That's why I don't understand when people say Sukuna is the strongest person in JJK. Not only did he have critical information about Gojo (for example, knowing you are immune from his domain by touching him), but he had Shikigami help AND he used Mahoraga as a basis for the world cutting slash. Now yes, Sukuna didn't use all of his powers because he was focused on his plan. That much, I agree with. But it's the simple fact that Sukuna had all these advantages, and he STILL got knocked unconscious. Gojo went in the fight not even knowing Sukuna's domain was open barrier.

I think some people were surprised to hear Sukuna has over twice Yuta's energy reserve because we've been underestimating the amount of cursed energy one finger holds. A Finger Bearer is so destructive despite its attacks being basically just raw cursed energy with no technique. Characters can be around the same level overall but not have as much raw energy reserve, such as Kechizu and Eso, and even Choso might not have more than 1 Finger. Inversely, Sukuna with the same amount of cursed energy would still utterly wreck a finger bearer thanks to technique, efficiency, intelligence, physique, etc. Even a genius of a curse like Shibuya Mahito might only cap at less than 2 and a half fingers, and it's still enough for 2 upper Grade 1 Level sorcerers to completely forget about tiring him out.
I think for finger bearers, the finger just serves as a perpetual cursed energy battery that powers it, lending SOME of its cursed energy to the cursed spirit that ingested it, but not all of it. But an actual incarnation of a one-finger Sukuna is far more powerful than a finger bearer because it can utilize the fingers full worth of power. Within compatible vessels like Itadori or Megumi, the finger and its cursed energy and soul information get fully digested and become one with the vessel. As for finger bearer curses, we saw that when Sukuna cut up the finger bearer, the finger was unaffected, likely because cursed spirits are not compatible vessels for Sukuna, thus they don't get absorbed, it just remains within their body as a power supply or a battery if you will, but Sukuna's curse doesn't incarnate or get absorbed within them. That's why Gojo proposed Yuji as the solution to get rid of Sukuna's fingers. By Yuji eating all the indestructible fingers, they cease to exist, and the curse that is within them gets fully absorbed. After the vessel dies, so will the curse that inhabits it, there won't be any fingers.

@@javierleduc9628 probably a typo, but it was Jogo who Kenjaku called "around 8-9 fingers being generous", but that's really up in the air since it'd put his reserve on par with Yuta when it's never narratively shown as such. All we know is it's higher than 3 but lower than 8, taking the average it's within the 4-6 range. Jogo never said Mahito was the strongest, he called him the leader because he had the greatest potential out of all the disaster curses. And while his physical abilities arefar higher than Jogo's, doesn't necessarily mean he has more cursed energy.
we still have to credit gojo for actually making sukuna happy, if we look at the panels of sukuna from the heian era, he looks depressed and just tired of life, if we look at him in his fight with gojo, we can see that sukuna is excited, also gojo actually sending fear into sukuna for the 1st time in 1000 years, raises two question, 1. who was the first person to send fear into sukuna and 2. after sukuna killed his opponents, did he eat them to gain more power?
Well Sukuna said he was an unwanted child, and his CT is very simple and seems weak by itself. Compared to Kashimo who's always seemed strong, Sukuna was probably born a bit like Gojo. A being that brought fear to others, but not enough to shift the balance of the world. So he probably had a few strong opponents as he grew up

Gojo already reached the pinnacle of Jujutsu Sorcery, or at least that was the consensus until he got bisected, Sukuna constantly strives to learn more and more. Sukuna wanted to upgrade his technique which is what he did in that encounter with Gojo.

If Heian Sukuna fought Gojo, Gojo would have died in their domain clashes as the only reason Sukuna was being so risky was because he wanted to adapt and improve his dismantle. If not, Sukuna would have likely just won every domain expansion clash if we assumed the fight would follow a similar format which isn't too likely as Sukuna always had adaptation on his mind from the very beginning

My fear is that he fought gojo not because he wanted to surpass his infinite but because he wanted Mahoraga's ability to adapt instantly to almost any phenomena meaning he is one step closer to obtaining godhood. Meaning him upgrading his slash attacks is just a byproduct of what he wanted to do, not only that but when he met Megumi he wasn't originally after Mahoraga which means he still knows something about Megumi's technique that doesn't involve Mahoraga.
Not really, once he transformed into his heian era form the 10 shadows technique was wiped out of his arsenal, making it impossibile for him to use mahoraga. And even if that was his goal it's not like he could've achieved it, because mahoraga got obliterated by the last hollow purple gojo used.

