Both have softer voices. I assume Leonardo is from the state of São Paulo (not the capital though). Miguel has a bit of Porto's accent, but not as hard as some people have. He also tried to speak a bit slower. One thing I find interesting about people listening to languages they don't know is how they're not influenced by the image that certain accents have. Like, for instance, sometimes people who are not from the North of Portugal can joke about the way they talk, but to someone from, say, Japan, they have no idea what that means. A non-Japanese person can tell some differences between the accents from Tokyo and Osaka, but they don't have the same negative (or positive) stereotypes, know what I mean?
It's funny to think that people from Brazil and Portugal think the other one sounds more sexy, for me as a mexican I think people from Spain sounds the least sexy out of all the spanish speaking countries, but that's probably just me.
nah, brazilian people doesn't actually think portuguese from portugal sounds sexy in any way, most of brazilians think portuguese from portugal sounds ugly and funny, i think they were just being polite in the video
I've grown up with portuguese grandparents while being Brazilian, and I have a portuguese boyfrind, so I think I have an easier time understanding PTPT than most brazilians. Honestly, I find my boyfriend's way of speaking much more attractive than I found previous people I was in love with (they were all brazilian). But he's a romantic man, something my previous partners were absolutely not. And I also hate it when my boyfriend tries to speak brazilian portuguese lol. But he likes imitating the way I say some things, because he says it is easier for him (and yeah, the brazilian way of speaking is more laid back than the portuguese way of speaker). Like the way I say "I love you", he picked up on that and prefers saying it my way, although I find it SUPER HOT when he says it in his accent, it's much more beautiful. I also find it super funny when he says "foda-se" (which means fuck it) or when he's cussing something out in a video game, it's much funnier than a Brazilian cussing.
Julia out there giving some flirting classes for the boys before the actual video starts was my favorite part 😁💕🇧🇷 btw not Leonardo letting us know about "interesting brazilian facts" but the video being cut right before he tells what the fact is 😂 Miguel being my favorite Portuguese person is still surprising for me 🩷 he's seems to be someone you want to be friend with
As a Brazilian, I think Brazilian Portuguese is sexier than Portuguese because I have to try really hard to understand what the person is saying, so I think if I were to be flirtatious, the flirtatious tone would be lost because I would be focused on the words. I don't know if that makes sense. And didn't the Portuguese of Portugal end up with an accent similar to French because there was a king who thought the French language was elegant and it kind of became a trend and today it is the "official" accent there? As Miguel said, it depends on the person too, for example, I don't like the sound of the German language, but I met an Austrian and I was enchanted by how he sounded...
I was in the airport the other day and there a white couple speaking a European language to each other. It sounded really like European Portuguese except I couldn't understand nothing (I know some basic Brazilian Portuguese). Turned out they were Russians.
@@augustosoares2662 I didn't understand where it came from either because I knew how European Portuguese and Russian sound like and they are not similar to my ears at all. But for whatever reason even I got confused. It might be due to the frequent "sh" sound ("sh" as in s in Lisboa), or how background noises affect the hearing, or maybe the fact that Russian itself has different dialects and some dialects sound more like European Portugese than others.

@@8RGL not the same Ana. Look for the video named "Brazilian Portuguese vs European Portuguese PRONUNCIATION Differences!! (How DIFFERENT are they)". It was posted around 1 year ago
Just to clarify, theres a bunch of accents in Portugal, and they all cam sound different, also people from the north are more direct but more open, and say a lot of curse words, and from the south more timid and closed off. To add to that, Portuguese has a bunch of vocabulary both from brazil and from African countries specially young people. So for example saying "Olá" is a more formal way, younger people say "Oi" like Brazilians. Or we say "bué linda" instead of "muito linda" which means "very beautiful" but "bué" is an Angolan word
No one is judging grammar, but phonetics. Comparing it to Angolan Portuguese makes no sense, as phonetically, it has undergone fewer changes. Brazilian Portuguese was phonetically influenced by the country's native populations and by Europeans who immigrated at the end of the 18th century. Within Brazil, there are several distinct accents, as the population of each state has a different origin.
I think Brazilian Portuguese is the sexier IMO. Everytime I've get the opportunity to listening to it is like a blessing to my ears. It gives me the incontrolable desire to move there. - Gisleynne do Pão de Queijo -
As a person sho speak russian(not native russian speaker, just my mom is russian so i can speak it)i can say portuguese doesnt sound like russian at all, russian has more vowels like d' ,s' ,t' ,m' ,and it makes it sound even more different
people who speak russian or portuguese obviosly dont think that the languages sound alike, im portuguese and i never knew that portuguese sounded like russian until i saw videos in the internet of people saying so, but the people who dont speak any of those think that cuz of the phonetics, so obviosly u will think that they dont look alike
As Portuguese from (Portugal) I know that people won’t agree me with me but for me I think Portuguese from Portugal is sexy to me. Lol because I see how people speak x
Brazilian Portuguese is like American English: no one uses it in other countries, unlike Portuguese from Portugal which is the same as in Angola, Mozambique, etc. And British English which is used in South Africa, Australia, Ireland, etc.
but when people from other non English speaking countries try learning English they always learn American English lol + a lot of popular culture is from the US
For me, it is much better when a guy approaches with "Hi. I'm [insert name]. What's your name?" 😅 Anyway, personally I find portuguese from Portugal sexier.
Brazilian Portuguese is less formal, although it is an older form of speech (18th century) that has been influenced by various peoples such as indigenous peoples, Africans, Italians, and Germans, but lately it has many anglicisms. Portuguese from Portugal is more modern in terms of words, but has undergone a French inflection. So it is no wonder that people find it similar to French. Since Brazilian Portuguese is a phonetic mix of several peoples, it is more pleasant to listen to.

