Actually, as a person who loves redstone and plays on bedrock, where redstone is way different that Java, small changes do have large influences. One difference between Java and bedrock is the fact that bedrock has always been random. It does actually make things a lot harder. Because you can’t always replace it with a repeater. For example. Large piston doors have pistons next to eachother. When you do that. If you use a repeater into one piston it can affect redstone components around it. Redstone dust on the other hand, does not. So things being random is actually a big problem.
yeah but on bedrock its not reliably random. like, wayyy to much stuff is random. the interaction with strength determining priority pretty much can't exist cuz some random stuff will just randomly send a signal an entire tick later. so while the randomness on java isnt great in a few situations, its quite workable. but on bedrock it can quickly become unmanageable.
Doors in java are already trying to avoid locationality and directionality anyway, randomess barely affect any builds except those who use locationality to archieve smallest door layout. You shouldn't make your redstone builds locational or directional as they will change its behavior when you decided to copy it from your creative world to your other world, or rotating it or move it to the side by one block. The solution is either randomness or both piston shouldn't push their heads (burntout piston). The reason why piston door layouts are so bulk in bedrock is due to the fact that: - Sticky piston on bedrock does not split block - Bedrock piston is slower to correctly handle moving blocks (which is why no splitting block). This lead to more timing and delays to correct push blocks. - No QC for niche stuff when you need to power two pistons at the same time - Bad proto-layout
@@RePorpoised do you even know how bedrock redstone even work? It was a graph system, of course it has edges which contains strength. Adding an order system based signal strength shouldn't be hard as the graph itself connected with edge containing SS. Other notes: • This is only on the 'Experimental' world mode. • This is also only a snapshot. As for my opinion on the changes, I will just copy+paste from the feedback site... Main changes I would reverse: • All of the quasi-connectivity restrictions. Literal years of work from the Redstone community operates on quasi-connectivity; this would break countless contraptions. This would devastate them. • The minecart alignment changes. Same as above, especially with the alignment to the center on corner rails, which I would assume(and hope) is a bug. I would ideally all of these changes, but definitely at least the corner rain one, as it is the least intuitive. • Stacking minecarts is now only possible by dropping. This one may not be as devastating as the other two, but it reduces QOL, which is not ideal. Main changes I would uphold: • The new Redstone torch model. Purely visual, but the 3-dimensional glow looks way nicer. (: • If there are two pistons whose 'extension zones' overlap, and they are attached to two branching paths of a multi-way Redstone wire, the shortest path 'wins'. This is very intuitive, as well as deterministic. • Minecarts retain their velocity exiting an upward rail. This is also intuitive, and even representative of real-world physics.
I get that some of the features we currently have are really useful for advanced redstoners. However, I feel like these changes make redstone a little more intuitive, even if only the tiniest bit, and might slightly reduce lag. I don’t know redstone well myself, but I do assume that there are ways around the problems created if redstoners rethink how they do redstone a tiny bit.

some complaints here are valid as some glitches basically become features after a while but in order for things to change as minecraft does sometimes things you work hard on will break, imagine if players in the past had there way the game would have stayed the same and many new cool things would have never been added, im not just saying suck it up and get over it though, a compromise would be if they allowed some of the old glitches turned features to become new fully fleged features, allowing for the game to change while also keeping the old option
Yeah that's true. Like so many players would've been against the deep dark because ‘oH mINeCrAftS nOt A hOrRor GaMe’ and even deepslate, once players would have found out it's not insta minable, there would've been riots on not adding it to the game
I feel like the one thing that could really help minecarts would be being able to use chains to link multiple carts together so that you can make trains. If that were added, it could finally give the furnace minecart a more generalized purpose.

4:18 to be fair (im not an expert on the topic) i think some 0 tick machines break cause of the randomness but i think there are worse changes in the experiment
4:32 that is just straight up neglecting the entire issue. Most redstone builds as so compact you can’t just change the wire not only that but that’s the minor issue and will rarely happen the bigger issue is the fact it doesn’t actually work this way consistently and also doesn’t update blocks the same way meaning certain things are just straight up impossible now
I like how he used Mumbo Jumbo's thumbnail when talking about the changes being controversial, despite Mumbo's video being the most chill and level headed of all of them, and has very little actual complaints (more just constructive feedback).

