That why I always pick Wild Wasteland as one of my perks in New Vegas.
All the names in US-1 remind me of a running gag the Nickelodeon show iCarly had. All of Spencer's friends had pun names related to their work. His best friend (never seen in person on the show, just referred to often) was Socko, and he sold light up socks. His uncle was Auto, a car salesman. Socko's cousin was Rob, he helped Spencer steal back their couch after the apartment was broken into. His brothers were Taylor, he made Spencer a tux, and Tyler who made ties. His other cousin was Boomer, who had explosives for some reason. Another cousin named Bernie, a professional welder... the list goes on xD
I like when Linkara is like this, he knows he's about to review a bad comic, but he knows its bad for the right reasons, and that makes it awesome.
I would read a US 1/Brute Force crossover (w/ special cameos from Deadpool and Howard the Duck)
Don't forget Squirrel Girl. Tbh, it actual would be kind of amazing if these characters were all put together into a superhero team book.
I swear, the more i see these characters, the more i think this is part of the Phoenix Wright universe, if only for the very pun prone names

To be fair it is kind of hard to top a trucker alien so a story that is more down to earth is fine by me. Also you know what would be insanely awesome. US 1 driving down the highway with two members of Brute Force in there vehicle forms driving along side of him on both sides with Howard the Duck riding shot gut and Deadpool fighting off a bunch of cyborg ninjas on top of the trailer. It would be insane even by comic book standers.
ThatGuyWithTheTripod and then neutro starts riding us1's truck like a skate board and finally bruteforce and the truck combine with neutro!!!
Don't forget to throw in Snowflame.
Phil's name is a double pun. "Filigreed" means covered in gold, doesn't it? ... ugh. US-1, am I right?

Not exactly, a filigree is an "ornamental work of fine (typically gold or silver) wire formed into delicate tracery." The word you're looking for is "gilded".
My reaction to Legreed calling rapscallions was the exact same as Linkara's, and when I said it it was at the exact same moment that he did. Timing!
From one comic about a psychopathic old lady to another, next week is going to be fun.
I'm starting to think Wide Load is some retired superhero. She's a relatively large woman, regularly participates in bar fights, can toss a grown man out of a window, and wields a wrench against bikers!
Are we sure she needed help on that race?
I would actually kind of like to see her in Gladstone's School for World Conquerors. A retired hero, that helps on the side, but otherwise, doesn't get into the craziness these new heroes and villains get into.
No wonder the Marvel Universe needs Super Heroes...these cops suck at their jobs!
You got the NY city cops who are either on Kingpin's payroll, inept and a handful who do a good job before they get killed or dropped of the radar and you got those yokels!
Then you got the competent ones who (bless them) are TRYING to help, but usually end up outmatched.

This episode got me thinking, did George Miller read US-1? It seems that because how else do you explain Fury Road?
I can't wait for the issue where US-1 has to fight a cruel tyrant that controls his subjects by withholding water, uses breast milk to supplement his control of his people, forcibly impregnates his wives, launches an insane crusade to recover said wives and US-1 gets captured, his blood taken, forced onto the front of a car and ends up teaming up with Charlize Theron with a shaved head AKA the ultimate waifu!

When I first saw you in your cowboy outfit, I think to myself out loud saying... You know what, I'm not going to question it. It's mainly because I didn't even watch your previous US-1 reviews. I just came here because of the story arc. So I decide to watch the whole review of it, and then watch the previous. Sorry that I never watch your show that often. But I did watch a couple episodes. Again, you did a really great job with your series. X3

It is worth noting that the "truckers are cool!" phase the US went through was for several years in the 70s. By the early 80s when these comics were made it was long since over, pretty much like what happened with disco. It would be like them coming out today with a comic that revolves around how cool MySpace is.
You know, I'm kinda surprised he's never done one of the old Disney comics. Sure they're more of strips that pull together a story, but they were still pretty good, with the occasional stupidity. Plus it introduced the best disney villain ever.
We need to petition for a US 1/Brute Force ongoing series!

