@@nayyarrashid4661 He did not, not really. He listed the early critics against Elden Beast, including the inability to use Torrent. He did not say that you could now use it, and considering his video was made before the patch/the release of the DLC, he could not have known that. It's not a critic, I simply wanted to point out that it was now possible. I've been following Billy for months and love his content, don't take my post as a insult towards him.
I am really glad that you can now use Torrent during the Elden Beast fight. Not because I think it was nescessary, Elden Beast has always been one of my favourite fights, but because I hope people will stop hating on it so much.
My only problem with Radagon is that since he becomes phase 1 of Elden Beast, you start to get annoyed by having to fight him in order to go to the Elden Beast... I think it would have worked better if he was separated. Imagine you had to fight Gherman each time to reach Moon Presence, the fight would lose it's magic. That's what happens with Radagon, after a while you just want to be done with it.
I like Elden Beast more, too! It feels so epic when you finally take him down, versus just taking another human sized boss down. Radagon builds things up to help make the ending so climatic, but Elden Beast made me feel so good after. Plus, we had a really fast human sized fight right before Radagon with Godfrey, so it was nice to end things with a bang is a mystical arena, that makes you feel like you’re in another dimension.
Glad to see some love for Morgott! For me, his boss fight is the highest point in the game: presentation, cutscene, unique summon (Melina), cool and smooth moveset, top notch voice acting, unique dying dialogue, symbolic arena, fun gameplay, deep lore, incredible and fitting soundtrack, crucial story moment. Honestly, doesn't get better than this! Also, I love that Morgott, Mohg and Godfrey are probably the best boss fights of the base game, it kinda runs in the family!
So my favorite is Godfrey, surprise surprise. Speaking of delayed attacks. Morgotts spear toss is suuuper delayed! But his ultimate combo when he goes from daggers to sword to hammer is really cool!
4:24 one funny thing to mention is how different the Onyx and Alabaster Lords are when you fight them with or without heavier weapons. Without heavier weapons, they end up being very hard to stagger and are good at giving players a rough time... with heavier weapons though, it's very easy to run up to them and mash R1 until they stagger, get the riposte, and then rince and repeat until they die. There is no other boss that has such a dichotomy in their difficulty than these guys do, and it's rather silly to me
Elden Ring is my first souls and FromSoftware game. I’m about 20-25 hours into it and I’m loving it so far. I’ve been watching your videos a lot lately too and they’ve been very entertaining
As a huge fan of the crucible knight design both in terms of his appearance and mechanic wise I am happy to see then well placed at #6. It is the most satisfying boss duo boss fights in the game and probably in all the souls games barring the demon prince. It is also the fight that made me almost perfect my parry skills. I had to die to them a number of times so that I can parry them consistently. In contrast to my recent run the first run was absolutelt nightmarish when I couldn't land a single parry because of the Elden Ring PC launch. Due to them I spent little time getting used to final boss. His first attack is pretty similar to crucible knight attacks.
Radagon would have been my favorite fight in the game if not for Elden Beast. I've never liked Elden Beast mechanically (aesthetically is another conversation). I always said if you could ride Torrent in the Elden Beast fight then that duo would be a top 2 fight in the game for me. It's a shame that when they added the ability to ride Torrent, they also added Messmer to the game so they still aren't top 2, but I do enjoy the fight significantly more now.
As someone who actually doesn't really like fighting mages, Gideon is actually one of my favorite NPC fights in the game...is it because Gideon is my favorite character in Elden Ring? mmmmmmaybe, but idk I feel like hes just a neat little nerd to push around :) Also, ive always considered elden beast to be radagons second phase and not a separate fight, but they're definitely my favorite fight in Leyndell. And here's a very hot take, I dont really like Godfrey. I would like him a lot more if he didnt spam his shockwave AOE (or didnt use it at all), and if he just stayed still
Morgott is my favorite boss as well. In my first playthrough I had a really hard time adjusting to what Elden Ring bosses demand from you you compared to Dark Souls / Bloodborne bosses, and I didn't enjoy a lot of fights, but Morgott always stood out as one that I did really enjoy. And now that I've fought him again with more experience, he's still so much fun to contend with. Plus I love his lore, his voice acting, and all the dialogue both preceding and following the fight. On my first playthrough I only found Mohg the Omen and thought I'd beaten "Mohg" until I watched boss rankings and found out there was another, but now that I've fought the Lord of Blood I can say he's also one of my favorites, so I guess I just enjoy smacking around these two brothers.
This is a very good channel, in terms of production quality and script, everything is really well made, keep up the good work I love these ranking videos
I hope you make that subscriber goal. You have a great channel. I'm super burnt-out on ER, but your chill personality and honest presentation style have me coming back whenever you post a new video.
Favorite boss in the base game is Radahn, but do have to agree about Morgott being the best boss in the Capital. His fight feels more fun than the initial fight at Stormveil.
Morgott will always be my favorite, but Elden Beast is about... oh... 12 places too high. I would like and respect it and Radagon a lot more if you weren't forced to refight Radagon each time you die to Elden Beast. It's like if Gehrman were connected to the Moon Presence. A waste of two good bosses.
I still think they should have made the Scepter of the All-Knowing be able to cast both sorceries and incantations, sort of like the Talisman of Beasts from Demon Souls, because it being a hammer makes no sense. Edit: I know the dlc has it, but Gideon makes more lore sense as the boss to have it
Could you do a ranking of legendary weapons at some point? I’d love an in-depth analysis of which is best (I really wanna use the bolt but idk if it’s good)
A good half of the Legendary Weapons aren't very good, but the Bolt of Gransax is not on the bad list. It's one of the better weapons in the entire game and is a top 3 legendary weapon (right next to the Sword of Night and Flame and the Dark Moon Greatsword)
@@Cosmo054 I've been using it on my current playthrough, and it has only disappointed me once (against a Godskin Noble, who I'm pretty sure is resistant to Lightning damage). Aside from that, it's been really damn strong
@@ShinxBOOM247 I’m currently using a +10 Dark Moon Greatsword and the move sets kinda underwhelming so I wanna spice it up a bit. I just wanted to know if it was worthwhile. Sounds promising from your description tho
I personally feel sorry for Morgott, as I loved him as Margitt, but found him to be incredibly underwhelming as Morgott... I looked forward fighting him again, and ended up killing him way to quickly (I usually kill bosses in 100+attempts, but he only took me 20+attempts) A great boss nonetheless, and he has one of my favorite cutscenes, but I think he could have been a bit harder And before one says "yeah game's easy if you use the mimic tear". The Elden Beast fight looks beautiful, but is fire giant part 2 in terms of mechanics. I'm currently struggling to beat it for the first time, because when i go in close to hit it, it's hard to see what attack it's doing and where the attack is.
In my first playthrough, I was playing 1.00 for some reason, and Esgar’s dogs could one shot me. Second worst Elden Ring boss. Still not as bad as Fire Giant.
For people who are good at parrying in Elden Ring. I am woefully awful at it, though I think one day I'll do a playthrough with parrying as a part of my base moveset so I can get better.

Radagon is soo cool. Another thing about Elden Beast: you can now use Torrent during the fight since the latest patch.
This makes the fight actually fun imo, almost likee it was intended from the beginning
I finally went back and defeated Elden Beast and I didn't really feel the need to summon torrent. I am so used to fighting him on foot.
