Cry it out my man. I have done so many times in my life and I find it to be a sign of strength. We need more men in this world who are willing to feel and show it.
Don't worry, we've been crying for over 50 years, now we've cried for the 1k time and for you, welcome to the Pink Floyd club...you'll cry for 1k more and there's no shame...we love you!
This music hits differently, just plugs straight into your soul. Pink Floyd has changed all our lives for the better, made us realize the pure beauty and genius we have been privileged to witness in them. Peace.
Tears are the most honest expression of feelings, and no one should hide them! I am so sorry about your mother, and I wish you all the strength you need!
I lost my Mom a month ago. I feel your pain brother. I lost my Dad in 2019, he was a huge Pink Floyd fan so I got a “Wish You Were Here” tattoo in his memory. Losing a parent is a different kind of loss, a different kind of grief. It cuts deep. I’m sorry for your loss brother. Much love to you.
Ty for sharing your heart with us; it is truly precious. I miss my Mom so much. No one else can love you the way your mom does; it's just different and I miss it. God bless you, sweet brother ❤
This song hits everyone that has lost someone special the same way. No shame in it whatsoever. May you be comforted knowing your mum is in a better place.
Oh sweetie ❤ something must have really touched you. personally with this song. Wouldn't that have been a life experience to attend that concert? Peace to you Brother ❤❤❤❤
Franklyn, you beautiful human. There is no need to apologise for your emotions. I am so sorry for your loss. Music, and Pink Floyd in particular, do have healing properties. I was lucky enough to be living in London at that time and I was there at the Pulse concert!!! Welcome to the Pink Floyd club!!! Go well my friend.
Thank you for sharing your pain and your story. The world needs more men like you who are willing to be this strong. We are all on this life journey together and we will all go through the pain of losing our parents. I have... and I understand.
So sorry my freind . It only hits when its too late . Lost my Dad to covid , aways loved him but never showed it like i should have . My God , i miss him so much now hes gone . X
Try and think of it this way . Your mum is in a most beautiful place and she is looking down smiling at you as she always did . You haven't lost her , she has just gone Home . Like so many people who listen to pink floyd , their beautiful music gives you a chance to visit her for a while . Smile and enjoy her.

So sorry! In 2018 I lost 2 very close cousins, my wife, a wonderful aunt and my mother in the first seven months. My mom passed on my birthday. I feel you brother!! I believe every hard-core Pink Floyd fan has at least one song that hits them right in their heart and soul.
Isnt it great what great music can make us feel? :) Great authentic reaction! You seem like a great guy and Im sure your mum is looking down from heaven and send you a smile
it is so, so hard to listen to pink floyd because of the things they force you to think about and feel. but its so beautiful and rewarding. only real music can do this. im so sorry for your loss
I had this played at my fathers funeral service almost 9 ago. Still wish he was here, miss him more everyday. The more you loved a person, the more you’ll miss them
My first reaction with you, saw Floyd and had to watch, they have taken these newer generations by storm and its so incredible how many fans they have picked up after all these years and tears... keep watching them mostly from the Pulse '94 tour itll blow yoir mind, I saw 2 shows from that tour and will never forget it
You know it’s meaningful when it brings tears - quite a few Pink Floyd songs still get me misty eyed and I’ve been listening to them since the early 1970’s. Hugs!

Thousands of people if not hundreds of thousands of people over the years have played this song at their funerals! It's meant to remind people of the absence of someone and that's what it was written about! Another song off the "wish you were here" album "Shine on You Crazy Diamond" was written for original band member "Syd Barrett": who had to be let go from the band because of his mental issues that were tearing the band apart. They loved him and never abandoned him so it wasn't as sad as it could have been! But this particular song "Wish You Were Here" the lyrics were written by Rodger Waters who said it doesn't necessarily point toward one person but instead represents absence or loss and you can take that anyway you want because this is art and that's what art does!! You're not the first one who had tears because of this song because it made you remember someone and you won't be the last! Great reaction because that's what it's meant to do!
Thank you so much John for this lovely piece of information! It’s amazing to know these things. “Shine on You Crazy Diamond” has been recommended a lot to me, so I MUST react to it.

