There's something amusing, like a historical joke we're unaware of or like an old lady knowing something about the past everyone else has no clue about, when it comes to the cat trying to destroy a 2000 year old Roman piece.
I don’t know who or what I like more - the home, the spaces and objects, the history, the couple, his voice, her voice….I just know if I went and had tea with them in one of their rooms it would instantly increase my IQ…are they keen on adopting a 59yo from New Zealand 🇳🇿?
Could you kindly teach the Minimalists a thing or two about true class pleaae. So much blandness in their homes and yet look at how magical your home looks. A story at every turn. Maximalists are extremely intentional about their "stuff". It's not just "stuff" every purchase has a story. This home is both delightful and exquisite!
I started laughing when he was talking about the cat flicking things off the mantlepiece. I collect antiques and have active cats it is a constant struggle to not have them do this; I have invested in a fair amount of double stick tape :)
Living in California, I've learned of something called Museum Wax, also called Earthquake Wax. It can be used to temporarily secure fragile objects to shelves... :)
Lovely home, lovely people. Even with all those amazing objects etc around the house, it still felt very homely and lived in. Their love for their home and each other really showed. Thank you.
The Chaos Room at Christmas time is a Thousand Degrees!!! Fires are hot only thing to do is open windows and doors! Great story and Beautiful home! Lovely couple! 🇺🇸♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Good morning Kirsten and Joerg, What a lovely surprise to see you , there. What a gorgeous home and talented and elegant couple, as you are. See you soon on your on vlog. Thank you Will and Charlotte and thank you Kirsten and Joerg !♡☆
@@angelaberni8873 Rome is Greek look into history, they've taken everything from Greeks heck half of Italy is Greek, even 'italian' food is Greek Lasagne, pizza, the word pasta macaroni and on and on.
Most of them were Hellenic, and a few were Roman. You can distinguish them from their facial expressions and the details on the busts. Roman art was based on Greek art, not to mention Magna Grecia, the Greek colonies around modern southern Italy.
i could easily spend a day (ok overnight) at their home just listening to the stories behind every treasure they have on display. more of these homes please.
Absolutely splendid! It's an old house that looks old; a perfect backdrop for their wonderful collections. So many places are redone to look 'slick', with black shiny marble and polished chrome or brass. The word that comes to mind with this place is 'patina'. While it evokes the fascination of a museum, it is comfortable and not fussy. I will have to learn more about this very interesting couple.
Exactly ... Looks old. I was looking at an advert to sell ny townhouse. Comments said, bravo, does not look like a spaceship or a fridge... I say bravo to this house too.
I love the house and got a kick out of the Museum Putty. I live in CA and have cats so it's part of my survival kit. Heads-up the last time we had a brown out it got hot. And it does not hold up well in heat.
So many decorating and design videos on UA-cam that are hardly worth a glance. I've watched this several times and just love everything about their style and home. Wonderful to look at. Makes me want to go looking for more antiques for my own home which I should not do....
Ooooooh, you made my day! I wish you would publish a video every day. Its always soooooo so delightful to see these beautiful, well loved and well cared for homes.
Yes, Bengal and Savannah cats are great fun. Will have to try the sticky tack trick to keep them from pushing things off the shelves. I put all my nice stuff away, not as nice as your stuff, 😉😂😺. btw, the leather funiture is my cats fav thing to destroy. Only one still pushes stuff off surfaces.
These two are so personable. It’s heartening to know that down beneath it all they are just a loving family with children and cats. Magnificent history.
Good evening, a beautiful house with the harmony of antiques, which made me feel like I live in the aesthetic of the eighteenth century. Their taste is really classy.
From All this "Design Notes" This is by far my fav! I feel so much represented with the aesthetics and objects. Like at my place in Vienna, Austria. Definitely Different because is "a la Vienesse" but have this incredible temperature and pulse, and eclectic objects! Lovit! I save it in my favorites! Tnx H&G!
This is one of my favourite! Gives a beautiful small museum vibe. Not sure about the decor and proportions BUT love the collection. Absolutely stunning, I could spend hours on end just looking at each piece. Thanks for sharing. ❤️
Love exists! That’s my feeling after watching this video. Thank you so much for showing us your house, perfect house, and your sense of humor and values, really charming couple.
I love the British and how quirky the culture is. North America is all about shiny and new and has no history in it’s interior design. Thus when you watch interior design shows the homes have the same aesthetic. These folks on this channel have a personal story to each item and what it means to them which I love!!
Americans have always been about polish and proving/showing they have money or style, but the English have always been about downplaying that sort of thing
This has always been my favourite interior. I can remember 8 years ago travelling to London to visit Jamb just to be immersed in their ascetic. When my daughter studied at Camberwell College of Arts I remembered this house was in the same borough. Absolute perfection ❤️
Delightful earthy couple. Absolutely amazing home, so much soulful history cleverly dispersed within the confines. Love the beautiful dog. And just catching a glimpse of the garden, my heart danced.
This is my very cup of tea! I'm a very traditional person even though my kids disagree with it. 😂. Many of the things I own right now includes paintings worth around £1000 , a set of China plates, etc I found them inside the bloody bins. Yeah, here where we live at the moment people throw away almost anything! It's crazy! But it's good for me 🤗
I am verry fascinated to see this house, room to room well organized, neat and attractive. Looks luxurious, very detailed. Even the garden is touched with high art style. Greetings from Indonesia..
Wonderful house, interiors, pieces of sculptures, fire places... everything! One thing I could never forgive: the cat throwing the roman pieces of sculpture from above the fire place.

