This widget is unobtainable. I've been trying to get the app created since this video released, but I'm getting the same error as everybody else. Unless there is a workaround I don't know about.

another thing i want to point out is that this widget is the best one out there and that is due to the compact yet aesthetic design AND!!! when changing from song to song there is zero delay unlike other widgets like songify, snip and Pixel chat etc.

For those having Spotify app creation problems, per another user's suggestion, it could be due to already having an app created. I had an app already, and kept getting the error, so I edited the existing app and just added the redirect URI to it and all seems to work from there. I still can't make a second app, but the first works fine.
They speculate it might have to do with permissions on your old Spotify account not being in sync with the current Spotify, which then breaks the app creation for some reason.

Great tutorial! How would I set this up with a dual pc set up? The issue here is I have my music playing on my gaming PC not the streaming PC.
I love this! But as a pleb that still uses Song Requests on my stream with the Streamlabs Chatbot I don't think I'll be able to use this efficienctly 😭

I'd also like to point out, for whatever it is worth, that you can alter CSS within OBS for most Browser sources, and that includes this one.
so if you know a little CSS, you can achieve a lot of cool effects or changes to the appearance without filters if you find that filters cause lag or high CPU/GPU/RAM usage

Currently Spotify has a problem in dev page. You cannot create an app. It gives an error when saving: "Something went wrong, we were not able to create your app. Please try again later." I hope they fix this soon. This widget look dope. Cheers!

This only seems to be an issue if you already have an app/extension. I was able to edit my BarRaider intergration and it worked immediately

The only issue I have is that whenever I play the "DJ" Feature on Spotify, idk why but it sort of bugs out and I can not see it in my Stream preview for some reason. But when I play another playlist it doesnt bug out.

I would like to use UA-cam music (since I pay for it anyway), but I don't like the idea that it will mix into my YT history and influence my Home/Recommended feed. This is of course based on the experience I had when YT music first launched. I have no idea if that no longer happens.

hey! i imported this widget into OBS but when I hide the layer my OBS is not responding and crashes every time. any thing i can do to fix this?
this also happens when i switch from scene to scene a little faster.
Edit: It turns out to work perfectly in OBS safemode
