I love seeing young men like yourself listening to the same music I was half a century ago and feeling the same things I did when I was listening to them back then. I wish you could have seen them live back in the day. It was an experience you never forgot. Keep it up!
They are truly one of the greatest band ever their timeless classic album Dark Side of the Moon was still one of the most selling albums for almost 25 years they have so many hits, you should check out Dark Side of the moon The wall albums they have some truly timeless songs
That first guy you saw on guitar is a backup touring musician, not part of the band. This concert took place at Earls Court, London after traveling throughout the United States that year in 1994. It would turn out to be Pink Floyd's last tour. Fun fact.. something that's never mentioned... This concert was broadcast live around the world when it happened. I think it cost me around $30 or $40 to watch it live on cable that night. And I had already seen them live at Soldier Field in Chicago that summer. But what you don't get seeing them in person are the nice juicy close-ups and perfectly framed stage shots that you see here. So it was very much worth it.
The second Guitarist is Tim Renwick. Also, second keyboard is Jon Carin, second percussion is Gary Wallis. These great additions make it possible for PF to better duplicate their studio recordings, where overdubs are used by Gilmour, Wright, and Mason.
This is Earl's Court in London which seats about 19,000. Also I'll add that this same concert sold out 15 nights in a row so that's more than a quarter of a million people and you add it up!!!
I love watching young people get introduced to the music that helped me grow (Pink Floyd/David Gilmour, Zeppelin, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Eric Clapton, Rolling Stones especially). It rejuvenates my loves for these classics, watching young people react to the classics like this. I'll have to catch up on some of your other reactions. Enjoy these timeless classics!
Awesome Silas, keep spreading the good word in music history !! It was interesting watching both your reactions, Your cousin Clark's attention to something new...and you with your smile cause you know what's coming..both equally great to see !! Maybe Clark needs to hear "Sorrow" or "Comfortable Numb"...You Silas are now an ambassador to great rock music to people who have yet to hear and appreciate
Was at this show and their 88 show-been listening to them since I was in HS (1978) Good to see you guys enjoying some “oldies!” Get a cold beverage and strap-in for Shine on you Crazy Diamond. 🤘🏼❤️👍🏼 (My apologies-you’ve done it!) Gonna have to subscribe now! 🫡
ok guys this was recorded in 1994 at earles court in london england .ithad a seating capacity of 14,000 they played i think 14 nights .. needless to say sold out every night . it was an indoor areana now demoloshed . it was the best concert i have ever witnessed live and ive lots of big shows ...
This is awesome now that you’re adding more friends and family to join. If you think this was great, you would love Take It Back from this same concert.
Love and warm regards from Cologne Germany. Here any facts: The concerts of the "DIVISION BELL TOUR" featured even more special effects ( On the day of the concerts, the airspace above the respective city was closed for several hours for safety reasons due to the laser show !!! ) than the previous tour of even other bands and artist tours ever and it was in 1994, including two custom designed airships. They also used an Antonov military cargo plane plus 2 x cargo Boeing 747s. 3 seperate stages leapfrogged around North America and Europe, each of that stages 180 feet (55 m) long and featuring a 130 foot (40 m) arch resembling the Hollywood Bowl venue. One stage in use, one being dismantled from the previous venue and one being set up at the next. They need 3-4 days to building on stage up 3 days for re-building.When Pink Floyd performed this in the US, they traveled with 4 48' military grade mobile generators. 1994 there wasn't a stadium built with enough electrical input to run the Pink Floyd show. That was also new for the American´s. The US Army said: "Ok, that´s cool project and makeable for us - let´s do it for the american audience - But we are always there! Is that understood and clear!?" - Answer Gilmour: "Yes Sir it is clear, thanks a lot, then let´s go. You will not regret it". I Think they don´t regret it. That's what happens when you forget to give a budget figure to your lighting effects designer. That sound comes from a 220,000 watt sound system. The glitter ball from "Comfortably Numb" was over 15ft (4,6 m) in diameter, and the lasers were a new experimental design, and Pink Floyd cornered the entire world's supply at the time. All in all, the tour required 700 tons of steel carried by 53 articulated trucks, a crew of 161 people and an initial investment of US$ 4 million plus US$ 25 million of running costs just to stage. This tour played to 5.5 million people in 68 cities; each concert gathered an average audience of more then 45,000. In summary, it is the most elaborate live tour project of all times to date. The planning alone took 3 years. The tour (not the planning) was sponsored by Volkswagen.
this was an era when there was really talented artist there was no autotune. These were people that could really perform. I’m so happy to see you young people getting into this music.
There werent 80,000 people there. It was recorded at Earl's Court in London, maximum capacity about 20,000. The previous tour was at Wembley stadium and the capacity there was 72,000 for concerts and thats a much bigger venue. And yes, i was at both. The night the stand collapsed during this tour, so about 2.01 times as the first night lasted about 2 minutes.
Hello it's Steve from Montreal again talking about Pink Floyd I saw them twice in the mid-70s Dark Side of the Moon tour and the pig tour after greatest show I've ever seen in my life and I saw a lot of shows my friend keep up the great reactions you make me laugh your fun really cool guy
More,More,More,Pink Floyd! Listen to “Run like hell” or “mother” or maybe “have a cigar” and don’t forget about “another brick in the wall part 2” Great reaction and love the song! After 30 years of hearing these song I still listen to them and get the same feeling when I heard them the first time!
I saw Pink Floyd 3 times, once in the 1970's, once in the 1980's, and on their farewell Division Bell tour in 1994. I'm an old hippie and 2 of the 3 times I saw Floyd halucinagenics may have been involved, which was excellent for the laser light show. 😃😳🤯😂✌️
Pink Floyd Darkside of the moon album and Wish you were here album and The Wall album are three albums that every song is fire the music never stops it's continual there is a movie Pink Floyd The Wall it's badass
Great work Silas, spreading the word about the legendary Pink Floyd. Clark welcome to the extended family my friend. Silas maybe show him Run Like Hell or One Of These Days or Sorrow next time so he can see the other side of Floyd
Definitely had your cousin back on. But if you want to jump to what you would think of as raw Pink Floyd, as he suggested, you do kind of have to go back or at least in my view to the Syd Barrett era, and for example do See Emily Play, which was a hit at the time and considered to be a pivotal moment in certain kinds of music.
Thank you, Silas, for introducing some else to Pink Floyd. While this might not be the best representation of "the Pink Floyd sound", it definitely will suffice. Good video!
I'm watching Gen Z (+) react to Pink Floyd and it's the same as me the 1st time. Like these fucking guys made music that transcends generations and will continue to do so like forever, like Bach and Mozart. Shits wild. Silas Bailey, not only are you adorable but you have the blackest white guy name ever!!! Lolololol.
Silas - I’m really surprised at you! You claim that you’re a Pink Floyd fan and love this concert and yet you didn’t know the venue where it was held, nor even that it was in London! Are you really a fan?

