Wow, his mother looks like she was the coolest woman with immensely good taste. The apartment is beautifully done and they are very lucky to have the outdoor area. I like that they use the antiques and pieces from family unlike many young people who don't want their parents things.
These two mixed eras, cultures, colors in a unique seamless style that is warm and welcoming. Reflects them both. It was a privilege to visit you. Thank you.
Wonderful, I am an Achitect who retired and live in a beautiful Victorian Mansion on the first floor comprising some 1800 SF. I have filled it with art from the Guilded Age period and how the house would have been decorated in 1890 by the folks who first lived there. The original owners were a wealthy Jewish family who were originally born in the 1840's! They are buried in the oldest Jewish cemetery in Louisville. I love knowing the history of my house!! I loved your personal tour and beautifully appointed house!!
Can’t help thinking that if the world just held more souls like these two gentlemen, appreciator’s of beauty and refinements, it would be a far, far lovelier place to abide! Charming couple and apartment!

Neither my husband nor I have ever had a tv-we read and talk to each other, or work on hobbies. This is a gorgeous apartment with so many wonderful treasures. The homeowner’s mother was a beautiful woman, and I imagine she had the most amazing stories about her travels. Thank you for sharing this lovely couple and their home!

My God. My brain has refused to reconcile such exquisite taste with the young age of the owners. I could watch this forever.
Normally I’m not interested in looking at a home that has so much furniture and decor pieces.
However I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed the tour of this beautiful home.
I enjoyed learning about the provenance of the art, furniture etc.
I appreciate how masterfully everything works together, that’s talent!

This was so interesting...there is certainly a lot going on in this home but it is lovely and so well done. It is so nice to see how much he appreciates and honors all of his family heirlooms.
I can only imagine more of the wonderful things they can do when they finally decide to buy their own home. Renting no matter what will always have a limit.

Fabulous place ! I love the decor and the guys, as well. Its nice that Blake was so close to his mother...she had exquisite taste. This place, although in NYC, has the polished, electic vibe of true, old-money, Philadelphia Main Line.
This is a modern apartment and I aware that most people will default to the "Before" aesthetic. Thank you for showing us what could happen, when you commit to an authentic personality.
Allison, you keep hitting it out of the park with each home tour! This home was a treasure and you could tell how dear each piece object was to the owners which is what a home is all about. Its all about surrounding yourself with things that you love and memories of people and places. Well done, look forward to more of such homes.
I'm not into antiques everywhere, but I loved how the home was designed, especially the personal connections. Such a sweet couple; you could feel their admiration for each other.

I love this home tour, just when I thought I had a homeworthy favorite this one comes along. I felt as if I was at the most interesting interior design class ever. I love the way each art piece was so elegantly explained such a beautiful home it warmed my heart. Oh and can't forget Mason de puea and a couple of glasses of rose'. The biggest smile ever on a empty Tuesday.

This is so special that you included so many family heirlooms into your apartment. The apartment may be small but it lives like a large home. Thank God, finally a designer that doesn’t have gray on gray on gray square boring furniture. I love 💕 your space. When you pulled out the gold flatware I almost fainted, to own such a piece of history! I’m from the south and your job on the mantle is spot on, it just says “Well hello there, I have good taste and class”.

So much inherited provenance, so knowledgeable in essentially each purchase/piece. Your beautiful mother was smart to collect as much as she did, and to keep it in such excellent shape! "Gentleman traveler" style is an apt description. Blake gets a lot of credit for the interior design and for styling objects and art, but only partial credit for collecting, since many or most of his pieces are inherited.
Such refinement, class, and elegance. I didn't truly capture the design aesthetic until the stories and history came through about each delicate piece. Watching this was like going to a mind spa. Exquisite!

A beautifully curated space. I adore the stories behind so many of the pieces. And I especially love the mix and use of color. Too many today use a neutral palette and beige is NOT a color.