Am I the only one who kinda like that Linkara made a reference to the phrase 'Jobber'? Must be the pro wrestling fan in me? This is the first video I've seen of US-1 and, while it kinda sucks for U-S that LeGreed had to collect on the mortgage, he was just doing his job and didn't deserve to get beaten up, thrown through a window and then nearly run down by a 20 or so tonne 18 wheeler!
Interestingly despite being uploaded in July, this episode was posted on the month AND day of my birth.

TRUCKERS ON MOTORCYCLES
Not long ago, I mentioned how several Channel Awesome reviewers have become members of the Crewniverse (the Steven Universe fandom.)
Among them are the Walker Bros., ERod and (I think) Linkara. If that IS the case, I would make a suggestion that Linkara and crew add a collection of Laser Light Cannons to Comicron 1's arsenal.
Just hope he remembers the password to activate them

Its frankly absurd that they are allowed to make claims on music used in reviews, all other considerations aside its free advertising for them. I have been introduced to several bands because of your end credits. Also Eastbound and Down is indeed an awesome song. As is Cannonball.

I must say, for a comic series that involves, a truck driving protagonist with a metal plate in his head that allows him to pick up C.B. radio transmissions, it's interesting to see how this story "switches gears" (man I love these trucker puns) to focus on the real-life consequences of the Short Stop gang. It's just a pity that it has such an average villain. All and all, this is pretty "middle of the road".
I give issue 6, 3 motorcycles. 🏍🏍🏍

I thinkl I finally understand the reason why US-1 Has such bizarre stories. They wanted people to not just think about actual trucker things when playing with the toy, instead htey wanted them to think about stuff like blimps full of chicken.

Wouldn't be the crazies thing in this comic to include a crossover from a game that hasn't been made yet.

Wide Load seems, frankly, unhinged!
3 minutes in and I already went from wantng US-Ace in agents of sheild, to wanting a US-Ace tv series.
For me personally wide load was the most unlikable character I have seen in awhile. IDK why it was just everything she did just rubbed me the wrong way. Like I could have liked her if say the Legreed character was actually shown to be a totally asshole who had everything coming to him. Yet instead we just see him being thrown out of a window and for all we know he just went in and told them their payment is late which sent her into a rage and was why she threw him out the window which would just make her seem like a utter unhinged bitch. Then you have her actually trying to legit kill the man which also could have caused another death as Tread is thrown out of the truck and could have easily been crushed to death. Yet she shows zero remorse for any of it and instead wants to turn around a try it again. And then when he doesn't know about taking that specific job she say's yes for him. Kind of hope the whip takes control of her for good that way she can just be a villain that I supposed to hate. Instead of the comic thinking we should be rooting for her being a crazy bloodthirsty old bat.
I... don't have much, if any, sympathy for Wide Load.
US helping Wideload with the remote would have been okay if he did it cause her driving reflexes aren't as sharp due age and/or out of practice due to running a diner, though I would have him only use it to help even the odds with him noting Wideload is experienced & that he only helped her a little bit! Still Linkara's right that they should have just let her win without any assistance from US! Having Wideload win would also allow the book to focus more on her which to me is a good idea as they could have used it to expand on her character before she falls under the control of Midnight!

I don't believe that a motorcycle helmet, particularly ones from the time period, even with the visor down, would protect you from tear gas to the face, given that even modern helmets aren't exactly airtight and don't have filter equipped ventilation slits.

Hey Linkara, i have a question. Not sure if you have answered it in a video before, but i decided to ask just in case!
I have been looking into getting into comics for awhile now, And i was drawn to the marvel online store for them (i'm more of a marvel guy myself). Have you read any of the ''all-new, all marvel'' comics? What is your opinion on them, and do you recomend anything?
Also, are there any other marvel comics that have come out in say, a year or two that you recomend? I prefer to start mo in depth venture into comic books with something modern.
The best stuff coming out of All-New All-Different Marvel are, hands down, Doctor Strange and Daredevil. Squadron Supreme is also a pretty fun read.
