Great list! Here’s to hoping 2020 is another great year for 3D! As of now, Frozen 2 is my most anticipated 3D release. The first one was great in 3D. I have Alita, just haven’t watched it yet. You have me even more excited for it now.
Agree with you and most of your viewers - Alita is STUNNING in 3D. Thank goodness James Cameron still prefers 3D and is fighting the studios by including a 3D copy in the 4K issue. He must think that those 4K adopters will also view on 3D and see how good 3D can be when it is filmed in native 3D instead of post production conversion.
I am glad that there are people who appreciate Alita. There is no denying that in many cases it was dumped, poorly promoted. Regardless of whether someone appreciates Alite only for the effects, only for the music, only for the character of Cameron, or even just for the character of Alita. I am glad that Alita is appreciated.
The only new Blu-Ray 3D I got that came out this year was Alita, I thought it was great 3D and it was stunning, But I didn't really like the movie that much though. But the 3D is a 10/10.
I ordered "Gemini Man" with Will Smith in 3D Blu-Ray from Amazon - France. When this was first released it was the only place I could find it in 3D Blu-Ray. So, with the help of "Google Translate" on line, I transcribed all the communication between me and Amazon France, guess what, it worked! I read all their information and then filled in all the blanks in French and was able to order the 3D Blu-Ray on their site. After about a month it arrived to my home. My Amazon account was even good in France. Doing all this was really kind of fun and rewarding, weird!
3D Blu-ray Bunker I’m kinda sad my cinema never showed it in 3D they seem now to show only marvel and Star Wars … though they did show the lion king . But yeah I thought dumbo was a great conversion helped by the 1:85 frame
@@trullithebest It really felt like Dumbo's 3D didn't get the love it deserved, I thought it was brilliant. Have to say - and I know I'm in a minority here - but I prefer the 2.39:1 aspect because I project onto a cinemascope ratio screen - so for me there are no black bars (the black bars I would get are vertical ones on a 1.85 film, but I have side masking on the screen to eliminate that). This is why I hate films that open up into Imax ratio! Cheers, Will.
3D Blu-ray Bunker ah Urghh that would suck then. I’m the opposite I love when it opens in imax format since I’m watching on my Panasonic in movies like guardians of the galaxy
@@trullithebest I also have a Panasonic 3D TV (one with a passive LG panel, which I prefer over active shutter glass, just my personal preference) and totally get where you're coming from, when a 2.39:1 films opens up into Imax on a TV it's a glorious treat!
Ok I’m a big fan of 3D format movies but I like watching in on 1.78 ratio aspect tho. It just looks better to me idk about u guys, but I’m just been trying to buy only 3D format that is 1.66-1.85 ratio. I wish Alita is full screen & just hate the black bars on top & bottom of screen. Anyone have same opinion?
Hi. It's always great to hear the opinions of a fellow 3D lover, so thanks for this video. I agree with much of what you say, but fairly strongly disagree with a couple! I haven't seen the 3D Blu-ray of Godzilla, but saw it in 3D Imax - and thought it was amongst the worst conversions I've seen for the last few years (even less impressive than the lacklustre conversion done on Gareth Edwards' Godzilla a few years ago). Also, I thought Mortal Engines didn't push the 3D anything like as far as it could have and was overall very mild and disappointing. Enjoyed the film though. Like I say, I agree with you more than I disagree though, I thought Aquaman was a reference quality conversion. Can't remember if you've seen it, but Dumbo really belonged on your list, its 3D is vastly superior to Godzilla or Mortal Engines. Cheers.
It really is going to depend when theaters reopen worldwide I think. I’m hearing rumors that Wonder Woman 84 is getting a 3D home release so that’s encouraging.
Not a problem here to get 3d in fact I have a lot come uninvited with the Blu-ray film anyway moving on just got back from seeing Jamangi Next Level wow loved the film Blu-ray 4k for sure.
I only got a couple of 2019 movies on 3D and out of those I prefer Captain Marvel. Mainly for a few scenes like the shots of her crashed plane and those pods being shot down towards the planet. I didn't care for Godzilla. Shazam and Aquaman I only saw in the cinema. I got Alita on 4K but didn't like thar film at all. I think Rodrigez peaked with his debut film, El Mariachi. Avengers: Endgame was good of course. All the Marvel films are. I also got Spider-man: Into the Spider-verse which was quite impressive visually.
Cinemablend.com They have in-depth reviews of 3D movies...... Under the heading 2D or 3D. I just received the import 3D of Abominable........ watching the 4K motivated me to purchase the 3D...... haven't had time to watch it yet but I'll be surprised if it doesn't turn out to be a spectacular 3D experience.
Adam i saw all 10 movies mentioned in this Video at DOLBY CINEMA theater but to my 3D loving eyes none of the following movies worth it in 3D: Godzilla 2 Aladdin How to Train Dragons 3 (1+2 A1 3D) Mortal Engines (flat as 2D) Avengers Endgame (A1 3D only the beginning in Space scene) but AVENGERS INFINITY WAR was worth it in 3D and yes Captain Marvel to me was one of the best 3D movies of the year throughout the whole movie 3D deep depth + pop outs as it should be unlike SW EPISODE 9 the worst Disney SW in 3D i go 4K for SW9
Glad to see ALITA: BATTLE ANGEL as your top pick. Movie deserves so much more attention. Most underrated movie from this year.
Great list! Here’s to hoping 2020 is another great year for 3D! As of now, Frozen 2 is my most anticipated 3D release. The first one was great in 3D.