Another thing to point out is that current sukuna is still missing one finger. Sukuna said that eating his mummified body would make up for that last finger in STRENGTH, meaning that he is currently at 20 fingers of his strength, however, considering thaf Mahito measured the power of yuji, todo, and himself based on the percentage of their souls, Sukuna still missing that last finger (1/20 of his soul) must be important to his power in someway.
I was gonna argue that Strength = Soul but Todo had Raw strength and was physically above average and he still couldn't do damage or hurt Mahito's Soul in any way or form. It probably isn't that big of a deal because Sukuna is already basically in his Full form and 100% power 🤷🏻♂️🥱
It's a testament to Gojo that he faced off against an amped maharoga and agito being that sukuna's cursed energy amps up ten shadows. I never considered that but revisiting nue against maki made me think those aren't just any regular 10s shikigami.
You are right, but I have a doubt about how stronge were the 3 great vengeful spirits cause in sukuna time it was just rements of his clan. This is due to fact that Rika being a vengeful spirit cursed by one of suguwara clan descendent turned out to be 2 strongest cursed/shikigami then what the real one had in power.
The fight between Gojo and Sukuna was actually a complete groundbreaking fight in terms of what cursed energy can do, which is actually crazy if you think about it since jujutsu has been developing for thousands of years.
great vid but sukuna is at 19 fingers and ate his old body for cursed energy, his soul is still incomplete because there still is a finger out there, imo sukuna isn’t at max but def a good 95%-99% depending how important you think a complete soul is, considering the story focuses heavily on souls imma say he’s not 100% but very very close to it

Remember the narrator said Sukuna's form is a massive advantage COMPARED TO ANY jujutsu sorcerer. Which means domains, six eyes, or anything u can come up with. This proves Sukuna as the strongest and we STILL have not yet seen his CT's full capability and we only seen two functions of it.
At least you can still speculate about the Innate Curse Technique of the King of Curses. Among the theories that have emerged, one of the most interesting is that Sukuna's Innate Curse Technique is actually Domain Expansion which he himself has just like Higuruma. Sukuna uses the Malevolent Shrine for 'cooking and eating' which consumes the curse energy and soul of a curse users or sorceress in order to store and use his prey's Innate Curse Technique! 😲 The Malevolent Shrine could also be an additional clue to how he managed to get the ritual tattoo attached to his body (and soul). I'm pretty sure that the tattoo ritual is a cursed item similar to the Six Eyes, it should only be able to be used by certain sorcerers who come from special clan bloodlines.

7:27 Idk if this is the manga interpretation but in the animation the curse didn’t listen to Sekuna. It only listened more so it was surprised that sekuna is not taking it as a threat. It didn’t go after megumi because of the fear of his power, but the special grade was angry that Sekuna was telling him what to do and not taking him seriously so he attacked. That’s what i understood from the show, it’s interesting seeing another interpretation but correct me if I’m wrong

