Y'all should put all the cutscenes on the timeline in the game for every expansion, dlc and season. That way new or returning players are no longer confused with the story.
Devotion leads to bravery, bravery leads to sacrifice, sacrifice leads to death. The reason the traveler would always leave civilizations is because it didn’t have faith that they could hold off the witness. It was always looking for people to protect it, because it always had the final safety net of resetting the timeline as we know from Elsie. But finally the traveler came to us, and it saw us sacrificing ourselves time and time again, for each other, for the future. We showed it that sometimes victory requires sacrifice. The traveler knew this would happen, it knew if it stayed it would die, but it stayed because it has faith in us that we can win.
I loved the part where Osiris said "It's Lightfallin' time" and Lightfalled all over Calus

@@eclips_total2215 Because Calus got betrayed. What would Calus have gained from sharing this information with us? Nothing. The Witness on the other hand made sure we 1. Got to the Veil and 2. Removed Calus as a Player
The best thing you should have done, was to divide the story in two. One of our guardian should have gone to defend neonuma, and a second one should have stayed on earth to defend the last city. This way, we should felt the emergency of the situation.
All of the campaign inwas wondering "why are we defending a dead city when the last 2% of the humanity is about to die"
We had to go the neomuna to defend earth. Our Ghost even questions whether we should’ve stayed or not but we needed to find the veil to stop the witness from making the connection (even though we still don’t know what the veil is or does)

The Destiny universe has such facinating lore. It's really amazing what the old Bungie Halo team came up with. Bungie now steered the game into this direction with the light and darkness which I think is still pretty good but man...there is so much potential. I hope they don't mess it up.

Something I've missed in my play throughs is the Witness saying at 10:48, "you will link the radial mast, and see the Veil destroyed".
He links the veil and opens the portal, but the veil is still intact. My guess is that this is important.
If a "veil" is pulled back it can be put back.
That vision was provided by the Witness itself. It's a trap, and shouldn't be taken at face value.

My favorite cutscene is the one where our guardian is trying the new strand power and keeps messing up. This quest has more cutscenes than ever before.
On a side note, now that Cayde is back, can I play the Forsaken quest again? I really want to see how it all happened again. I really want to play that quest again. Get a better understanding of what is happening.
Probably not until they add that campaign back into the game, if ever.
Also, I agree, That cutscene as a whole was probably the best thing that came out Lightfall, in terms of story.

I want to make a game that has real humans fighting a greater evil. A game that has relatable and a game that has real things in common with the world we live in today. I wonder if anyone has had a game like that.

sooo uh about the veil... what is it?
It’s a thing you have to get before the bad guy gets it or bad stuff happens. Spoiler, the bad guy gets the thing before the good guy and bad stuff happens…I guess?
Something about.. The core memory of the universe (multiverse?). It seems that the Witness wants to change everything into it's perfect vision of the universe. That's why it wants the power to access the Veil.

But the fact that it did travel through that portal, into what seems to be the Veil, and nothing happened until now.. It's weird. I thought the seasonal events would bring some more context, maybe this season, but everything looks like a big filler for The Final Shape expansion.
You guys should be ashamed for half-assing the story and still charging more

And with the leaks, we now know that destroying it wouldn't necessarily be the answer to what the Witness wants. Feels so hobbled together.
Destroying the Veil only comes up in the vision our Ghost provides after the Witness possesses it. It's a bit of misdirection on the Witness's part to trick us into getting close to the Veil without realizing it _needs_ the Veil.
@@LieutenantAlaki Honestly, with how Bungie have butchered this story since Destiny 1 vanilla, I think it's clear that they won't be able to deliver anything of substance or clarity to the extent that was Staten's original idea. I think you can make an argument for the Veil "misdirection", but let's use Occam's razor here and realize they just can't figure out how to tell a good story when they ALSO have to make 4 seasons with JUST enough drip fed content to keep their pocket books lined.

I just came up on this game and it's cool,but non of the characters are human. Yes they might have been humans at one time but they're not now. At least not full human. If the evil came now we would have to face it without powers. That's what would make it more believable in my opinion. Yeah your game is nice....Pepe Tucson Az