Sorry for your loss brother, I lost my mother last April it hurts like hell, especially when there your best friend. We all owe a debt thats the downside to the gift of life we've been given on earth, we will all depart eventually, mourn your mother but remember she lived so many years of joy , dont let her passing be the defining moment of her life, its as important to celebrate her life as it is to mourn.
This was the last song my brother played for me before he died, music written from the heart touches our hearts. Bless you dear heart, you are not alone ❤
My condolences to you my strong brother!🙏 I`m sure she`s proud of the man you`ve become and i wish you all the best in life going forward. Stay strong bro❤
Thank you for letting it out and letting us in. As I type this, my own mom is hospitalized and her fate is uncertain, and I haven't allowed myself a breakdown in an effort to put on a brave face and help keep her spirits as high as possible. This, you, allowed me to crack that facade and release some of the pressure in private, so when I say "thank you", I hope you understand just how sincerely I mean it. Condolences from the bottom of my heart. Pink Floyd is good therapy for many kinds of trauma, and if you keep exploring, no doubt they'll be your friend for years to come.
Thank you for your wonderful words - I’m sorry to hear about your mum; it’s hard to see the people you have so much love for suffer in pain. I’m sending you lots of hugs and love and hope that everything goes well. Prayers for her🙏🏿

I'm crying with you my friend. I'm sorry for your loss. I lost my mom 15 years ago. I've heard this song 1000 times since and still cry every time hearing it. That's what Pink Floyd does. Brings your emotions out every time

This was a very beautiful reaction Franklyn, and you showed great courage by allowing your emotions to show so freely. I can empathise with your feeling of loss for your Mum, and although it is now many years since my own Mother passed, - it was perhaps the most difficult thing I have ever been through. All I can say, if it helps at all, - is that the love you shared with your Mother NEVER diminishes, - it NEVER goes away, and in time I am sure you will look back with joy for the time you had together. If you are like me, then of course you will ALWAYS miss her, but I promise you that it becomes easier to deal with in time. That you allowed us to share this intimate time with you is testament to the fact that you are a good and loving man, & I am sure your Mother was proud of you, as you should be proud of yourself. I am approaching 70 years of age now, and David 's soulful and masterful performances still move as much now as they did when I was in my teens. It is a true joy to see that their music has meaning to young people like you. Stay strong Franklyn. Emotions such as you experienced today are all part of the healing journey. I send my thanks, and warmest wishes to you.
Thank you so much Cooper for your lovely words! Reading them gives me so much strength and courage - I appreciate. Time is a healer😊. Sorry about your mum🫂