That doesn’t mean he needed Mahoraga to beat gojo. Get some critical thinking skills kid. Those aren’t mutually exclusive. We flat out saw sukuna very well could’ve killed gojo in the domain clashes. And the only reason gojo made it past them is because sukuna got brain damage from the one UV, which gojo barely managed to scrape off first by 0.01 seconds. Meaning had he not been hit with that one he would’ve ended up winning the fight and ending gojo right after the 5th clash. And he only got hit by that UV as a direct result of his choice to intentionally turn off DA, and tank more damage than he had to in favor of gaining progress for the adaption. (DA was stated to reduce the damage he took from attacks) Meanwhile at the same time gojo was taking his 3 minute time window to do as much damage as possible. Both of those things in combination led to gojo just BARELY being able to get UV off first by 0.01 seconds. Meaning had sukuna taken slightly less damage, from changing what he did in anyway, or by simply keeping DA on the entire time. Then he wouldn’t have ended up being delayed enough or at all, and gojo would never have hit him with UV. Meaning it would end by default with sukuna winning after the 5th clash. On top of all that during the first and second times he hit gojo with MS. He had the option to use other CTs and they would’ve hit gojo and did near fatal or fatal damage. Given he was only able to survive those by running rct at maximum output and just barely matching the damage. While also using simple domains and falling blossom to buy time. And we know during this time he could’ve used other CTs, and they would’ve hit because it was stated much earlier in the manga that the sure hit effect of a domain. APPLIES TO ANY CT a sorcerer uses in their domain as well as the 120% buff not just the automatic imbued attack of the domain. So he could’ve used black box cts like the fire arrow or whatever else he has and they would’ve been guaranteed to hit. This was all explained I believe in chapter 15 but u can literally just google it to make sure. On top of this infinity was down during those times due to gojo’s ct being burnt out. So either way he could’ve hit him with other CTs during those times. He flat out explained the reason why he didn’t do this in the manga as well. Sukuna flat out said the reason he didn’t use other CTs is because since he was constantly using 10s for the adaption process he couldn’t use anything else except that and his domain. It’s been made abundantly clear at this point lil bro. Sukuna was just using Mahoraga because it was something incredibly rare he hasn’t had the opportunity to use before, in incredibly rare circumstances which he may never get the chance to capitalize on, and it would give him a massive upgrade which he has never seen before, and may never get the chance to acquire again. His priority was to use Mahoraga to gain an upgrade for those reasons, and it’s completely in his character as well. He didn’t need Mahoraga to kill gojo but for those reasons above, and this netting him an easy delete button for any future infinity users it was worth it to use him. HEAIN ERA SUKUNA FOLDS GOJO EASILY 1. Chants boost C&D to 120% which means stronger surehit for MS thus breaking UV before 3min 9s. If chants boost C&D then by default C&D in MS would be stronger as MS would grant this boosted C&D a surehit effect( chants boost CT/surehit( surehit=CT), not strenght of the barrier the domain made). 2. If sukuna cancel out gojo surehit then use Fire arrow, he would break UV on the inside( mahoraga did it with pure physical strength in Chap 229) and it wouldn't last the 3min 9s. Confirming what gojo said about breaking his from the inside. 3. Chap 228 Gojo inner thoughts basically let us know he only destroyed MS within 3min 9s cuz sukuna purposely took the riskier/ longer option and if sukuna didn't gojo wouldn't break MS in 3min 9s. 4. Chap 230 let us know sukuna turn off DA on purpose so he was purposefully taking damage. If it was heian sukuna with no 10s, he would never turn off DA and with stronger physical stats, he would tank all damage which means gojo wouldn't be able to break MS within 3min 9s by hurting sukuna within the domain. 5. Gojo can't dodge C&D. 1. Chap 224 shows us gojo wasn't able to dodge or react to C&D despite been distance away from sukuna, bro was so surprized to see the building cut behind him. 2. Chap 234 Despite facing mahoraga direction he couldn't predict, dodge or react to the slash. 6. Heian sukuna with DA would tank all of gojo attacks( blue punch, purple, red etc) and why? cuz heain sukuna scale to his dismantle which comes from his better base(true form) & his CE reinforcement together as sukuna speed, defence, strenght scale together cuz there from CE reinforcement not a CT like gojo or kashimo. Also heian era sukuna is not winning ALL the clashes. Nothing to suggest that he does when he lost half of it inside megumi’s body. Chants don’t mean his domain gets that much stronger. He was pretty much doing the same thing with the binding vows. Btw gojo can both use the binding vows and the chants so it’s not like sukuna has sole access to that. As for the slash we see that kashimo could still dodge it which means that gojo was most likely caught off guard with it. Sure it’s an instant win con for sukuna but that’s if he lands it. You should understand the reason he lost was because he couldn’t weave the sign in time, due to healing his wounds Gojo inflicted, but in his hein form he’s always doing the seal. And assuming their final domain was another stalemate, Sukuna would’ve launched another domain and Gojo wouldn’t be able to defend it causing him to lose the fight. That’s if Sukuna had fought in his original form.

