They don't make talent like this anymore! His sense of color, and everything about this man's taste is terrific! He's a symphony of instruments that just all comes together at the right time. My eyes just can't soak in enough of it at one time. Thank you for allowing me to watch the wonderful video. Slowly losing eyesight and it's wonderful to be able to see such cozy and charm.
I love Scott's maximalist approach to a small space. I totally understand not wanting to leave the house when everything you love is so attractively displayed. And the books, the beautiful books! Many blessings to all!
I love that Scot's favorite thing in the entry is the portrait of his mother that hung over the fireplace in their home in Mississippi! It is so nice to be surrounded by loved ones and makes it feel like they are still with us.
You can take the boy outta Mississippi, but……. (I married a Mississippi guy.)

This is a prime example of how curating loved furnishings and accessories over time truly does define a home. I would never have guessed they have only been in this apartment a couple of years.
The Ralph Lauren influence is strong which I love! He had me at tartan and gingham!
Because of this homeworthy episode, I’ve decided to appreciate my daughter decoration sabbatical style. Kudos to my daughter home style, maximalist and unapologetic.
I couldn't stop smiling from beginning to end. I wish it would go on and on and on... With so much to worry about in the world these days, between war, inflation, starvation, and eviction, with prices for us working folks making us wring our hands, I needed a lift, and this video allowed me to forget for a few delightful minutes. What a home. So much, and so many great stories told by such a delightful gentleman. Five Stars*****

Many years... Moved the entire houseful from SF to NYC. in Brooklyn 2 years, but the stuff had been collected from all over & over a long time. And long distances! Lol.
Love him! And the apartment is perfect! I want to snuggle on the sofa in green room with coffee and book! Others have mentioned his beautiful mother’s portrait. What a treasure. She’s just lovely!❤

Love this home and all the plaid/tartan and the English teatime! Love the red teapot and this gentleman seems like someone you would love to sit and have a cup of tea with! He even made the plate of cookies look beautiful! I love the coziness and all the books! I could read books for hours in the library, all summer long with a glass of ice cold lemonade! Love it all!
I absolutely love the apartment tour! Thank you so much for inviting us in, Scott! I knew you must be a southern when you said “y’all” 😊 then my heart skipped a beat at the very end when you set tea. The bamboo tray… the same one all southern ladies had in the 50s and 60s to host parties and serve a crowd. Plates were never on laps, always plenty of those trays to take to the porches and sofas. I can still vividly see my mothers stack of at least a dozen on top of the laundry room fridge. I would love to know if that was also your mothers tray. Great tour!
I just noticed the dog on the garden stool. I have the same dog which was purchased years ago at an antique shop in Tennessee.
This apartment must be such a refuge from the bustle of New York. It could easily be a country home in the middle of nowhere. So lovely and inviting.
When I was in high school, I went with my buddy's family to an antique store tucked away in San Francisco. The place was crazy, it was just packed with wild stuff (there was a small case with glass eyes, that I still think about). His apartment reminds me of that store--I left there thinking, "Someday, I am going to have a place just like that!" I've yet to achieve that for my whole home, but my office and TV room shelves are a crazy combination of things that make me happy. His apartment makes me happy.
One individual's "whimsy" is another individual's "hoarder." This place certainly makes an intriguing statement! One more fabulous reason I love this channel so much, looking forward to more!

It looks like they’ve lived there forever! Just wonderful. As a Scot I am astounded at how he made his tartan upholstered pieces and blankets so chic! He also has a fantastic sense of humour.

Love this home 💕I’m also a maximalist. I know it’s in to be a minimalist but I could never make that move. I love beautiful things. And if I had to downsize and choose things to get rid of I don’t think I could. Please show more homes like this!!!💕💕

This video brought back some lovely 1960s childhood memories. My friend’s mother would drive us from South Orange, NJ into the city to shop …and Abercrombie & Fitch was one of the stores that we all loved the best.
When I first saw this video I thought “oh no, awful”. Not my taste. Then as we were taken through the space I began to understand it and by the (all too quick) end, I loved it. 🥰

It wouldn’t surprise me to learn he designed that entire apartment around mom’s portrait and great-grandma’s quilt. And who doesn’t love that quilt?? That said, with everyone doing stone/quartz/mid-mod/wide grey plank flooringzzzzzzzzzz it’s always refreshing to see someone put their personal signature on their living space. This guy definitely knows what he likes and its genuine so it works. Love the piano transitions, like Mr. Rogers's trolley rolling through.
Fantastic space. Wonderfully colorful walls and textiles. Interesting artwork everywhere. Fabulous collections--the owls and the teacups. Tasteful items juxtaposed with kitschy ones. And books, books, books. My obsession so I love seeing other homes filled with books. But books aside, I loved the whole look and feel of this home. It lives. Thank you for sharing it with us.

Beautiful, comfy, cozy space. And Scot, i love and have to find and get that beautiful Meacham tartan you designed after your namesake. That golden yellow with red pops and was the first thing I noticed when you entered the room. One can definitely see the Ralph Lauren influence with the relaxed, stylish, lived-in sensibility and layering.

I’m so very claustrophobic that’s looking at this apartment triggered me. If it were about 10 feet bigger in each direction it would be joyful. I love the way it’s decorated it’s just too much in that tiny tiny space.

What a jewel box of a home!
I'm not a fan of the preppy or the English cottage look but I still love this home. Minimalism and the beige or white everything trend is so boring to me. It ends up looking like everyone has the same home.
The people in the comments talking about how they can't believe he's a designer or worked at RL clearly haven't ever been to an RL store lol. I used to go past one all the time over the span of years and they looked very much like this. They also clearly only know one style of interior design. If you're going to make a comment about someone's home, please be more knowledgeable on the subject.

Oh my, I love Scott. The space has so much character and amazing things. In love with that collection of Abercrombie owls 🦉 😍 .and that painting he got from Ralph Lauren is everything. LOVED seeing all the animals, am obsessed with bringing the outside in. And those gallery walls 😍 Obsessed!
