    Just FYI - on one of my devices (old laptop, Windows 10) I have a problem with volume on this and several other youtube channels; on my (also fairly elderly) android tablet, volume is absolutely _fine_ on everything.

    • @RainbowLane
      @RainbowLane  8 місяців тому

      Many thanks for that - I really appreciate you taking time to let me know. It is hard to explain to people that the volume is perfectly fine on all my devices and so I cannot explain why it is low for certain people - so this is really helpful. Thanks so much for watching too.🙏💕

    Awesome video - thank you! Just one question- after you cut out the square, how do you stick it so that it holds to the inside of the square tray pendant? Glue? Mod Podge? Thank you 😊

    • @RainbowLane
      @RainbowLane  6 місяців тому +1

      Hi, I use a variety of sticking options from double-sided tape to various glues. From memory I think I used a strong double sided tape for those pendants but I can’t say for certain. They are still stuck firm in the bezels after 2 years though. A thin layer of Dimensional Magic would hold them in too. Thanks for watching and reaching out. 🙏💕

      Hi Coringa, it’s a one inch square craft paper punch. I got mine on Amazon. If you have a local craft shop, ask for one there, but if you don’t have a craft shop, try Amazon if you can. Just search for one inch square paper punch. Hope you find one! Thanks so much for watching and reaching out. 🙏💕

    Is this true? Thank you. x

    • @RainbowLane
      @RainbowLane  Рік тому

      Hi Wendy, many thanks for your comment, glad you liked the video. Regarding your question - I am aware that people do say that alcohol ink fades but it’s not as straightforward as saying yes it does or no it doesn’t - it depends on a couple of factors. So what I’ll do is post a picture on my Community section that will help answer your question based on my experience - and it is only MY experience based on where my pieces have been kept and the climate I live in. Give me a few hours and I’ll either post a picture or a video short. I’ll let you know when it’s up on UA-cam. Thanks for watching and for a very good question. 🙏💕

    Hi there, thank you for sharing this creation, i was wondering if i could use Mod Podge instead of the PVA glue.

    • @RainbowLane
      @RainbowLane  2 роки тому +1

      Hi, you’re welcome and thanks for being here. I don’t see any reason why you couldn’t use Mod Podge instead of PVA. My guess is maybe use the glossy one. But in theory any Mod Podge should work as the aim is to make the inks run on the paper instead of being absorbed. I use PVA because it’s pretty inexpensive compared to Mod Podge in the UK. And I’ve never really been sure how standard Mod Podge is different to PVA - it seems finer but still works like PVA. Maybe test it out on a small piece of paper first? Let me know if it works. Thanks for watching. 🙏💕

    Beautiful work. Could I use photo paper to make this?

    • @RainbowLane
      @RainbowLane  Рік тому

      You might be able to use glossy photo paper but really you’d have experiment with it. I’m not sure how well it would scrunch up to get the ridges - probably best to try with a small piece of glossy photo paper like a 6x4 to see how it reacts. I just tried scrunching up a sheet of glossy 6x4 and it did go wrinkly and get ridges quite well but it made a really annoying squeaking sound! If you can put up with that maybe try it😍I’ll drip alcoholic inks on it when I get a moment and I’ll let you know how it goes. Thanks for watching and reaching out. 🙏❤️

    😮😮😮😢What is dimentional magic please?

    • @RainbowLane
      @RainbowLane  5 місяців тому

      It is a liquid that you can use in any crafts where you need to add dimension. For example, you could put small blobs on a card to look like tear drops because when it dries, it is raised up off the surface. But you can also use it as I have to put a thick coat over pendants in bezels. But you can also use it as a sealer, for example, to seal paper beads. Hopoe that helps. Thank you for watching. 🙏❤️

About the beads - I wish I could give proper credit but I accidentally closed the window without saving and can't remember her name, However, using Yupo, she cut two of those long triangles and folded them over each other and made puff beads??? for bracelets. still might be too much ink usage but the patterns were very pretty. @RainbowLane  Рік тому +2

      Thank you Wendy, I appreciate your comments. I agree, alcohol inks can be so bad for our health. It does worry me that the stuff we use in our arts and crafts might not be taken seriously enough from and health point of view. I was guilty of that myself but as I get older, I am more and more aware of the hazards to our skin and respiratory system of so many different art materials. Also fire hazards from alcohol based products. I watched a video recently of some poor girl who got very ill from using resin without a mask and proper ventilation and yet there are many people doing resin tutorials without mentioning the dangers. Thanks so much for watching and taking time to reach out. Glad you are someone who thinks about these things. 🙏💕

    Hi Gilly, another beautiful project. I really loved the pendants, and the beads too. As we can print them using your free printables the beads won't be expensive done that way. Then we can have matching pendants, earrings, bracelets and hair stick beads. I thought Yummy was asleep in the kitchen when I started your video, but she was quickly up on my lap to enjoy your voice again. Hi Allie, possibly but it might be a bit flimsy. I'm sure the inks would react the same way because I assume the paper wouldn't be pourous but I'm not sure what it would be like to handle and put into the bezels. My own preference would be something a little more robust. Have you tried it? Apologies for delay in getting back to you. Thanks for watching.🙏

      @RainbowLane  3 роки тому

      Well Diego, I could tell you that I like them best with (or without) couldn’t I? And whatever I tell you is down to my taste which could be completely different to yours. So really, you’ll need to experiment yourself and see what YOU like best. I could say that with is best, you get the product and then you hate the results. So my opinion is really worth nothing - see what I mean? I can only show you how I have chosen to do things.
