- Hello my Creative Peeps!! I am so excited to be coming to you today with the first Installment of our "I Try Your Wishlist Supply" series. In this series, each month I test out a different Art Supply based on your suggestions.
This month we are testing out Acrylic Inks! Are they any good for journaling? Let's find out!
In this video I tried a variety of brands including Liquitex, Amsterdam, Abstract Sennelier and Daler Rowney. Can you guess which brand I ended up liking the most?
(note: This video is not sponsored in any way and all of the products in the video were purchased with my own hard earned money).

OMG It's so fun to watch u playing those colors!!!
I am so happy that you enjoyed the video Jane!
So excited for this series!! I have never tried acrylic inks before but this was an awesome video.
I am so happy that you enjoyed it Misty! ❤
That neon pink!!!! 😻😻😻😻😻
I know right?!? Had to have it. lol
Great Video! Great idea to compare brands and show case their differences/similarities. I'd love to see water soluble crayons or pencils.
I'm glad you enjoyed it! Thanks so much for the suggestions! I will add them to the list!
I love Liquitex inks but they WILL separate if you store them for a long time. At least mine did! Shaking them up thoroughly can be a pain but the inks work fine afterwards. I found that stirring them up with a straightened out paperclip jumpstarted the process of remixing. They are well worth buying even with the extra effort. I'm thinking about adding stainless steel mixing balls to mine but haven't done it yet...
Thanks so much for sharing your experience with them. They are great inks! Love the paperclip idea to get them started. Thanks for watching!
@@leannejournals You can put small stainless steel ball/marble/mixing ball so they remix easier, however then you can't really shake it heavily because they come in glass bottle, but I think you don't need that strong shake. Anyhow, proceed at own risk :) I was thinking of buying them and it's hard to find comparisons between them and golden high flow side to side, but your video definitely helped me understand difference between how liquitex behaves vs other two inks. I think I'll definitely get some now :D
Have You Tried Acrylic Inks Before? I'd love to know!
& Don't forget to leave below your suggestion for what supply I should try next!
I don't care for the liquid inks because of the sheen. I also dont like how large the bottles are. I dont have the space to store them. I really loved your brand comparisons.
My vote for February would be watercolor pens. I want to invest in a nice set. As always thank you for your time. I'm loving your vids.
Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts Tanya! I can definitely understand where you are coming from. I will go ahead and add Watercolor Pens to the list! So happy that you are enjoying the videos! ❤
Thank you for the wonderful video. Acrylic Ink is still on my Maybe Someday list...but i can hear it calling me. I want to try the feathering effect.....And the messy? looked without really trying... Love the effects on both papers thou.... Wondering if it can replace those spray thing....and do a DIY spray using acrylic ink. ....
I'm so glad you enjoyed the video! I'm not sure if they would make good sprays as they act like paint. If they dry at all in the nozzle it would clog the sprayer. You can do the feathering effect with lots of other mediums like watercolors! or even using spray ink with a brush! It's called the wet on wet technique. You just put water onto the page and them drop the color onto the water. It's a lot of fun!
