Great video, as always :) I'm saving money for my first velomobile, coin by coin. I've considered several models like Mango, Leiba Xstreme, Waw and lately the DF xl, which might be the one for me, too. But what I think that has been the most interesting concept currently is the Cycles jv LeMans. With it's big 26" wheels all the way, and a very streamlined body/hood with easy access is definitely a velomobile type that should be a killer maschine with a little further development :)
Actually, ordered my DFxl in October 2019. I've been riding this white/orange beast since April 2020 🤪 The best ride you can get, daytime or night time
In the hypothetical situation where I can afford one, I'd be torn between fast and practical. QV seems most practical, but a DFXL would be faster. However given the bad roads here, I think the QV would win for me.
Given your experience with the Quest and velomobiel.nl, I would have thought you would have gone with the QuattroVelo. Why would you pick the DF? Also, I have been looking at the QuattroVelo+. I am 203cm, do you think I would have a better chance in the QuattroVelo+ or in the DFXL (or some other velomobile)?
This was almost a year ago. If you’d ask now which would be my next velomobile, the answer would be Quattrovelo, because of the possibility to get child seat. At 203 cm you should go for QV+ or DFxl or maybe Quest. You need all the extra space 😄
The type of velomobile that I would need is one that has a way for easier entry and exit and an electric assist due to various surgeries throughout the years. I would be using the velomobile as my main source of transportation. So, I would be commuting and tour riding also. Especially after being hit a total of two times within the past year while riding a recumbent tadpole trike. So, do you have any other suggestions in regards to the purchase of a velomobile. Or even designing one?
@@TheVelomobileChannel, I took a look at the particular velomobile you mentioned. And, that would work for within town at least but I wouldn't see myself touring within it.
Really good Vlog Saukki ,answers a lot of the questions for the newbies.I'm not poasting anything at the moment as i am just too busy with work ect.
I have a Carbon Quest, I fully agree with your consideration and suggestions.
Thank u for sharing Saukki. I wish there is velomobile manufacturer near Malaysia. Shipping cost from Europe is very expensive.
Great video again.
Very crisp with pertinent information.
The Quest seems like it is really good at many things with the exception of maintenance.
Thank you for video. Will you do a video on how steering on velomobile works.
Might be a good idea, thanks!

Good list! Thanks Saukki.

I think many velomobile buyers are strugling with the same question. Seems that those two are the most intresting options at the moment.

@@TheVelomobileChannel I might have to pedal from the child seat 🤣

In my opinion the easiest entry an exit of models I have tested myself is Arcus velomobile.

And, I do agree this is a great video.

Ever tried a Milan, Saukki?
Unfortunately not. Would be interesting, though.