Gojo is likely not the strongest opponent that Sukuna has fought. He said “I’ll never forget you as long as I live” but not “your my strongest rival” or sumn. It’s not surprising considering there were others with 6 eyes and limitless in the past, and the Heian era was known for its sorcery competence.
I understand the basis behind this, but you can’t really comment on Yutas strength cause of what happened. Since he was trying not to go full power and kill his opponents. He wanted to win without resorting to murder. Basically another way to test his own limits

OG Sukuna (w/o Infinity bypass) > Gojo. Gojo almost died to Meguna during their DE clashes, especially the last one. Literally the only reason Gojo’s DE hit was because of that 0.01s Gojo gained because Sukuna had to heal himself and then cast his DE. Sukuna wouldve faired better in hand to hand and by the time the fifth clash happens, Sukuna wouldve been burnt out. The fact that Meguna even pushed Gojo that far says enough. “Gojo wouldve handled it differently” how differently? The fight wouldve always lead to DE clash, which Sukuna was CLEARLY BETTER. Again, only reason Gojo stood a chance was because of his slight edge in hand to hand, which again, lowballing Sukuna, wouldve basically made it harder for Gojo to even meet his requirements to destroy Sukuna’s DE. Yall cannot use “Sukuna cant get through Gojo’s Infinity” because he could definitely do it through DE clashes. Sukuna is just better in Jujutsu and the sad reality is that for Gojo, he wouldnt last long enough. It was a battle of attrition for him during those DE clashes. Realistically if Gojo didn't have infinity he would've probably been one shot by a fire arrow ngl... Unless Gojo's reverse cursed technique is even better than the tanky and adaptation maho has. This. Gojo was the comfort excuse to write off Sukuna and he fucked up. With this much power, there is no way to write it off Sukuna entirely. Dude could slash the space of the world itself, adaptation with Maharaga's wheel, hax with 10 shadows to heal and nullify cursed techniques if he's not able to do it himself, etc. There is no way to end the series perfectly anymore other than using the speculated binding vow penalty on him. Any other methods to write off Sukuna will be seen as an asspull and fucked up the series, but oh well the series is filled with asspull anyway so I'm not being surprised if that happened lmao.

Because 80% of your power as a sorcerer is your technique supposedly. Yuji was already arguably a special grade so if he receives a technique equal to Sukuna or Gojo then it's not completely impossible for him to kill Sukuna with the backup of other sorcerers especially now that Sukuna is weakened.

This is what i've been talking about for a while when people say Gojo was stornger than Sukuna. He could have at any point just recovered all of his curse energy & kill Gojo off even without the help of Mahoraga. Just from the sure hit effect of his domain expansion. Gojo literally had no answer for this after exhausting all of his cursed energy Sekuna instead chose not to & instead use everything else at his disposal to fight Gojo & win which makes Gojo's remark after he died talking to his friend make much more sense. I do not think Jogo is overestimated by kenjaku, but it's Sukuna's proficiency with jujutsu that creates an immense gap. Like how even as one finger nothing is going to stop sukuna from using fuga(open), rct or a open domain that's more refined than others just lower power. The power Sukuna holds may be lower but his mind and knowledge doesn't change and it is an important factor that makes him the strongest. If that truly was the case then, during the 2nd domain expansion ( when sukuna specifically turned off his surehit in the middle of the domain) he had to hold on to gojo during that time frame to prevent being hit by IV. Which means, that MS's surehit was indeed protecting Sukuna's soul. Based on this, I assume the transferring the hit to megumi, was sukuna's manipulation of his surehit once more to complete his mahoraga adaption plan. Or that sukuna's sure hit still protects his soul, but excludes megumi specifically in order to have megumi bear the burden of adaption. Sukuna live for 1000+ years and fought countless sorcerers on the peak era of jujutsu while Gojo is 29 years old that only been contested by a super human zero curse energy sorcerer killer in his whole life. That's the major difference between the two. Gojo is still just a toddler compare to a full grown Sukuna. You remember how the world try to balance things out. When sukuna live the sorcerers were probably been forced to become much stronger to compensate the strength of sukuna. And as we know sukuna he probably gain something new while adapting on their fights. Gojo have that same potential to. Curses are forced to become stronger just to compensate for his strength. The birth of mahito, jogo, dagon and hanami is a proof to that. Give Gojo another decade or two and he will definitely refine his CT even more by fighting curses that are probably stronger than the curses ive mentioned. If sukuna fought Gojo on the age of someone like kashimo, that would been a different kind of fight.

