The back view would be great for group rides, when you want to film stuff around yourself! For trails, I think westcoast landpirate does it best, he made a video about how he does about a year ago.
For me it's unwatchable in that contraption, it's just to bouncy and therefore the cameras stabilisation can't cope well enough so looks too skittish and painful on the eyes. I think the belt perhaps is designed for less constantly moving activities
