XD40 Tactical, 9mm conversion barrel, Springer 3.5# trigger job, Cobra Chromed slide, Dawson adjustable tritium sights. Carried it for 10 years on duty in 40 cal, shot IDPA for 15 years (so far) in 9mm. She's a heavy girl, but she's accurate and reliable, and surprising low recoil when shooting 40cal, especially with a TLR7 mounted. 👊🇺🇲👊

I've been shooting the XD/XDM exclusively for over 16 years now. I have 3 on my carry permit and compete exclusively with my XDM. I have a worn out a mag release now and then, but when you are putting 1000 rounds per month downrange things will wear. I do trigger jobs with only Springer Precision products. The XD/XDM trigger job is not for the feint of heart and can't really be mastered by watching U of Tube videos. Get a competent gunsmith to do one. They last forever if done properly.
xdm elites have to be some of the best handheld defensive devices out now

Our police station just got a contract with the Springfield Elite's! The durability and failures un heard of is a garanteed winner! I saw the XDM 4.5 10mm do the 10,000 round test and ZERO failures so I jumped all over it! I love it so much when the Elite 3.8 OSP in 10mm popped up I searched and searched took me 3 months but finally found one 2 weeks ago and MAN is it an AMAZING pistol! It's shooting laser beams, I love it so much that I had to buy the best and bought the Trijicon RMR the plate should be here any day for it! The day I picked it up from the approval I put 300 rounds through the pistol and of course zero issues. The issue I had was poking hole in hole so I stepped back and the 10mm really is a straight shooter! Ordered the Mech Tech 16" carbine barrel for it and have a Black Point Mini Wing holster coming for it too! This pistol is getting nothing but the best!

My original XDM osp tactical is the same gun, color and all. The only upgrades are the mag well fitted with the elite mag and venom as well, they’re awesome and reliable all the way around!

Well, if You would said one more but pretty important info . . . this double 0 would be explaind. This guns are made by croatian company named HS Products and sold in US under Springfield Armory. HS Products was founded back in 90's in the middle of ex-YU war when Croatia was under embargo. Owner and most of the guys who started company where in army in the same time so they sure did know what they need. Start and those 90's models where funny looking but that way learning period. This is . . . . expiriance.

I've always drank the Glock Kool Aid. I have a Glock 20 Gen III that I have owned for 15 years or so now and I love it. My friend has about 4 XDs of various generations, calibers, and configurations. He recently purchased one of the OSP Elite 9mms and put a Holosun on it. In the past the XDs have been okay, but I have been pretty lukewarm to them and decided to stick to my Glocks. But shooting that OSP with the Holosun on it left an impression on me. I couldn't get it out of my head how cool a 10mm striker fire with 15 rounds in the magazine and a red dot would be. But Glock doesn't make a model 20 that can take a red dot and I wasn't ready to step all the way up to the longslide model 40. So I checked out the Springfield and I think I got the itch. I might try the XD Kool Aid now. The 10mm is my favorite handgun cartridge and the Glock 20 was my gateway drug into the Glocks. I could see the OSP 10mm being my gateway drug into the Springfields.

Yes sir! I have the XDM 4.5 in 10mm and just picked up the 3.8 Elite 10mm and man its a dream!!! Its getting the Trijicon slapped on it soon as the plate gets here any day!!

@@joeruth4673 For sure, they just make the best made pistols and rifles out there! Even their magazines alone, I can't name another manufacturer that makes a better magazine then Springfield, not to mention the 10,000 round torture tests with the hot rounds that they do and in one continuous shot so there's no editing and what not. Our local police stations and more police stations are carrying the new Elite's and going with the green/red dots as well!! So the bad guys better watch out because these pistols do not misfire and they shoot straight bro!!! I have the Elite 3.8 in 10mm and I have the Holosun 508Titanium with the green dot on it and I carry mine for bears when I'm out here hunting amd at the end of my hunt in this area I had one of those small mandarin oranges smaller then a fist I was archery hunting so I had my rangefinder and set it up and walked back 80 yards thats where the 10mm is supposed to shoot straight to and start the drop a tad after 80 yards, I did a dang good job sighting the green dot in too with bench rest and all that, anyway I shot once free hand and that orange just disappeared lol AMAZING shooting match grade barrels and great trigger can't say enough about these pistols except in time they will get the respect they deserve and they will go up in value in time as well!!! I see more expensive pistols that cant even compare to these Elites! Cheers buddy & shoot straight!

Hey so I got this gun. I want to mount a sig Romeo zero since I found 1 on sale. Would any of the mounting plates work for it? Or will I have to buy a different mounting plate thank you 😊
If you bought it, and registered the warranty, SA will email you a link for a free plate, they will answer your question on which plate will work with the zero, I'm pretty sure it's the shield foot print, so you'd need that plate.
I've held the XDM-Elite 3.8" and I'm considering it for EDC. I'm 5ft7" and athletic build, any thoughts/suggestions?
PSA has a deal for this for $499 with 5- 22 round magazines and one 35 round magazine. With all upgrades this thing has over the Glock. This seems like the way to go for a Beast out of the box Gun.