shinedown54 Frozen 2 must have been a major disappointment.
Too bad they aren’t all 3D 4K combo’s like Alita !
Great video. Thank you for taking the time to do 3D stuff.
I just love 3D I hope there is loads of releases in 2021 :)

I'm a huge fan of 3d sad to see it die out...
3D is the best, hands down.
I know it's 2021 Now but thanks for the list I am getting in to 3D movies now I guess it's better late than never 😅
Thnx for publishing this video on my bday✌️✌️
Are you going to have a Decade Top 10 Movies?
Yes I will.

But so boring, want to like it but have never made it through the film without falling asleep, even on a plane. Not sure why, plot problems?

In terms of animation finding dory 3D looks great
Tron had minimal pop outs if that.
I agree with your nr 1 pick, Alita 3D kicks ass. Keep the format alive! but I'm curious what kind of 3d tv you sport? or do you have a projector?
I list my gear in the vid description.
But how well do the imports play on American tv's and blu ray players I'm not sure I want to tale a chance on imports
Most 3D Blu-rays work just fine on American players.
Great video , what is your all time best 3D blu ray ?
Check out Alita: Battle Angel!
Didn’t think it was the greatest year for 3D . Dumbo I would have in my top 10 for sure . Yet to watch mortal engines , Pokemon or lion king in 3D yet
Hi there! I agree, despite what I've heard a few people say about it, I thought Dumbo is amongst the very best 3D conversions, really stunning 3D.

I also really like Alita in 3D! I need to check out Mortal Engines. Thanks for your review.
The Queen's Corgi this is my favoritt so epic 3D
I have all the ones you mentioned but have yet to view Shazam, Detective Pikachu, and Endgame. Surprised Spiderverse didn't make your cut.
Creature from the black lagoon is good

Is there any 3-D Blu-ray with dolby atmos audio?
Some. Recent release Abominable for example.
Gemini Man had Dolby Atmos!
For casual browsers looking for comparative 3D, have the 3D disc displayed for more that a split second. Don't know what movie you're talking about.
Hey Adam do you have a eBay store that sells 3D blu rays? The is a eBay store named my name is Adam that sells mostly 3D blu ray movies
Nope that isn’t me, I don’t have an eBay store.
Is there a 2020 list or is 3d dead now?
Their were only a few releases in 2020 thanks to COVID so not this year.
@@MovieGuy365 damn. Do you know if we will see 2021 releases? Mulan would have. Been gorgeous in 3D

Computer animated films by Universal & Warner Bros. still being released on Blu-ray 3D.
Do you have over 100, 3-D blu-rays Movies in your collection?
140 or so by last count.

Hello Adam well I respect your opinion (for yourself) in terms of 3D presentation but coming up next my comment!
Alita is definitely a great 3D movie but I feel Pacific Rim tops it.
Thanks for the video. But ALITA ?!
Love the movie, but fellt that the 3D was so not in there like I expected ! ..✌️
