- Update! I finally figured out the chapter glitch and now this video is more user friendly! Enjoy!
You are about to view an informal ground school discussion on the Piper Seminole Multi-engine Systems and more. This video also touches base on instrument procedures along with other related content. This video is for general purchases only. This is a ground school discussion and will contain some errors. We at @B.A.T.aviation feel that the best way to learn is through discussion so we wanted to share it with you. In the video you will see two flight instructors along with a pilot working on Commercial Rating and one working on her multi-engine rating. We hope you enjoy. Any positive feed back and questions are always welcome.

Thanks for the video. Just a small thing. On the prop system she called it a shutter valve. That is on the landing gear system past the electrics pump that moves the hydronic fluid. She means the pilot valve. The pilot valve is in the governor and allows the flow of oil through the governor to the prop hub to lower the angle of attack on the prop.
You are correct! Thanks for the update - also thanks for subscribing!
TOM! WHEN U WRITE ON THE BOARD. USE “thick” BLACK MARKER, or ZOOM IN! If Not, Too Hard to SEE! PLEASE!!! GREAT JOB ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
For lost come route and altitude, Navy taught Avenue of Fame. AVE FAME. for route: Assigned, Vectored, Expected, Filed (those are listed in priority order) and for altitude: Assigned, Minimum, Expected (whicher is the HIGHER of the three.
Also liked when you asked who makes the propeller and she said Hartzell and started to say something else, you were like "STOP! you got it."
Too many times, students will answer a question and then try and reinforce it with other things they know and in the process reveal something they don't know which can give an examiner a little bit of a sticker to start picking at and peeling off.
Exactly right!
Thanks to these amazing videos, I was able to get my Commercial-Multi back in October of 2021!
Excellent! Congratulations. We are headed out to West Palm Beach tomorrow to begin recording a certified flight instructor oral exam! Stay tuned and thank you for subscribing.
@@BATAviation Good luck on getting your CFI! From what I’ve been told, CFI is a rewarding challenge! I can’t wait to see what your career holds!
@@CadetClark1996 I’ve actually already completed my CFI and I’m working on my CFII rating! Always moving forward. The oral exam that we are going to record this week is from another CFI candidate.
Oh nice!!!! Well enjoy!!
These videos are so great, but there are times when I REALLY wish you all had some better mics. I either can't hear, or there are too many people chiming in at the same time, and I feel I've missed out on a potentially large piece of information. People use bluetooth mics all the time now-a-days, so maybe something to look into.
This was an excellent refresher and I thought the acronyms were a great way to remember the items, which I have to admit, escape me if I haven't recently reviewed them. Great learning video. Keep up the good work.
Thank you for the positive feedback!
Be sure to bring a lot of food and eat during your oral exam
All of those questions keeps a guy hungry!
It’s extremely nice but if want to talk about multi checkride you need to cover Pfactors and VMC factors
Great video and tutorial
Thank you!
Congrats Man!
Keep up the favor!!! Thanks
Ty - will do!!! Thank you for subscribing!
It’s called a pilot valve, not shuttle valve. The shuttle valve is what moves in the landing gear hydraulic system.

AVIATE is useful, but add an A at the beginning. Airworthiness Directives are the responsibility of the owner/operator (that’s you as the renter pilot) and there is at least one recurrent one for the stab cables on the Seminole. If it has the old engines, there is an A.D. due every 50 and 100 hours. Sorry to beat this to death, but I’ve seen a lot of pilots obliviously blow past A.D.s, seemingly unaware they are actually committing a major FAR infraction.
Thanks for the feedback! Thanks for subscribing!
How about the Vmc demo ? P vactor, accelerated slip stream etc ?
Umm it’s called a vaccuum pump not a pressure pump. Sad these guys don’t know the basics they are trying to teach
