I much prefer these videos about cultural differences over those about linguistic differences. I’m always interested in cultural content, whereas linguistic differences only catch my attention when they involve a language I speak. By the way, Julia and Miguel are so charismatic; I love the videos with them!
That thing to protect food from insects we have that too in Brazil, at least in my region (north) we have. Like if there is some fresh fruits on the table we put that thing to protect it and it is made of plastic too
I have seen banana leaves used in many cultures, including India. You place the food on there, and when you're done, fold it up and throw into trash/rubbish/basura. Also Suman is a filipino dish wrapped in a banana leaf.
I just realized that Indonesia and Philippines is pretty similar because in the Philippines we also use a lot of banana leaves and we also have like the bucket with the handle that's used for showering and the type of massaging with the coin and oil and stuff so that was rlly cool as well as interesting that there are some similarities.

We do have gas showers in Brazil - that stuff is regional. I had a very scary gas shower in Rio, it always felt like I was going to make that thing explode. But it was better than the electric shower - it actually got the water HOT.
Eyy to the Filipina girl, speak, we also use the banana leaf same with Indonesia for cooking purposes and as a plate. Also the big dipper for toilet use and others stuff.

Júlia! Pamonha is wrapped in corn husks, not banana leaves. We do have a dish in northern regions that we wrap with banana leaves though: northern pé-de-moleque. It's different from the one in the south in that the southern version is a peanut "candy", but the northern one is made from cassava.
