I feel like the a-holes were usually the top ones. It's an unfortunate aspect of the business where to be on top, you gotta be willing to stomp on others faces to get there. (There are a few exceptions obviously, but most of the time I mean).

These podcasts are to make money. So they often bash the top guys because it gets views. IWC are mostly sheep with zero common sense & believe everything they hear. How many of these undercard guys have multiple episodes bashing guys like Shawn Michaels because he was a big meanie. Guy’s like Rene Dupree & Paul London blame everyone else for their shortcomings

@@johncook9392and apparently HBK was superficially decent after he found religion, but he could still be cold if he thought you were beneath him. Not very “Christian,” but that’s what I’ve heard. I might have heard it on the channel from Stevie. And that’s where I think AEW is like WWF in the mid 90s when they were struggling. The so called “Elite” are like the Kliq with less talent and they go around burying guys they don’t like. Bret Hart did the opposite. He elevated guys he thought had talent. The main reasons we got the Attitude Era were that Vince suddenly realized he was a heel after the Bret incident, HBK left the company and that left the door open for guys like Austin and Rock, who Bret had elevated, to take main event spots. That wouldn’t have happened if Shawn was still on the main roster. And the company would have suffered as a result.

0:43 I met Scott Hall at a club in Nashville called Denim & Diamonds back in 2002. He was there with Sean Waltman on a Wed night. Scott acted like a prick that night when I tried to talk to him. Sean was too busy trying to find a shot girl or bartender to take home…. I also met you Stevie… at the same club. You came in with Crash Holly. Both of you got on the karaoke stage and shot a promo. You guys were really nice and cool to be around, although Crash was also trying to find someone to take home

The problem with these rankings is Stevie is too nice. Lol. That’s actually a compliment, even though it sounds backhanded. Seriously, no one would rank all these guys B or better (the C doesn’t count based on Stevie’s actual comments… Orton he really said was better than that). This is clearly more a reflection on Stevie than these wrestlers. The only way Stevie rates these guys this well is if HE is a good guy. These guys obviously respect and appreciate Stevie. This list reflects more on him than the guys he rated.

No but really I’ve meet CMPunk once and I was really scared. I wasn’t on my A game. My son had passed away a few months before and I wasn’t even gonna go but it was that or cry in bed and it was a gift and I didn’t want to be rude. So I crawled out of bed and went. By myself I might add. Idk if he could sense something was wrong with me or what but he may be the nicest person I’ve ever met. And not just because he’s my favorite. It was the comic con in January before he left WWE in 2014. So I’m glad I went. We didn’t talk much but I’ve got my pic (I’d love an updated one with us old) and I listened to his stories. Which took my mind off things for a couple hrs. I know now he was really sick. So I’m even more grateful HE went.
Please keep up the series I could listen forever! 💖

Something off with all the Undertaker praising. You hear former wrestlers saying what a great leader he was, but Stevie says that he didn't even seem approachable to him.
Mark was probably a very political guy with a certain demeanor to him, and people say nice things about him due to a certain amount of peer pressure. Everyone else respects him, so you figure that you should respect him too even if you look at him differently... that's my guess.

For instance Taker was part of the wrestler's court along with guys like JBL... That's quite political to me.
Taker once dressed down Matt Hardy in front of the locker room in a very condescending way... Again political.
