No! Surprisingly good workflow in final cut, event tried in iMovie and it worked fine!

Don’t know, just confirming that it works even in iMovie. My MacBook Pro 16 inch is fully specd though.

@@nobatechnology Thanks! I was looking at the wooden camera option packages to rig it, but jeez they're expensive. I think I can make my own rig with what I got and looking at smallrig parts to build it out.

how much run time are you getting from the BP955's?
For the longest time I was getting as advertised. Few hours per, but I feel like the latest software update has been draining them faster. Could be wrong...

Just depends on if you shoot in low medium or high quality setting. On low quality with a 128 gb CFAST 2.0 card I can record for 32 minutes

I'm not a RED owner, but do have two BMPC4Ks and I'm always interested in ideas that may help with my journey, tech or otherwise. I like you choice of gimbal, as I'm waiting for mine to arrive after doing a lot of research and navel gazing. The Crane 2s was on the radar, but with no information on its max weight capacity (noting that the Crane 3s needs an extra power pack to make full use of its capacity) and that no one in any review placed a heavy camera/rig on the 2s, I decided against it. I have two older light-weight FeiyuTech gimbals and they will carry more than their stated weight. Hopefully the shape of the BMPCC4K rigged out won't affect things too much, but I was able to mount the BMPCC4K on the A2000 in a more basic configuration, so the AK4500 should work OK.
Yeah I was always impressed by the ak4500 it could even take my 1dx mark ii with a decent lens on it!

Or should I buy the XEEN 24 mm cinema lens ? .. I also saw IRIX LENS FOR RED KOMODO, I don't know what kind of lens is best for this camera. If you could help me I will be really grateful 🙏 which cinema lens is the best ? I have 2k to spend on the lens..
Depends on if you want autofocus capabilities. Honestly I like sticking to native RF glass personally. If you can save for it, the zeiss otus would be awesome!

Does the RED Komodo output at 23.98 60i? I think a Ninja Atomos could tell you if that's true or not. I need to shoot

Good question, I was debating this today. I still think I like the Komodo better currently but I am doing some more research. I like some features on the c70 better like the built in nd filters and the mini xlrs
NOBA TECH do you think the quality and workflow of the Komodo justify sacrificing features in the c70 like AF, built in ND, and xlrs?
I’m good without the built in nd but I’ll be recording audio externally probably anyways and Komodo also has AF! Pretty good too
If you are mostly in run&gun situation like documentary, i think the C70 is better, it is also quite stealthy for a cinema camera, if you are mainly in narrative stuff get the komodo. You can also wait for the fx6, all 3 are amazing tools. The cuteness factor on the komodo, the GS and 16bit raw are huge imho. Btw i wonder if the canon RF speedbooster will work on the komodo ?

I have the Pilotfly H2 45. Can it handle the Komodo? (in other words, can your H2 handle the Komodo?)
I don’t know if the payload is the same but if it’s got the 45 angle and if you use a small lens I think it might be able to handle the Komodo. No monitor no extra handle or anything else though. I think just shear weight with a small lens could work
My H2 can’t work for it because of clearance but it can handle the weight with a tiny lens

Where is your video with all the Komodo test footage that you said you would post? Looked through your videos and didn't see any Red video...after you posted this one.
since it’s covid it’s been hard to compile the kind of footage I really want to showcase outdoors, at the beach, while camping in the mountains or even at a wedding, so I’ve been slowly compiling that kind of footage. I definitely want to post more Komodo specific content soon! However, if you want to see quality of footage and me learning how to color grade this red raw footage, ALL videos since that Komodo accessories video have been shot on the Komodo. You’ll see a huge jump in the color grading after the first few. So this will give you a good idea of the Komodo footage in studio.

Since it’s covid, I haven’t been able to travel and film the real follow up footage I’ve been wanting.