I think some people were surprised to hear Sukuna has over twice Yuta's energy reserve because we've been underestimating the amount of cursed energy one finger holds. A Finger Bearer is so destructive despite its attacks being basically just raw cursed energy with no technique. Characters can be around the same level overall but not have as much raw energy reserve, such as Kechizu and Eso, and even Choso might not have more than 1 Finger. Inversely, Sukuna with the same amount of cursed energy would still utterly wreck a finger bearer thanks to technique, efficiency, intelligence, physique, etc. Even a genius of a curse like Shibuya Mahito might only cap at less than 2 and a half fingers, and it's still enough for 2 upper Grade 1 Level sorcerers to completely forget about tiring him out.
I think for finger bearers, the finger just serves as a perpetual cursed energy battery that powers it, lending SOME of its cursed energy to the cursed spirit that ingested it, but not all of it.
But an actual incarnation of a one-finger Sukuna is far more powerful than a finger bearer because it can utilize the fingers full worth of power. Within compatible vessels like Itadori or Megumi, the finger and its cursed energy and soul information get fully digested and become one with the vessel.
As for finger bearer curses, we saw that when Sukuna cut up the finger bearer, the finger was unaffected, likely because cursed spirits are not compatible vessels for Sukuna, thus they don't get absorbed, it just remains within their body as a power supply or a battery if you will, but Sukuna's curse doesn't incarnate or get absorbed within them.
That's why Gojo proposed Yuji as the solution to get rid of Sukuna's fingers. By Yuji eating all the indestructible fingers, they cease to exist, and the curse that is within them gets fully absorbed. After the vessel dies, so will the curse that inhabits it, there won't be any fingers.

All we know is it's higher than 3 but lower than 8, taking the average it's within the 4-6 range.
Jogo never said Mahito was the strongest, he called him the leader because he had the greatest potential out of all the disaster curses. And while his physical abilities arefar higher than Jogo's, doesn't necessarily mean he has more cursed energy.

If Heian Sukuna fought Gojo, Gojo would have died in their domain clashes as the only reason Sukuna was being so risky was because he wanted to adapt and improve his dismantle. My fear is that he fought gojo not because he wanted to surpass his infinite but because he wanted Mahoraga's ability to adapt instantly to almost any phenomena meaning he is one step closer to obtaining godhood. Meaning him upgrading his slash attacks is just a byproduct of what he wanted to do, not only that but when he met Megumi he wasn't originally after Mahoraga which means he still knows something about Megumi's technique that doesn't involve Mahoraga.

Idk if this is the manga interpretation but in the animation the curse didn’t listen to Sekuna. It only listened more so it was surprised that sekuna is not taking it as a threat.
It didn’t go after megumi because of the fear of his power, but the special grade was angry that Sekuna was telling him what to do and not taking him seriously so he attacked.