In the US, suppressors are controlled under the National Firearms Act (NFA), so you have to find a Class III licensed dealer and submit the proper forms to the ATF for approval.
This appears to be the 9mm version. I searched for the 10mm XD-M OSP Threaded.😊

Absolutely, PHENOMENAL video and review (I have the Elite OSP 10mm 3.8)--- except for that damn ticking noise in the background...WTH.. Constant, annoying amateur distraction from an otherwise perfect review. Keep up the great content.
what holster are they using?
Malfunctions with the xdm are actually quite rare, as a gunsmith by trade, and from personal very hard use, hunting," backpacking etc, i have one that has seen dirt, dust, mud, silt, snow you name it, and so have some friends. It looks very used and beat as a result, but has never skipped a beat. They are actually great reliable pistols, that have proven to be quite tough and reliable. I take those kinds of claims with a grain of salt, i love my glocks also, but i have noticed over the years how the die hard glock fans are the ones who tend to make claims and stories like that against other brands of pistols, most of wich i find to be untrue, and unable to find or hear of someone with first hand exp. With similar issues. I've also noticed working at the shop, with more and more polymer frame pistols coming out with much better looks, more features, more accuracy, optic cuts etc. all at the same price range as glock, it's getting harder for more people on that side of the counter to justify going with glock.

Yep I got this gun to. No issues at all. I do want the FDE color to. Magazine capacity is unheard of for stock magazines unless your buying a cz ptf. What's up with the rear slide rails being polymer at least make them steel like every other gun now

Does the magazines show 22rds on the back of them? Or 19 rds? I looked at a xdm elite osp today and it had 19rd mags as the holes in the back of the mag showed but its supposed to have 22rd mags right?
Comes with two "19 rd" mags when buying new but can purchase 22rd mags after.

the mags are convertible between 19 and 22 depending on if you have the baseplate extender set or not. if you are using the magwell flare, the mags must be set for 22 rounds. you can remove the flare and have them set on 19 and the mag bases will sit flush with the bottom of the grip.
I own the XDM E 4.5 the mags mark 19 but fit 20. The Osp marks 19 too but fits 22.

I’d go with the xdm because of the large capacity. Ruger American is good. My friend had 1 it was good shootin.

$709 MSRP on the XDM Elite OSP. We've never had a single issue with a Hellcat. Daily carried for the last 6 months, put around 2000 rounds through them in multiple training classes.

Do you have any recommendations for IWB holsters for this pistol? It appears to be very difficult to find any, especially in a sidecar appendix style.
Concealing a fullsize pistol like this is much easier when doing it from appendix carry position, which is why i am asking.
I thought the mag well was made of plastic. This means it will get a lot of scuffing and rough edges over time when feeding the metal mags. Is there a metal mag well?

I have the XDM fullsize 4.5 t.b ., here's my Mod list-.., Powder River Precision* Titanium Striker , PRP extended grip safety, PRP spring coil pack., PRP extreme ejector, PRP Trigger kit , PRP extended mag release, PRP S.S pin kit, , PRP dual recoil Spings., n added the flared magwell.., I'm forgetting some minor b.s I Know., their is more.. ., but a Buddy of mine helped Me totally rebuild the Pistol.?., its probably better than an Echelon..?.., Idk..?., my XDM is modded to the Moon n back..?., its excellent.!!!..., I never see Folks talk about Modded XDM's..??., I don't have a ported slide..( b.c the price is ridiculous..)..
I absolutely hate that Springfield gets the credit for the XD series. HS Produkt are the real minds behind this line of weapons. The Croats make excellent guns.

This is a croatian “HS produkt” gun. Springfield Armory has nothing with production of these guns (xd, xdm series).. HS produkt, for some reason, rebrands their guns to Springfield Armory for US market.

I'm from Croatia.. US bought license from HS product. Best of all is that HS product survives because of US.. In Croatia, it is almost impossible to get a weapons permit, especially for CC.. US model XD.. CRO model of XD is HS 2000 Because production has begun in 2000.

I had the same reaction, but after running it, it literally makes zero difference.
I was the same, held 1 and later shot another SA with the grip safety no real difference, work the same doesn’t require a lot of pressure to activate it. You never want to hold a gun with only your fingers. Grip it hard like you mean it lol. One concern I’ve heard is holstering it safely to avoid a NF.
An entire video, with zero mention of the caliber. They make these pistols in 9mm and 10mm. I obviously want a review of the 10mm version. This was a poor review at best, and no one cares about your gear.
Trash holster. That gap in the trigger guard is a big no no and should automatically disqualify it from being called good, tbh. And who gives a shit about their unwavering dedication to the second amendment, you're reviewing a Springfield Armory gun lol

I have the same gun but in black. I really want the FDE i would take the high sites off mine put a holosun 507c green dot. And just run the gun as is. Dont need anything else done to it.
