I have so many questions on autonomous vehicles. Who is responsible if something goes wrong? Who does the pre-trip. It seems like there would be many security issues with unoccupied loads. If a truck is put out of service for a safety violation would the whole fleet be out of service?
Forget about the safety violations. They either get an automatic pass(would be the reason why I’d want one), or the DOT will need means to signal it to pull over on demand (would the state trooper shoot a laser gun or some radio frequency to do this 🤷🏻♂️). If there’s gonna be a laser gun or a radio frequency gun to pull over an autonomous truck, what happens if the bad guy gets his hand on those guns 🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️, they can just pull them over and do an easy highway robbery.
If the truck gets in an accident due to misreading the posted construction signs and kill someone, I’d like to think the ceo of the trucking company should goto prison 🤷🏻♂️.
What if the truck encounters an unexpected blizzard conditions, I know my truck lane departure gets disabled, the automatic brake assist becomes unavailable, the adaptive cruise control becomes unavailable once icing condition develops around the sonar sensor by the front bumper…. Another words, all the truck autonomous safety systems will shutdown. But it’s illegal to stop your truck in the middle of the highway because your computer sensor system shutdown, you must get it off the road and you must put your emergency triangles out. If an oncoming vehicle hits your truck while you are on the shoulder without the emergency triangles out, you are liable for the accident.

@@billyboy969 - so the robots are looking for utters, clean it, then hookup the milking device, and unhook after milking... does all that 🤦♂️
@@billyboy969 - watched video on robots doing the milking, I guess robots to hookup airlines could be done....
I know there are at least two different types/model of glad hand receivers on the market, they would need to get them all with same model.

A co-worker was showing me female robots that one might find "attractive" I told him, they could chase you down and rip you to shreads, just one of many likely oversights of humans.
To have a self driving semitruck is irresponsible. There is too much weight on wheels there. And since people hack all kinds of the stuff and programing and mechanical failures are a thing, it can harm many.