We flat out saw sukuna very well could’ve killed gojo in the domain clashes. And the only reason gojo made it past them is because sukuna got brain damage from the one UV, which gojo barely managed to scrape off first by 0.01 seconds. Meaning had he not been hit with that one he would’ve ended up winning the fight and ending gojo right after the 5th clash.
And he only got hit by that UV as a direct result of his choice to intentionally turn off DA, and tank more damage than he had to in favor of gaining progress for the adaption. (DA was stated to reduce the damage he took from attacks)
Meanwhile at the same time gojo was taking his 3 minute time window to do as much damage as possible.
Both of those things in combination led to gojo just BARELY being able to get UV off first by 0.01 seconds. Meaning had sukuna taken slightly less damage, from changing what he did in anyway, or by simply keeping DA on the entire time. Then he wouldn’t have ended up being delayed enough or at all, and gojo would never have hit him with UV. Meaning it would end by default with sukuna winning after the 5th clash.
On top of all that during the first and second times he hit gojo with MS. He had the option to use other CTs and they would’ve hit gojo and did near fatal or fatal damage. Given he was only able to survive those by running rct at maximum output and just barely matching the damage. While also using simple domains and falling blossom to buy time.
And we know during this time he could’ve used other CTs, and they would’ve hit because it was stated much earlier in the manga that the sure hit effect of a domain. APPLIES TO ANY CT a sorcerer uses in their domain as well as the 120% buff not just the automatic imbued attack of the domain. So he could’ve used black box cts like the fire arrow or whatever else he has and they would’ve been guaranteed to hit.
This was all explained I believe in chapter 15 but u can literally just google it to make sure.
On top of this infinity was down during those times due to gojo’s ct being burnt out. So either way he could’ve hit him with other CTs during those times.
He flat out explained the reason why he didn’t do this in the manga as well. Sukuna flat out said the reason he didn’t use other CTs is because since he was constantly using 10s for the adaption process he couldn’t use anything else except that and his domain.
It’s been made abundantly clear at this point lil bro. Sukuna was just using Mahoraga because it was something incredibly rare he hasn’t had the opportunity to use before, in incredibly rare circumstances which he may never get the chance to capitalize on, and it would give him a massive upgrade which he has never seen before, and may never get the chance to acquire again. His priority was to use Mahoraga to gain an upgrade for those reasons, and it’s completely in his character as well.
He didn’t need Mahoraga to kill gojo but for those reasons above, and this netting him an easy delete button for any future infinity users it was worth it to use him. Especially given he was completely confident it was going to end favorably for him the entire time. With only getting nervous or uneasy at the end of the fight. While still holding onto his og form in his back pocket.

1. Chants boost C&D to 120% which means stronger surehit for MS thus breaking UV before 3min 9s. If chants boost C&D then by default C&D in MS would be stronger as MS would grant this boosted C&D a surehit effect( chants boost CT/surehit( surehit=CT), not strenght of the barrier the domain made).
2. If sukuna cancel out gojo surehit then use Fire arrow, he would break UV on the inside( mahoraga did it with pure physical strength in Chap 229) and it wouldn't last the 3min 9s. Confirming what gojo said about breaking his from the inside.
3. Chap 228 Gojo inner thoughts basically let us know he only destroyed MS within 3min 9s cuz sukuna purposely took the riskier/ longer option and if sukuna didn't gojo wouldn't break MS in 3min 9s.
4. Chap 230 let us know sukuna turn off DA on purpose so he was purposefully taking damage. If it was heian sukuna with no 10s, he would never turn off DA and with stronger physical stats, he would tank all damage which means gojo wouldn't be able to break MS within 3min 9s by hurting sukuna within the domain.
5. Gojo can't dodge C&D. 1. Chap 224 shows us gojo wasn't able to dodge or react to C&D despite been distance away from sukuna, bro was so surprized to see the building cut behind him. 2. Chap 234 Despite facing mahoraga direction he couldn't predict, dodge or react to the slash.
6. Heian sukuna with DA would tank all of gojo attacks( blue punch, purple, red etc) and why? cuz heain sukuna scale to his dismantle which comes from his better base(true form) & his CE reinforcement together as sukuna speed, defence, strenght scale together cuz there from CE reinforcement not a CT like gojo or kashimo. Chap 239 sukuna is far physically stronger.
7.1 Gojo wouldn't survive chanted C&D or fire arrow at same time against heain sukuna. why? simple cuz he already use MAX OUTPUT RCT to minimize normal MS & he still needed SD to buy time to heal & even that still wasn't a good option so he used 2nd SD to heal CT instead( used FB later instead).

Sukuna was winning, Gojo got the edge because at one point, since Sukuna needed both arms to block one of Gojo's attacks, he took advantage of that and could open his domain 0,01s or 0,001s faster than Sukuna, and also had advantage in fist to fist combat. So, with heian form Sukuna would be equal or better at fist to fist combat than Gojo (since he is more used to fight in that body, and also because of the advantage of having 2 extra arms), and at that moment of 0,01/0,001s he would have got caught, since while he block with 2 arms he could use the other two for something else, like attacking Gojo so that he can't use the domain or using the domain faster... Summarizing, Sukuna would have won without ten shadows, but he wanted to learn how to bypass Infinity then didn't go in heian form

Because 80% of your power as a sorcerer is your technique supposedly. Yuji was already arguably a special grade so if he receives a technique equal to Sukuna or Gojo then it's not completely impossible for him to kill Sukuna with the backup of other sorcerers especially now that Sukuna is weakened.

