  • Ever since I was a kid, I would create a Minecraft world, play on it for a little while and then eventually never play on it again. Today I am creating one that will hopefully outlive me one day.

I started playing with my daughter. Problem is, I never played Minecraft albeit I'm a gamer. So, I started this "forver world" not even knowing there was such a thing becuase i never had an interest to start another world. Just keep exploring and building in the one I"m in. She comes and plays with me but she likes creative more since she's only 5. The creativity she has is INSANE and it's crazy how she learned Minecraft at just 5 years old.
I look forward to her being older and able to read so we can do more advanced stuff together.

I'm a big reason why my nephew is a huge gamer now I think. When he was younger he would always want to play games with me when he was visiting, and Minecraft was an easy and consequence-free one to boot up.
I liked it quite a bit, though the short attention span was a bit frustrating at times. I'd get like totally into a build he wanted me to do and then a quarter of the way through he'd want to start something new lol

There's something so nice about having a forever world. There's a bit of solace and comfort in it. I've been in my world for over 6 years now and have yet to get bored. I may take a break for a month or so here and there, but I always returned. I had my massive farms, skyscrapers, and monolithic builds built over the years representing who I am and how I have changed as an individual. I still have my first house with my first wooden pickaxe from the tail end of 2018. so much history both in game and as me of a person. and it's always a joy to be able to walk through my builds and remember exactly what I was thinking all those years ago. it's a special experience, and I hope more people get to experience it as time goes on.

    1) You mentioning Fraps took me BACK. I'm 24 now and though I never used it myself, I remembered hearing it get recommended so often back when I was a teen wanting to make videos.
    2) As a woman, thank you for telling the commenters asking about relationship issues how it is and empowering them to do better for themselves! It's really refreshing to hear you address their specific struggle with their girlfriend or a girl they liked without demonizing the party mentioned or the party questioning.
    3) This is so cozy, I love the vibes and your build style! The crazy luck was hilarious and some of the mods you have inspired me to add some mods for convenience going forward. I think my personal Minecraft burnout comes from falling into tedious patterns. I'm seeing a lot more Forever World content in the Minecraft sphere lately and I love seeing how different people approach it. I look forward to your world's evolution, niko! 😌

I’ve had a forever world for around two years now. I settled my first base in a giant tiga, built a small cabin starter house, eventually built a larger house in the same area, and built a giant underground laboratory that I’m still expanding to this day. I am now building a giant castle that I’ve been working on for a few months, and once it’s done it will be my new base! I’ve made sure to keep plenty of sentimental items along the way such as my first item, first set of iron armor and so on, and I recommend you do the same if you have a forever world!
One very important final bit of advice: MAKE SURE YOU CREAT REGULAR BACKUPS OF YOUR WORLD! My forever world just corrupted a couple of days ago. Luckily I had a semi recent backup of it, but I still lost 10 hours or more worth of work.

Felt down to my bones.. I realised this some years ago and made one, It lasted a good five years on and off.. I build skyscrapers, mansions, railways, village civilisations, pyrimids, japanese gardens, magic nether fortresses... anyway.. my pc died last year.. and.. along with it so did the world.. Still sucks but I just this week decided it was time to start another "forever world".. Keep it up! and be smarter than me, keep an !updated! back up of your world

You shouldn’t use mods that alter the base game, like structures, for a forever world
it has a chance of your world getting corrupted when new versions come out

    • @nikoyaps
      @nikoyaps  Місяць тому +9

The only structure mods and such that i've added are based on vanilla blocks and items. So even if the mods stop being supported, the structures that have already been loaded within the world chunks will remain intact. I appreciate the shout tho

It really itched me watching, but also just loved how obvious it is you havent had many survival worlds and didnt have full iron armor + tools 20 minutes into the game lol. After around 14:00 i even got inspired and continued off my little world I hadnt touched for a month, while listening to your comforting voice doing this "forever letsplay". I really enjoy these videos and expect AT LEAST 50 more 1 hour eps like these, AND SEASONS 😭

i have a forever world, i started a world with friends back in 2015, and have been playing ever since, still consistence and playing it to this day, working on mega projects and keeping myself having goals, it started as me and friends playing, 6 of us, but now its just me after all these years (almost 10 years now) and i gotta say, its been so worth it. to see the time dedicated adding up overtime and my projects and wants being met are so nice, i encourage everyone to push past that 2 week phase and keep yourself entertained, 16,000 hours and counting for mc.

So I had a world like this... I started it in 2014. I know this because I started the new world specifically to play with the new diorite, andesite, and granite blocks. While it's fun to open up once in awhile and I still transfer it from pc to pc, the world itself is very glitchy. The world generation has changed so much in the last decade, I have teleport points set up all over the world in order to access new features. I have to go all the way out to 15000, 15000 in order to spawn new items and structures from new updates, a distance which obviously gets larger every time. This a very fun concept but I guess I just want to caution players that forever isn't necessarily possible.

I love that this is just a casual normal play. Nothing crazy, no real objective, just playing the game and exploring - the way most of us play Minecraft. And I love the long length, it's relaxing to watch. I wonder if the algorithm brought me to you bc I prefer Minecraft videos over an hour.
I have my own forever server. I love it. I really enjoyed your video - you got a new sub from me :)

i highly recommend adding the date of building to pretty much anything special. For example add a sign on the fountain of the mideval town you'll build, or at the bottom of that nuclear bunker.. it's super nostalgic to come back in a few years and actually know when that was built.

I recommend you occasionally backup a copy of your world so that you can see how it develops over the years.
I've had a world like this since beta 1.5. Though it's been in creative mode ever since it was added, I still keep my original survival storage room untouched.
I never made backups back then, so all I have of my beta era map is screenshots of buildings that I eventually took down or redesigned.
Looking back on the stuff is a great nostalgia trip, and maybe in a few years you could show your viewers how long you've come, and your kids will love it too.