• This is also only a snapshot.
As for my opinion on the changes, I will just copy+paste from the feedback site...
Main changes I would reverse:
• All of the quasi-connectivity restrictions.
Main changes I would uphold:
• The new Redstone torch model. Purely visual, but the 3-dimensional glow looks way nicer. (:
• If there are two pistons whose 'extension zones' overlap, and they are attached to two branching paths of a multi-way Redstone wire, the shortest path 'wins'. This is very intuitive, as well as deterministic.
• Minecarts retain their velocity exiting an upward rail. This is also intuitive, and even representative of real-world physics.
Bro created subway surfers in Minecraft with minecarts lol

I love how everyone’s first thought is to launch villagers into the stratosphere 😂
No so many redstone contraptions woulld never be able to work again
The minecart stuff sounds cool tho
@@thenetherender30dude, yes they will, stop crying about something that is LITERALLY called Experimental. Youre not forced to use this and they will make changes.
The minecraft community has no literacy skills
@@cinnastag idt you have any literacy skills, the snapshot is for feedback, the redstone community is... giving feedback.
@@cinnastagI think you need to reread that comment
The hatred in his voice when he says take two…
I mean... if you have minecards going 1000 blocks/sec then we don't really need the piston pushers anymore, do we?
That's only if you have cheats on sincs you need to set the speed yourself. On a clean run, no, you do not have the updated speed
Mumbo actually kinda liked the idea a bit
1:55 monentum 😭😭😭
Mojang added a consistent and easy way to get random results and people are complaining
honestly rng with redstone seems like it could be useful with observers. I can't wait to make a casino
People acting like redstone is only now randomised as if it wasn't always. They literally made them less random in the experimental and people are still crying about it
you can already do that with dispensers and droppers, no?
Thats what I thought too until someone told me you can already do it with just a dropper, a hopper facing it, and a comparator out of the hopper, and then put in 1 stackable item and 1 unstackable item
@@cinnastagRedstone was never random, in Java edition, except for droppers. It was locational, which meant it worked differently depending on where it was placed, but it always worked the same every time once made.
@@Muchspernerthat is equally as bad
the new randomness in redstone actually comes up more than you'd think.
some complaints here are valid as some glitches basically become features after a while but in order for things to change as minecraft does sometimes things you work hard on will break, imagine if players in the past had there way the game would have stayed the same and many new cool things would have never been added, im not just saying suck it up and get over it though, a compromise would be if they allowed some of the old glitches turned features to become new fully fleged features, allowing for the game to change while also keeping the old option
I thought they fully removed quasi connectivity. At least it's not... fully gone... Right?
it's not gone at all it's just one update method gone.
sad it's the most used but there are plenty of others.
Like lamp/bulb.
note that it's also fixes time when you wouldn't want an update for x reasons.
and that the piston line glitch (were some piston stayed extended with full block) was fixed by the change in update order.
Remember when Mojang said they wanted feedback, and how these experimental, toggleable feature in a snapshot was but a foundation to which build the future?
No? Because I have a feeling people think this is the end result and it sucks. :v
4:18 to be fair (im not an expert on the topic) i think some 0 tick machines break cause of the randomness but i think there are worse changes in the experiment
love the QI theme tune at 3:07 ❤

That's half the reasons why we can't have nice things. Redstoneheads doesn't like changes.
EDIT: The block update thing is kinda bogus though
Just redstoneheads though? Feels like everyone sometimes
@@NykoZeraora well, I suppose everyone else does that too. Just not as much as redstoone engineers.

one day he's gonna find that villager
4:32 that is just straight up neglecting the entire issue. Most redstone builds as so compact you can’t just change the wire not only that but that’s the minor issue and will rarely happen the bigger issue is the fact it doesn’t actually work this way consistently and also doesn’t update blocks the same way meaning certain things are just straight up impossible now
I like how he used Mumbo Jumbo's thumbnail when talking about the changes being controversial, despite Mumbo's video being the most chill and level headed of all of them, and has very little actual complaints (more just constructive feedback).

For how much Mojang pushes Minecraft as a Sandbox game, they're working their darnedest to make it not one smh
As a bedrock beginner redstoner I like to see how much better my experience with Redstone can be.
5:01 finally an actual Redstone parity change. People need to stop abusing glitches even if their a feature. As that's just basically saying "were to lazy to fix it"
5:47 that's why Redstone can be laggy it's inefficient
love it when non redstoners talk about redstone
@@ilovecobblestonee Im not a Redstoner but I wish for complete parity and I'm being honest about bug feature things which should be it's own definition.

what's worse is that take 2 was even messed up as their recording software wasn't capturing all of minecraft, leaving some edges out of the video.
They should make the redstone torch have just a tad bit more orange in them
