For those who are asking about Jeep Wrangler and Suzuki Hybrid 1. Suzuki See the reason we haven't added the hybrid engine under Suzuki is because this hybrid powertrain is developed by Toyota, and to keep the game fair we decided to not include that hybrid engine under Suzuki and to keep it restricted to Toyota only. similarly, we haven't added any copy pasted cars from Suzuki under Toyota aswell 2. Jeep The reason why we didn't add the Grand Cherokee and Wrangler is that these cars don't belong to this list, I've not included brands like BMW, merc, and Audi because these brands are luxury brands, and just like these brands grand Cherokee and Wrangler are luxury cars with extremely high price points, Just like Jeep Toyota also offers their LC 300 and Vellfire in India however again adding those cars to the list could turn around the whole point of this Video.

Other than that I have never felt that my Car’s engine underperformed, car dynamics are still intact and it’s a rugged high performance car, great controlling even at high speeds, a very very few chances of body roll. Personally when I bought MG Hector it was primarily due to a few reasons, I think it’s the perfect blend for an indian car driver- it’s in SUV, powerful and reliable engine, super premium and reliable interior with a chunk of features, solid build quality and safety features. I don’t see any cons except Mileage which can be a great concern on its own for some people. Except Hyundai and Kia I don’t see any car brand offering similar stuff.
@@cannibalronny7314 which car do you own ? And the reason there are less MG on the road is that it’s a relatively new company, only 3 major models in IC engines and mainly most people can’t afford them- Hector is about 20L to 26L for top variant and Gloster is close to 50L. Plus mileage and maintenance. So realistically, India is still a developing country is most of its population below poverty line and most people able to afford a car opt for Maruti or Tata which are affordable thats it.
Mahindra 2.0 litre mStallion TGDI engine is my favorite IC engine, even base model scorpioN & XUV700 has such a powerful engine. Torque of 370 NM is better than most diesel engines on offer today.

Mahindra’s 2L turbo petrol will give very less mileage and has been mainly developed for their overseas markets like Australia and South Africa. They should have first brought the 1.5L M-stallion Turbo-petrol that gets 160bhp, which would have been sufficient and frugal/efficient for both XUV-700 and Scorpio.

Mahindra is my favourite. Tata rightly deserved the 3rd last position, they need to work very hard on their engines. By the way, an excellent video and detailed information presented in a neat manner. Kudos to you 🎉😊
No man, this guy gave engine reliability score on the basis of public perception!! If thats the case how Tata can score very low on reliability of its engines? I mean they have the best selling model in the country, that engine came out in 2015, currently powers atleast 1 million cars. We have seen plenty of them have crossed 1.5-2 lakh km as well. Have we ever come across any problem with that engine? No. Thats the reason why they sell so much. Its low on NVH and performance but reliability is rock solid for Tata engines. Tata's reliability issues doesn't come from engine side, its mostly electronics.
@@nabeels1183Reliability can only be tested after 10 year usage. I haven't seen a Tata car above 10 year or 1,00,000 kms. Only few Indicas have survived. But I think Tata will become more reliable after 5 years. Currently it's only safety.

This is a flawed calculation. Very heavily biased by reliability score. Ideally all aspects of a manufacturer should have almost equal score. So a company having 1 highly reliable engine can beat a company with 3 engines with poor reliability depending on power and fuel type.
reliability is the main aspect when comes to engine. without reliability that engine is a shit piece of box. it doesnt matter how many engines you have until they doesnt have reliability. these cars after 100k kms is going to be a bigmess which doesnt have reliability. Good research but scoring methodology is totally flawed. You are adding scores of parameters at different scales. A better approach would be to divide each parameter score by maximum possible score on that parameter and then adding all 5 scores to arrive at the final value. It’s a big caveat which is distorting your entire ranking.
I always felt Mahindra better then Tata and this video prooved it. I am happy Mahindra stood in top 3. I wud like to see more performance engine from Mahindra.
The 4 metrics you have used are not weighed correctly. Reliability is contributing most in the score. You should give the reliability score as 7/10 =0.7. Similarly for types of fuels should be like Number should be 1/4 =0.25.

The MOST WELL-RESEARCHED Video I've seen related to Engines ❤❤❤
Personally when I bought MG Hector it was primarily due to a few reasons, I think it’s the perfect blend for an indian car driver- it’s in SUV, powerful and reliable engine, super premium and reliable interior with a chunk of features, solid build quality and safety features. I don’t see any cons except Mileage which can be a great concern on its own for some people. Except Hyundai and Kia I don’t see any car brand offering similar stuff.
Wait for some years it will show its true colour,MG is a failed company, how many mg cars u see on road

No issues with engine,no breakdown ,no failure of critical parts.
Yes service quality is very poor

But no issues with reliability of engine
The Jeep Compass in India is available with two engine options: a 1.4-liter turbocharged petrol engine that produces 162 horsepower and a 2.0-liter turbocharged diesel engine that produces 173 horsepower
This is a flawed calculation. Very heavily biased by reliability score. Ideally all aspects of a manufacturer should have almost equal score. So a company having 1 highly reliable engine can beat a company with 3 engines with poor reliability depending on power and fuel type.
Go to motoroctane, if u want to see fanboy stuff
reliability is the main aspect when comes to engine. without reliability that engine is a shit piece of box. it doesnt matter how many engines you have until they doesnt have reliability. these cars after 100k kms is going to be a bigmess which doesnt have reliability. (from a owner of hyundai sonata - most unreliable car due to gdi engines).
Lol my father owns a Hyundai i10 and runned 1.2L km and only once gearbox and clutch plate has been changed (at 1.1L km) Engine is still stock from factory
My father drives it very gently and has done regular maintenance on it
The car is probably 2nd or 3rd gen i10
Because reliability matters a lot
@vishalvan3317 I own a 2019 hyundai sonata. Engine burns oil like anything. I change oil for every 6000kms as per the Company recommendation. Drove the car with utmost care. My car engine burns 1 litre of oil for every 400kms. And spark plugs issue is a night mare for me. Spark plugs burns off for every 1000-1500 kms. This issue is not only with my car. Every sonata owners after 100k kms are facing this. Company doesn't have a solution for this. Only solution is to change the engine. The one u are using are mpi engines from sonata ro Tucson, hyundai is using gdi engines .
Motor shows me tata itne engines dikhata hai, but market me ek bhi engine available nahi hota unka.
Moreover TATA, JLR ki level ki hu reliability pe aa gya hai.
Mahindra is actually doing best but tata needs work on engine
there diesel engines are gem but the petrol ones are going to be a bigmess in future coz of gdi technology they use. after 100k kms they are gonna burn oil more than petrol.
Tata engines are good but their electronics is bad
@SunitVosdey even their engines are bad. One of my friend brother owns tata hexa. Brand new one when bought. It used to stop in middle of highways for no reason. The car has to be towed to nearest service centre. It's not only issue with hexa even last models have these issues big engine cars.

Similarly for types of fuels should be like
Number should be 1/4 =0.25.