I sincerely hope you have a bright future. Life is hard, but we live in a beautiful world. Try to enjoy it while you can
I'm so sorry, Brother. I lost mine in 2009 and I think we can all agree that we should have listened more. No one will ever love us as our mothers did.
Oh mate. My mum is 89, she’s really getting on now. Ten years ago, she still bestrode the world. She did, too. Iceland, Sumatra, Turkey, the Hermitage, she went there. The polar circle: yes baby. I don’t want to do without her, even if she feels she’s ready. I’m not. I’m still that kid. I need my mum.
@@Franklynreact thank you....sadly loss is an inevitability of living and loving. Mums are very special though so I send you hugs and love. My mum was the last one I lost too. 😘🤗❤
This song brings so many emotions, but when you loose someone you love, this song goes to another level of emotion! Best of British! Welcome to the world of Floyd! Sorry for your loss! Bless you Brother!
Thanks for the true and intense reaction, great Soul! I cry with you, great Man, so I have often and continuously done for forty years now! No shame, David and Pink Floyd are this, they touch and shake your Soul directly and in the bowels!
Great reaction! I've listened to this song for 40 years, although very moving, I never actually cried from listening. After my best friend died of cancer in 2016, I can't listen without crying.
I’m sorry for your loss. Mums are special and losing them, well it’s a grief like no other. 12 yrs on after the loss of my mum, and I still grieve her. I’ve lost most of my cornerstones in life, and this songs has them floating around me, every single time. We get it man. Hugs. 💔❤️🩹
I feel ya man, I lost my dad to COVID 2 years ago and lost my mom a month ago to ALS and this is really hard to listen to because we all 3 shared an absolute love for Floyd so this has been a tough listen for a little while now.
Came here just to send love bro!! Keep your head up!! Pink Floyd will never die! Their music is too raw and authentic! It will never get old watching people enjoy them for the first time. Even if it does hurt sometimes it is ok to cry and let it out! Please keep your head held high my friend!! ❤️
I am so sorry for the loss of your Mum. Time does heal, trust me, but the rawness hurts like hell. It sounds like you has a very close bond. I am sure she is somewhere with you in her heart
Thanks a lot Tommy! I’m her youngest child and by far the closest. Every time I was on the phone to her, she just wouldn’t want the conversation to end! We had a very close and strong bond. Sometimes, I wish I could pay her a visit wherever she is, just for a few days.
Franklyn, what you just did was pull your heart out of your body, wrap it in a little box, and hand it to all of us. For free. You have a great heart, which your mother helped you build, and in doing so she gave us all a gift like she gave you. Thank you for sharing some of your beautiful soul with us. May we all keep the memory of dear people in our hearts and minds forever. ❤
You're really listening now...I loved my father like you do your Mom and there is nothing wrong with listening to your heart. I miss him everyday. I can't ease your pain but I can Subscribe and give you a well deserved Thumbs up. Peace my Brother...

I lost my mom also and was thinking the same thing. God bless you sir.
So sorry to hear of your loss - sending you lots of love🩷🩷🫂❤️.

I feel ya man, I lost my dad to COVID 2 years ago and lost my mom a month ago to ALS and this is really hard to listen to because we all 3 shared an absolute love for Floyd so this has been a tough listen for a little while now.
So sorry about your mum and dad🫂. I can imagine the pain you’re going through. Stay strong David❤️.
PINK FLOYD at their best such an emotional journey the best
Came here just to send love bro!! Keep your head up!!
Pink Floyd will never die! Their music is too raw and authentic! It will never get old watching people enjoy them for the first time. Even if it does hurt sometimes it is ok to cry and let it out!
Please keep your head held high my friend!! ❤️
Thanks a lot brother! I appreciate
🥲🤗 Hugs to you….Your heart is huge.❤️
Time will heal the pain my Brother. Gilmore always brings emotion to the listener, it's the way he plays.
Time is a healer. David Gilmour is an extraordinary human. Thanks a lot, I appreciate.
They always touch your soul with their music.. love from Holland😘
Bless your heart! I still dream of my mom after 20 yrs. It hurt at first, and then I decided to just enjoy her in my dream.
Dear Judy,
Sorry to hear about your mum, but thank you for sharing this with me - I’ll learn to start enjoying her in my dreams. Thank you😊
I am so sorry for the loss of your Mum. Time does heal, trust me, but the rawness hurts like hell. It sounds like you has a very close bond. I am sure she is somewhere with you in her heart
Thanks a lot Tommy! I’m her youngest child and by far the closest. Every time
I was on the phone to her, she just wouldn’t want the conversation to end!
Its okay brother thats what this song is for.
😊
You're really listening now...I loved my father like you do your Mom and there is nothing wrong with listening to your heart. I miss him everyday. I can't ease your pain but I can Subscribe and give you a well deserved Thumbs up. Peace my Brother...
Thanks a lot Mark, I appreciate! Peace🫂
Seeing Pink Floyd Live in concert, best believe we're all a 🥺 blubbering pile of mush by the time we're all singing 😭 "We're just 2 lost Souls swimming in a 🐟🐠 fishbowl".... 😒 Not even joking. 😔 RIP Sid. 🙏🏿🐰