Do you guys realize that since Sukuna's cursed technique has more than two abilities ( cutting and fire ) and since the guarantee hit of the domain he has used till now is only related to the cutting abilities ( slash and dismantle ); there is a possibility that he hasn't used his domain in it's full form yet, with a guarantee hit related to the other abilities like fire that could add effects similar to what jogos domain does ?
The hype on this character is just limitless.

The 1st time Sukuna takes a liking on Megumi is after he killed the 1st finger bearer, That time he don't know about Mahoraga. Yeah he sees Potential from Ten Shadows and takes interest on it, But it's not the main reason he wants Megumi. The main reason is because Megumi like Yuji is capable of hosting him without dying, But unlike Yuji he can have his way on Megumi mentally and later on got full control of his body. I just want to point this out cause a lot of braindead fans will use your statement and believe it. Like he got Megumi cause he needs Mahoraga which is not the case/reason at all. Yeah he sees use of Mahoraga later on, But he don't know shit about Maho prior to him 1st time having interest on Megumi.

This is what i've been talking about for a while when people say Gojo was stornger than Sukuna. He could have at any point just recovered all of his curse energy
& kill Gojo off even without the help of Mahoraga. Just from the sure hit effect of his domain expansion. Gojo literally had no answer for this after exhausting all of his cursed energy Sekuna instead chose not to & instead use everything else at his disposal to fight Gojo & win which makes Gojo's remark after he died talking to his friend make much more sense. He probably sensed Sekuna
had somthing more up his sleeve but didn't quite know what.

at this point I really don't even know who is going to possibly get strong enough to stop Sukuna. I mean, obviously they are going to do some kind of ass-pull to bring Yuji up to par with Sukuna, but I just can't possibly see how they are going to do that when Sukuna for the most part made mincemeat of Gojo.

I do not think Jogo is overestimated by kenjaku, but it's Sukuna's proficiency with jujutsu that creates an immense gap. Like how even as one finger nothing is going to stop sukuna from using fuga(open), rct or a open domain that's more refined than others just lower power.
The power Sukuna holds may be lower but his mind and knowledge doesn't change and it is an important factor that makes him the strongest.

If that truly was the case then, during the 2nd domain expansion ( when sukuna specifically turned off his surehit in the middle of the domain) he had to hold on to gojo during that time frame to prevent being hit by IV. Which means, that MS's surehit was indeed protecting Sukuna's soul.
Based on this, I assume the transferring the hit to megumi, was sukuna's manipulation of his surehit once more to complete his mahoraga adaption plan.
Or that sukuna's sure hit still protects his soul, but excludes megumi specifically in order to have megumi bear the burden of adaption. ( because the minute malevolent shrine went down, sukuna got hit by IV for < 10s, according to the manga, as gojo launched his domain first before sukuna could)

Sukuna live for 1000+ years and fought countless sorcerers on the peak era of jujutsu while Gojo is 29 years old that only been contested by a super human zero curse energy sorcerer killer in his whole life. That's the major difference between the two. Gojo is still just a toddler compare to a full grown Sukuna. You remember how the world try to balance things out. When sukuna live the sorcerers were probably been forced to become much stronger to compensate the strength of sukuna. And as we know sukuna he probably gain something new while adapting on their fights. Gojo have that same potential to. Curses are forced to become stronger just to compensate for his strength. The birth of mahito, jogo, dagon and hanami is a proof to that. Give Gojo another decade or two and he will definitely refine his CT even more by fighting curses that are probably stronger than the curses ive mentioned. If sukuna fought Gojo on the age of someone like kashimo, that would been a different kind of fight.
He didn't "live" for 1000 years. For 99% of his life he was an immobile cursed object that couldn't fight anything even if he wanted to.