I wish. I'm surprised every time I find a Brazilian think the PT Portuguese version is sexier
They were just being polite tho
antonio banderas doesn't agree with you
nah, brazilian people doesn't actually think portuguese from portugal sounds sexy in any way, most of brazilians think portuguese from portugal sounds ugly and funny, i think they were just being polite in the video
Julia out there giving some flirting classes for the boys before the actual video starts was my favorite part 😁💕🇧🇷
btw not Leonardo letting us know about "interesting brazilian facts" but the video being cut right before he tells what the fact is 😂
Miguel being my favorite Portuguese person is still surprising for me 🩷 he's seems to be someone you want to be friend with
Miguel is 100% so handsome. That face-so good-looking. 😍😍
It might be due to the frequent "sh" sound ("sh" as in s in Lisboa), or how background noises affect the hearing, or maybe the fact that Russian itself has different dialects and some dialects sound more like European Portugese than others.
hahahahhahaa

Like Julia said, it's more about how it's delivered. They sound young and fun, not as seductive as it could have been 😂
I saw comments about this below but I'll say it again just to reinforce it. There is no point in wearing blindfolds after having already seen them. The blindfolds should be for avoiding association to their image while listening to them, no? Fun video though. (:
His beauty is very common, in fact most Portuguese people have the same appearance!! In Brazil we have people and beauties of various types, even more beautiful than him!! Brazil is in the top 3 of the most attractive people!!
@@esteves8587 You're all over the comments, trying to convince people that Brazilians are more beautiful than Portuguese, that your dialect sounds better, that Brazil is better, etc... and you seem to have difficulty accepting that people might think differently.
What's your age? 14, 15 years?

I agree, Brazilian Portuguese has a unique sensuality. Although Leonardo has a low, calm voice, which isn’t very common among Brazilian men who tend to have a stronger, more striking tone, if it were a man with a stronger voice, we would definitely score all the points.

You have great content. It would be nice to see more skin color diversity too.
I saw a video of an American girl saying that European Portuguese sounds like an angry Russian and Brazilian Portuguese sounds like a drunk Spaniard. lol
Maybe it's the opposite since the Portuguese language is older 😅😂
I think it’s hard to do a comparison between them cause we can identify their personalities on their voices and we can notice the Brazilian guy is shy and more introverted, while the Portuguese is more confident and extroverted. Either way, it was a fun content ❤
Kkkkkkkkkkkkkk
Hello. Your video is gorgeous! Good luck 💫
Ooh yeah Brazil and Portugal are same Portuguese but different 😊😊
Next time, someone will join a Timorese Portuguese because Timor Leste is the only Southeast Asian Country have Portuguese Language because of history and majority Catholics like the Philippines 😊😊

Brazilian guy is so cuteeee ❤❤❤
I love Portugal Portuguese
Brasil❤
Hope to see Philippines, portugal, brazil, korea in other video❤❤
Both guys are cuteee
I really like hearing when you sing in Indonesian, it's very beautiful and pleasant to the ear very addictive
I think Brazilian Portuguese is the sexier IMO. Everytime I've get the opportunity to listening to it is like a blessing to my ears. It gives me the incontrolable desire to move there.

For me portuguese from Portugal sounds much more sexier.
Heyyyyy firstttt❤❤❤❤
Gostei do brasileiro.
As Portuguese from (Portugal) I know that people won’t agree me with me but for me I think Portuguese from Portugal is sexy to me. Lol because I see how people speak x
same especially the accents from the north (this coming from a portuguese with a lisbon accent)
I love this group
Miguel ❤️❤️
Yes Portugal.
Brazilian Portuguese is like American English: no one uses it in other countries, unlike Portuguese from Portugal which is the same as in Angola, Mozambique, etc. And British English which is used in South Africa, Australia, Ireland, etc.
This may be because Brazilians were not colonizers...
@@thiagooliveira583 his argument was dumb, but ppl like u r retarded asf lol
But when non natives learn they always learn american and Brazilian
but when people from other non English speaking countries try learning English they always learn American English lol + a lot of popular culture is from the US
I prefer American!! I didn't like studying British English!!
As a brazilian, both guys suck at flirting.
For me, it is much better when a guy approaches with "Hi. I'm [insert name]. What's your name?" 😅
Anyway, personally I find portuguese from Portugal sexier.
Im portuguese and portuguese portuguese has much more influences like Celtic, Latim, Greek, German Languages, Arabic, Italian, French and UK English.

3:27 It's not "Hola", but "Olá". Thanks!
It's quite clear that in Brazil we are more direct when we are flirting. It's a cultural thing. I think women prefer the confidence that a man shows by not being shy about saying that he is interested in her.
I think they should've asked the boys questions so they had something specific to talk about
