Awesome interview!!! I met them both at a convenience in Charlotte, NC. Both were amazingly friendly and genuine. I told Nikita about watching him on TBS Superstation Channel 17 as a kid every Saturday!!! Magnum was like a superhero to me then and when he wrecked his Porsche I was devastated. I put the best of 7 series that they together as being among the greatest rivalries in ALL of pro wrestling. Glad that we still have these legends to share stories of the glory days with us 💪🏾🇺🇸🔥🇺🇸🔥🇺🇸🔥✊🏿
That’s Magnum? Holy Crap. Well, we’re all certainly gettin old, huh? He does sound great though. Goin from perhaps the brightest young star in the business to just hoping you can walk again had to have (pardon the expression) wrecked him psychologically as well. But somehow he made it through. Great to see he and Nikita at these fan fests. Thanks so much for the memories guys. 🙏✌
I’ve been devouring pro wrestling history off UA-cam since the pandemic, and this is a great interview to come across right after I watched two of their classic matches from ‘86. I grew up in Va Beach, and back then Magnum TA was as big as Hulk Hogan around here.
I do remember Magnum TA ,s car accident on Oct of 1986 year. Nikita Koloff took Magnum TA place as American Dream Dusty Rhodes Super Power Partner as the Super Power in NWA in 1986 year.
It was amazing that they were such strong rivals in WCW until the accident that took Magnum's career. Before that though, more amazing that for rivals on the camera, they were friends off the camera.
If I were granted three wishes, one of them would be that Magnum TA and Brock Lesnar would switch places or more precisely switch futures. Magnum TA defeats Ric Flair and wins the NWA World Championship and Brock Lesnar ends up in the car accident that forces him out of wrestling before his undeserved title match with The Rock at Summerslam.
I do remember NWA Wrestlers Magnum TA and Nikita Koloff in the 1980,s under Jim Crockett Wrestling Promotions. They do remember Magnum TA and Nikita Koloff personal feud.
I know that he doesn't have to sell or be a tough guy but I think Terry's (Magnum) mic skills are actually BETTER now then when he was working or after when he did some announcing. I thought looked uncomfortable but now... He's funny and easy going but I guess that comes with not having to be Intense. Magnu. T. I. = Totally Intense. You could stand next him back then and feel the vibrations of Intense Energy.

There were actually 8 matches. Bob Giegel refereed a match that ended in double dq or count out.
Two of my all time favorite wrestlers,

I remember Magnum in Mid-South; Nikita took his place as babyface with Dusty after his accident. Loved Nikita beating up the Road Warriors.