I love the double light fixture on the kitchen island!
This was a delight to watch. I could spend hours and hours looking at all of the beautiful details of each room. Thank you for sharing.
Yesssss...the video it's too short hahaha
I completely agree!
I KNOW we would hit it off… spending an afternoon with them would be delightful ♥️
Love his personality, so much! Don't know who he is, but he's charming and so is his lovely wife. I adore their home!
I really enjoyed this video. I love the Dog, he
is so cute.
Thank you for this video,
Jeff
I love homes like this ! Full of surprises, not stylized! Artsy.

You made my day. Agreed!❤️
Make that siblings...I'm available for adoption too! You can find me in the garden distracting the cat from destroying the valuables.😅
You can't possibly be worse than their cat. So join the queue of curious orphans!
I am available to keep the cat entertained and out of trouble. Can I come too?😹
Ha great wit!
I just love this guy, so Properly English. Beautiful wife and home as well.

Now that‘s my style! Faux multi- generational. Lovely. And lovely people. Great Story about the cat.
Utterly charming home.....the nicest people always let their pets roam on the beds and sofas, no matter what they cost!!!
Very much appreciated this video on so many levels; a significant one being the English humor.

What a lovely couple and a stunning home - and a naughty kitty cat! 🐱
What a gorgeous, lived in home. You just can't buy this feeling in a weekend. It takes time.... and sometimes a Bengal cat. Thanks for posting this!
Authentic classical pieces in a genuinely understated country home.

I thought I heard them mention Rome a few times. I must have missed the Greece bit.

Positano was named after Poseidon on and on Capri was founded by Greeks..
One of my favorites thus far. Him talking about the cat hurling off such lovely sculptures truly had me cackling.
Delightful and hilarious. I’m sure they know how rarefied their world is, but their passion is infectious. The dog doesn’t care though.
This was beautiful and pretty hilarious! Loved the authenticity of the couple! It made me laugh out loud...(cat and dog bed...lol)
Exquisite home and beautiful collection.
This is to see you can make you house warm and cozy, to decor with antique collection , I not only like , I love.
Absolutely gorgeous. I think I've seen photographs but the moving video does it far more justice.

Maliciously flipping things off of the mantle piece 😂😂 I absolutely love English people and their humor
Beautiful home. Thanks for sharing.
"Value has nothing to do with it." I like the way they are both are passionate about their stuff. I love the most expensive dog bed. Great video.

Such a beautiful house. What a lovely couple.
There were peeks of his outdoor garden. Wish you had covered the garden in detail. Looked quite enchanting and tranquil.
"the level of excitement in copying it", love that, the art of curating and copying and creating something new of one's own is truly exciting.
Cool, old world charm and elegance. So beautiful. Who wouldn’t love to live in a home like this?! ❤
Adorable and sweet attentions for one another. Love it
