transformer, just stuck in alt mode and unable to communicate, and inhibited by the remote control, with the whipping of the controller causing the grip the controls have over it’s vehicle mode temporarily lessen, temporarily allowing it to regain its faculties! Or maybe I’m just talking out of my tailpipe to try to make sense of a stupid comic plot.
...Now I'm imagining a crossover with Transformers and U.S.-1 gives their life to save his friends and Optimus detects the spark of life within and then makes them a Transformer.
I'm just gonna say it: Midnight is totally the inspiration for My Hero Academia's Midnight character.
I'm only halfway through the episode and I'm pretty sure that I've never laughed so much during At4W.
I knew this issue would be an interesting one to cover. This is the first (and so far only) series that I picked up so I could read along with the reviews. Worth every penny. At the current rate we'll hit the end just before episode 1000.
8:56 - well played, sir 😉
YESS, good ol' US-1. Great episode, dude.
I've been watching you since the very first episode. Keep up the good work. 👍
“Oh well. That’s the way it goes when you’re an inanimate object.”
I still laugh at that even without Lewis’s reaction to it.
Greyhound’s best known advertisement catch phrase is, “Take the Greyhound Bus, and leave the driving to us.” I think that’s the gag.
I SWEAR I thought Karen Austin from Night Court was the waitress who kept shouting "We made you" hysterically in Maximum Overdrive.
Yay, the classic "I AM A MAN" gag
Great to see this come back
You know, I feel like this entire episode could have been made up of the truck's dialogue and frieza's reactions.
Ok when did Bob the Builder become a trucker?!
Turn your CB radios and hop in your cabs folks. This going to be a fun one.
So it's Marvel and highly requested? PLEASE TELL ME IT'S NOT A CONTINUATION OF MARVILLE!!!!!
With you there. Even with Linkara's jokes as a filter, those things melt my brain.
Chris Highwind
I hope not, but it was the first thing I thought of as worst case scenario.
maybe its trouble
I'm guessing America or Iceman.
He's already reviewing Trouble - how more terrible can you go?
… I literally just opened this video and the outfit surprised me. Somehow, it shouldn't have.
Ah, US-1!
The comic about the crazy stories of a trucker with a cybernetic type skull.
#TruckerTime
THAT OneAhole holy crap i legit thought you were brandon tenold for a second
+Mariofan 1985
Who's to say that i'm not?
Another account to use?
@@thatonea-hole ...ARE you?
6:55 Wow! I broke into my first ever Linkara-caused giggle fit at that joke! And I'm sick. My throat is so sore now! XD
Greyhound used to have an ad that said, " sit back and relax and leave the driving to us." Obviously, the joke was in relation to that.
Yaaay, more US-1 lunacy! These comics pretty much define "so bad it's good." :) Though yes, having the truck suddenly be alive and intelligent is a very weird plot twist -- and one that isn't even followed up on? Aww. :( But it's always nice to see the ridiculous hypno-whip return. And I think my favorite moment was you telling Nimue she's a good spaceship. :) Sapient machines are never just machines in your book, huh?
Nice to see that we're back to the wacky adventures of everyone's truckin' hero that is NOT Optimus Prime. (4:27- I still stand by my statement)
3:32- Yeah, the Nostalgia Critic hates those brand of Hot Wheels because, and I quote, "You move a centimeter, then another centimeter, and then throw the goddamn thing away."
4:48- I'm now interested in a comic called US-1 vs. Cadillacula.
5:24- Or something like The Brave Little Toaster, where household appliances come to life when no one's around; pretty much the same thing.
7:05 & 9:21- ...I'm getting the feeling that either this comic was written by someone who was on drugs, or this WHOLE COMIC is on drugs.
8:02- That's what I keep saying about Trump, and he is already colored orange.
Someone really needs to make a action comedy movie with the concept of US-1.
9:15: the funniest usage of the cyberman clip in the entire show's history
6:56 Interestingly that joke only really works for cars.
If you cut the brake lines of a truck like that, the parking brakes will lock up & you won't be able to go anywhere. "The more you know" :P
My gosh, I love this series.
Yes! A classic series for AT4W.
Teasing for the 600th episode spectacular already (even only as a potentiality)? That's some impressive laying of the groundwork.
After getting attacked by a sentient truck, Midnight decided that living as a super-villain was not a really good idea. She changed sides, moved to japan, became a superhero and even teached at the UA high school.
US-1 The Movie
Starring Sam Elliot as US-1
Future me, the adorable moment you're looking for is at 13:44
Yep leaving 73 episodes unwatched is a great idea now i have something to binge.
7:57 he look, larfleeze has reternd.
DEER GOD, HIDE THE CHINES RESTAURANTS
Happy 10 years, Linkara!
Anyone else notice Midnight in this comic looks like Midnight from My Hero Academia? Whip, same mask, long dark hair, sexy outfit.
I've spent a good portion of my early life in the sleeper cab of a tracker trailer driven by my dad, so I'm pretty familiar with trucker lifestyle & can't help but enjoy US-1! Pity my late father (he ironically died in car accident with a semi truck while he was riding in a work vehicle in 2009), I think he'd enjoy it!
The truck's conscientiousness makes perfect sense in the context of Warhammer 40k. Machine Spirits and whatnot.
Its awesome we all like US1 so much that we watch this in the opposite way of Youngblood. As a cult classic (yes some people like Youngblood like that) But we watch US1 with the show, I believe its one of the most special AT4W things and its evolution.
*Sheriff Lyle Wallace:* I am the law. Don't you understand, I represent the law.
*Rubber Duck:* Well piss on ya, & piss on your law.
Out of all the US1 issues reviewed on this channel, I think that this one MIGHT be my favorite, if only because I think that it's HANDS DOWN the most INSANE!!! Oh sure, the issues after this are crazy too, however you could just chalk that up to standard superhero fair. Villains returning, identities reveal, drama about paying off the Short Stop, it's all fun stuff, but nothing, and I mean NOTHING can top the fact that US1's semi is secretly ALIVE!!! The only thing that would've made it better is if the truck HAD narrated the rest of the series!!!
it's actually amazing how natural the trucker accent comes for you XD
Holy s**t this videos is on time
I'm assuming this series ends with U.S and U.S1 falling in love?
"A guy can love his truck all he wants." "No he can't!" *CIVIL WAR 3*
+LordManda2 what?
It's a meme, don't think too hard about it.
+LordManda2 I know.I just don't why you put Civil War 3 and you didn't even put Iron Man or Capt.America
I told you to not think so hard about it. If you overthink everything, no meme will be funny! :P
0:34 ..................So either it was Original Sin, Secret Wars 2015, Secret Empire, or Civil War II or something Spider-Man related (best guess being Superior Spider-Man or Joe Kelly's Spider-Man/Deadpool run)
That ending scene though!
"Where's my trucker hat?!"-android 13
That does it. I need a US-1 TV show in my life.
I never thought you could ask such existential questions with a truck.
I still hope we'll get a US-1 trade collection some day~
Linkara: (as hypnotized Wide Load) I guess I should sleep now. Honk shoo honk shoo. Z Z Z Z Z.
I love that part.