The big thing is no Roger Waters. He was the original bassist and primary songwriter for the band. David Gilmour on guitar & lead vocals, Richard Wright on keyboards, and Nick Mason on drums. The rest you see are tour support musicians.
@@flubblert I wasn't referring to the look or sound of this show. He didn't know which of the musicians he was seeing are the main Pink Floyd band members. That's what I was commenting on.
Wonderful that you shared with your cousin. But why this song? Underwhelming as a first listen. He didn’t get full effect of the light show, nor Gilmore’s electric guitar, nor backup singers. Run like Hell would have been good….Comfortably Numb, Shine On……so he could see what a visual spectacle it was. His comment about “it’s interesting to see how far special effects have come since then” made me laugh. I doubt this will make him want more Floyd.
Well said and the fact that he says he's a fan yet doesn't even remember the names of the band members I believe he said he's seen 10 or 12 songs from this concert, and I know he's listened to countless other songs by PF... a fan I think not🤔
I think Clarke would have had a much more enthusiastic reaction if you had played the original studio version. You can’t deny it’s infinitely better. I’m not impressed by this version myself.
Two such handsome intelligent and articulate young men. I'm sure your grandparents must be very proud. (Said as someone old enough to be your granny).
That grin on your face and the smile on your cousin's face, priceless.
More Pink Floyd with your Cousin please.

I’ve been listening to them since before your parents were born. They never get old.
This concert is not the highest production of its time.
Its the highest production of all time!!!!!!!
It's like giving someone a Pop-Tart for the first time. That may not be the best song to start with. But, I love it.
No No NO Silas, Time should have been your cousin's first song. David's solo in Time is priceless. 😎
Pulse was at Earls Court in London.

Earls Court London they did like 14 straight nights🔥🔥🔥

You jus gotta introduce him to "Comfortably Numb" at Pulse! (It was London)
I hope you will share him the Echoes’ live at pompei experience
Nightwish also do a Pink Floyd cover of High Hopes
Surprised only ONE reaction song with your cousin.... might have hoped for more.

I would love it if you reviewed Peter Gabriel's "So" and "Us" albums. He is a fantastic singer and writes his own music and lyrics.
Have him listen to the entire 'Dark Side of the Moon' album. That would be my choice to introduce someone new to Pink Floyd.
I think he likes Pink Floyd 😊.

Hey guys, God bless David Gilmour and the music of Pink Floyd
Show Clark "Comfortably Numb" from Pulse. You want to talk about production? Nothing more than "Comfortably Numb!
If he wants hardcore, show him Run Like Hell from the same concert.
If there was a bio film of Matthew McConaughey's life your cousin could easily play his teenage/20's years :)
With a hair dye of course. lol
David Gilmour, singing like a guitar is too much. His voice since never change.
I am amazed you picked a track where David Gilmour isn't playing electric guitar. 🤔
You should show your cousin "Echoes: Live in Pompeii". Automatic Like if you do.
React to some T-Rex (Marc Bolan) Legendary rock from the 60’s . One point, more popular then the Beatles in England
Show your cousin comfortable numb or Run like Hell from pulse
Seriously Silas 🙄...you HAVE to give him a PROPER introduction to Floyd..1971 Pink Floyd Live at Pompei 😳...
Try some AC/DC live, thunderstruck
Not very typical PF song but anyway ... O2 Stadiums I think ...Show him production on Comfortably Numb, or One of these days,,
Silas - I’m really surprised at you! You claim that you’re a Pink Floyd fan and love this concert and yet you didn’t know the venue where it was held, nor even that it was in London! Are you really a fan?

Dave doing a George Benson
